Round 2!

Day #85

Round two of Initiation for our little Alphas is tonight! I'm excited! :)  Tonight's our more laid back night, so I'll get the chance to relax and talk with sisters, which is always nice!

I only had one class today, like always, and afterwards I went home for lunch with my mom and the daycare kids. I didn't like the meal they were having, so I ended up making myself a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, some mixed veggies, and then I ate some chips and dip as well. It was yummy!

After the kids went down for naps, I left and headed to the union, on campus, to get the last fifteen minutes that I needed for my mentored hours. :P  I got that taken care of and then I just chilled there for another hour before going back to my room to watch some more "Buffy," which is what I'm doing now. So exciting. -_-

To be honest, as much as I've complained about not having much to do, other than watching Netflix, it has been SO NICE! I went from being constantly busy and overwhelmed with homework, to not having anything to do for class and a few errands to run here and there. I'm loving it! :)  It's nice to get a break every once in a while.

Last night, when I went to Target, I bought a new pair of black Champion sweatpants (from the boys' department), so I wore those today. They're super comfy and I love them! lol  I wore my 2012 Vacation Bible School shirt with the pants, my Nike running shoes, and my grey Iowa Hawkeyes crew neck sweater. It was a comfy casual day. :)

I'm going to skype here in a little bit with Gage. Then I'm going to dinner with Gretchen, a meeting for work at seven for an hour, our Pride Cry buddies, SAE, are serenading my sorority at eight and then Initiation starts at 9PM! Whoop whoop! :)

I'm hoping for an amazing night! :) *fingers crossed*

Mother Nature hates me.

Day #84

So, it was cold again today. Mother Nature clearly hates me, which is why she is making the weather nasty all of a sudden. Ugh. It's so cruel.

When I had gone home yesterday, my mom gave me a shirt from the weekend, when my parents went to Kentucky for the Tough Mudder. They had extra, so, lucky me, I got one. Woohoo...:P lol  When I was picking out my outfit for today later that night, I couldn't figure out what to wear, so I decided to wear the new shirt. I mean, why not? haha

The shirt is a black Tek Gear fitted t-shirt, that says "Pack of Steel" on the front (like the Steelers and the Packers) and the back says "Tough Mudder Kentucky 10/20/13." My dad is a Steelers fan, and my Uncle, his son and two son-in-laws are all Packers fans, so that's why the shirt says what it does. :P lol  With the shirt, I wore American Eagle skinny jeans, grey UGG sweater boots, a light grey Mossimo Supply Co. zip-up hoodie, and a black puffy vest from Old Navy. I'm not really sure what I was trying to get across with my outfit, but I was kept warm and I didn't really care about what I looked like. :P

I worked from 2:30-5:30PM, after class, and then I went to Target, to get some groceries and a new black dress for Initiation, and I went to dinner with Morgan once I got back on campus. Dinner was pretty good, actually! I had rotini noodles, with pesto sauce, french fries and some fruit cocktail. Yum yum! :) haha  Gage and I skyped for a little bit afterwards, and then I went to Greek study tables and Initiation afterwards.

Tonight we started the first night of Initiation, and it went well. I thought it was going to take forever, but it actually only ended up taking about forty-five minutes or so to do. Yay! :) haha  I wasn't very tired after, so I watched some "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" on Netflix, and then went to sleep around midnight. I'm so cool. ;) lol

I hope you had a great hump day!

Family day :)

Day #83

Well, it snowed today. Yuck.

I didn't do much with myself today, except half-straighten my hair, dab a little makeup on, and attempt to get a semi-matching outfit put on. I threw on a tie dye v-neck, that Katy made for me, black yoga leggings from Victoria's Secret, magenta rain boots from Target, and a Victoria's Secret PINK purple zip-up hoodie. I was really in a "I don't care what I look like" mood. :P

After I turned in my paper for my theatre class, and sat through an annoying lecture, I went tanning. It only made sense that I would go tanning on a crappy, snowy and cold day...:)  After tanning, I went home for lunch with my mom, and Katy happened to be home as well, and I went to Katy's doctor appointment with them after we ate. She's been having ankle problems, so they did some testing at the doctor's office, in hopes to figure it all out, but no luck. :(  She got a total of fifteen tubes of blood taken from her, the poor thing! I felt bad for her. :(

Since the doctor took so long, she didn't end up going to school at all. Plus, she had an orthodontist appointment, along with Kimmy, so she was going to have to get out of school early anyways. It ended up being a girls' day/afternoon, and then I ended up staying home for dinner with the whole family. Mommy made chicken and noodles, and it was yummy! :)

I went back to my dorm to do some mentored hours, aka watch Netflix since I had no homework, and then I went to bed early. Even though it was a gross day outside, I really did have a pretty great day with my family! :)

Happy Tuesday!

Monday, Monday, Monday...merh.

Day #82

I am so tired today! This weekend has seriously kicked my butt. :(

I slept so hard last night, not waking up once throughout the night. It was so nice!!!

Class this morning was fine, but I've been dying in my other classes. I want nothing more than to take a nap and not do anything for the rest of the day. But I have stuff to get done, unfortunately.

To stay warm and be comfy today, I wore a brown knitted sweater, from Old Navy, American Eagle dark denim bootcut jeans, a burgundy floral print tank top from Forever21 and gold sparkly ballet flats from Target. I was going to wear this outfit yesterday but then ended up not going to church before work, so I saved it for today.

After class, I'm planning on writing my Theatre paper, which is due tomorrow, and then I'm going to take a long and refreshing nap. Its going to feel AMAZING! I can't wait! :) lol

Have a great Monday night!

Sometimes I really hate my life.

Day #81

The struggle was so real today. I was exhausted all day from the long weekend, and I was put to extreme labor all day at work. I had to clean up everything from the night before (Zombies) and that took FOREVER! I didn't get the chance to sit down and eat until an hour before I was done for the day. It sucked. I was so tired from the day, and I was starting to get sick, so I was absolutely miserable all day. I ended up not going to chapter meeting because I was feeling so crappy. Instead, I went with Katy and Kimmy over to my grandparents' house for dinner, and then I hung out at my house with the girls for a little bit before going back to my dorm. It was a poopy day, other than hanging out with the girls.

Me being sad at work because I was tired and sick :(
I wore my work shirt, my black work zip-up "Ref" jacket, dark denim American Eagle bootcut jeans, and my black faux TOMS, from Maurices. That's pretty much it.
I hope you all had a better weekend than I did! :)

Time to play catch up!

So I've managed to get myself a "little" behind on my outfits. I've made the decision to cram the last week into one post. I don't remember everything that happened in the last week, and I don't want to have to submit a different post for each outfit when they're going to be short short, so it makes more sense to put all of it in one. Here we go!

Day #73

Saturday, I worked from 11am-4pm, missed out on the Homecoming game, got locked out of my dorm for thirty minutes, and then I went to a play for class and spent the rest of the night doing homework. Yay. -_-

After work, I changed into a purple UNI t-shirt, American Eagle dark denim skinny jeans, and black flip flops. Very fashion forward of me...;) lol

Day #74

Sunday, I work up early for 10:45am church service, with my mom and sisters, went home for lunch, worked on a group project for my online class, and had chapter meeting.

For church, I wore a new tank top from Express. It's light blue, with silver studs, and is super soft and comfy. With the tank, I wore a grey cardigan from Gap Kids, light denim American Eagle skinny jeans turned into crop pants, and silver Xhilaration ballet flats from Target.

Day #75

Monday, Monday, Monday...I really despise Mondays. -_-  I had a ton of homework to get done and two of the many assignments were due by 4pm that day. Yuck. But, I did manage to get some mentored hours done, so that was good! Other than that, the day was quite bland. I had a small panic attack, passed out for almost two hours, and then I felt a little bit better. lol  Sometimes I just need a break from homework and life itself. I even turned my phone off because I couldn't handle getting text messages. I'm so pathetic. -_-

Since I was running short on time for getting ready, I threw my hair up into a sock bun. Then, I wore a pink, orange, and grey ombre looking long sleeve shirt, from American Eagle, dark denim American Eagle skinny jeans, made into crop pants, and grey Xhilaration canvas shoes that I got from the kids' department at Target.

Day #76

IT'S BREA'S BIRTHDAY! AHHHH!!!!! And she's 21. BOOM. :) lol

Today, I had one class, after which I went tanning and home for lunch with mom and the daycare kids. We had bagel bites! Whoop whoop! :) haha  I spent a ton of time of homework, again, and went to a meeting for Zombies in the City at 6pm. It was dumb. After that, I went to pick up some potential new members for open recruitment, took them to the house for our event, and went back to my room around 9pm.

I wore a sparkly navy sweater, with white horizontal stripes, from Forever21, American Eagle skinny jeans, and my silver Xhilaration ballet flats.

Day #77

My science teacher - and yes I mean teacher (he's not a professor)- decided to be a total douche monkey today and assign a crap ton of homework, all of which is due two days from today. NOT OKAY. Ugh. Whatever, somehow I manage to always make it work, so no stressing...for now. :P  I decided to go to study tables, to get more mentored hours and to study, obviously. lol  I got a lot of homework done, actually, and then I left around 9pm to do Delta member stuff at the Alpha Delta Pi house.

I could have cared less about my appearance today. I didn't take a shower until after my 8am class, and then I didn't even bother to do my hair or makeup. Come to think of it, I'm pretty sure my outfit didn't even match...yeah, it definitely didn't. :P  I wore a green long sleeve shirt (usually for pajamas) with Victoria's Secret PINK yoga leggings, grey sweater-like UGGs, hot pink argile tall socks, and a light grey Rocky Mountain High hooded sweatshirt, that I got in Colorado the summer after my senior year of high school, when I was on a church trip.

Day #78

Today was Adam's 22nd birthday! Whoop whoop! :)  I had a group project meeting, tanning and lunch at my house after class, work from 2:30-5:30pm, and then an Alpha new for our new ADPi member! It was at 9pm, so I didn't get back to my room until almost 10, so I was exhausted by then. Grandma can't stay out that late anymore. :P lol

Today I looked pretty bad a**! ;) I wore a purple long sleeve scoop neck fitted shirt, from Victoria's Secret, a denim vest/jacket, black Victoria's Secret PINK yoga leggings, and my black S&M combat boots from Sears. So hawt. ;)

Day #79

Yay for Friday!!!

I had two projects, two homework packets, a homework sheet, and a paper due all for one class, plus a test in another class. Gag. I worked after class from 2:30-6:30pm, went home for dinner with my dad (we had chinese together), and went home and to bed. It was a real exciting Friday. -_-

For "Panther Friday," I wore a navy UNI shirt, dark denim American Eagle bootcut jeans, and my Nike tennis shoes. I forgot to take a picture, so I guess you'll just have to use your imagination. :P lol

Day #80

I ended up staying up late watching Netflix Friday night, so I slept in a bit today. I woke up around 10am, got ready for the day and packed up some stuff for home, got Starbucks and headed home. Kimmy, my youngest sister, hadn't gotten out of bed yet for the day, even though it was past 1pm, so I went downstairs to her room to wake her butt up for the day. :P  While she was getting ready for the day, I started my laundry and watched "Halloween Town," which is one of my favorite Halloween movies! Yay!!! :) haha  We headed out of the house around 2:30pm, to pick up some of my sisters for Zombies, and head to the store to get our Zombie makeup on. I ended up not being turned into a zombie, since I was actually working the event, so I stayed up front and answered phones and what not. It was real exciting. -_-  We didn't even end up getting much business. A whole six groups came through in the seven hours we were open. SO PATHETIC. It was a long night, and I didn't get home until almost 1am. I had yet to eat dinner, so before going home, I went to Pancheros and got Katy and I burritos. YUM!

Since I had to work, I wore my green work shirt, my black combat boots, and my black Victoria's Secret yoga leggings...again. :P lol  So original...;)

Sorry for the really long post, but I didn't want to put them all in separate posts, and they wouldn't be long enough to make sense for me to do all separate posts. Sorry not sorry. :)

PRIDE CRY FINALS!

Day #72

It's finally Friday. Thank the Lord!

Today was Pride Cry finals, and, unfortunately, we came in second. :(  I was SO certain that we would win!!! Apparently, the only reason that we came in second was because we went over time by four seconds. -_-  And I found all of this out from a very credible source! (It was a girl on the Homecoming committee, so she knows her stuff!) So, in my eyes, we got first place, and I plan on saying first place on the bro tanks I'm going to hopefully design for everyone! :)

I was pretty upset, and didn't plan on doing anything special afterwards for Homecoming, but then my sister, Gretchen, convinced me to find something to do with her. We ended up going over to another sister's apartment and hung out, playing "Cards vs. Humanity" and socializing. After an hour or so of being there, we went over to that sister's boyfriend's apartment, who happens to be in the same fraternity as Gage, and continued to have fun. :)  Gretchen and I ended up heading out around 11pm, and I went back to my dorm to skype with Gage for a little bit.

Oh! So Gage's birthday was today! He turned twenty-two, and also graduated from "A School" earlier that day. :) It was all sorts of exciting today!

Other than Pride Cry finals, I had class and work from 2:30-6:30pm. It wasn't too exciting of a Friday night and Homecoming, but oh well. :P

Today I wore my Homecoming t-shirt, in honor of it being the start of Homecoming weekend. The shirt is white, with a purple bow tie and buttons on the front, and then it says "University of Northern Iowa Homecoming 2013" underneath, and "Purple Tie Affair" on the bow tie, since the theme of Homecoming is Purple Tie Affair. Then I wore my American Eagle dark denim skinny jeans, with the rips, silver Candie's sandals, and a black fitted Champion zip-up jacket, from Target. To add to the theme of Homecoming in my outfit, I put a cute purple sequin bow in my hair behind my poof. :)

Have a great weekend!

I keep thinking today is Friday...awk.

Day #71

Is it seriously only Thursday?! This has seemed like the LONGEST week of my life! It probably didn't help though that I thought Monday was Friday...yeah probs not. :P lol

I feel like I have had so much to get done today! Between homework and little things I haven't had time to accomplish this week, my "to do" list is miles long (it seems)! :(

I only had one class, but I got a few things to do for that class over the weekend, plus I still have some homework left over from yesterday that I need to finish. On top of that, I "needed" (more like wanted) to go tanning today, which I did, I have to get prepared for the play I'm going to Saturday night for theatre class, do some homework that's due on Monday, and I'm going to the observatory tonight for science class. Oh! And I had to get the last hour done for my mentored study hours and skype with Gage at some point. Goody. :P  I love skyping with Gage, so that's not the problem. I just wish I didn't have so many errands and such to do along with my loads of homework. Teachers are so mean to make me do so much homework on Homecoming weekend! :(  That's fine. It's not like I actually wanted to relax and have fun this weekend...-_-  (jerks.)

I've been doing a good job so far today, though, getting things done! My main focus was to get caught up on the blog. I've been slacking for almost a week, so it was about time I just sat down and got it all done! Hallelujah! :) haha  I know how much you all have missed hearing about my "exciting life"...;) just kidding!

Today I wore my American Eagle light denim cropped skinny jeans, again, a grey UNI Panthers t-shirt, and grey Old Navy flip flops, plus my Wartburg College dance team Columbia zip-up jacket. It has my name on the sleeve and it says Wartburg Dance Team on the right-hand side. :)  The only reason I really wear it, besides it showing off that I was on a college dance team (lol), is that it's super soft and warm and it cost me almost $50. I'm going to get my money's worth out of it. :) haha
I have to get going here soon for dinner, so I'm going to wrap things up! Hopefully I'll get the chance to go to the illusionist/magician tonight, which starts at 8pm, before heading to the observatory, and I'll get the chance to skype with Gage again, since our talk earlier wasn't for very long. Wish me luck! :)
Oh! And p.s.-- IT'S GAGE'S BIRTHDAY TOMORROW AND HE'S GRADUATING FROM "A SCHOOL"!!!!!!!! :)  He's going to be twenty-two, so I plan on singing Taylor Swift's "22" to him lots, and I plan on making fun of him only a little bit for being such an old fart. ;)  It's going to be a beautiful day! :) lol

Have a great night! :)

Getting it on Hump Day! ;)

Day #70

I had to work today. That was basically it. I went from having a completely stressful past couple of days, to only having to work. It was so nice!

I felt like looking real cute and fierce today, so I pulled out all the stops! lol  I WENT KIDS' DEPARTMENT ON Y'ALL.

Remember how I said that on Sunday Katy and I did some shopping at Target? And she may have bought some "interesting garments" from the kids' department? Yup. That happened. lol

She bought a blue fitted shirt that had a gold sequin collar on it and leopard print leggings. I kid you not! We had originally saw them in the kids' section when we were walking past the clothing, and knew that we just had to try them on, as a joke of course! It's just the way we are. So, also as a joke, we paired them together, and when we came out of the dressing room, we decided that we actually looked really good and the outfit wasn't so horrid as we had originally thought! Unfortunately, though, there was only one of the shirts, so I let Katy buy it, and then I requested to be allowed to borrow the outfit at some point to wear! haha

So Wednesday was the day.

I wore the top and leggings TOGETHER, along with Kimmy's gold sandals from Rue21. Both the shirt and bottoms were Cherokee brand, which is a children's brand, so that's cool. :P lol  Essentially, the only thing I was wearing that day that was mine was my jewelry (and undergarments, obviously). lol  Gotta love having sisters the same size as you! :)
I got loads of complements, oddly enough, and I was sad when the time came to change for work. :(  I left for work almost immediately after class, went to the eye doctor to pick up my new contacts that came in, and headed to work until 8:45pm!

Work wasn't too bad! No one came in, thank the Lord, so Derek and I did a lot of cleaning and I had the time to get some homework done for the night. Afterwards, I went to Kwik Star (the gas station/convenience store that I used to work at) to get something to eat and then I went to my room to get ready for bed. Gage and I didn't get the chance to skype, or really talk at all the entire day, but I did call him and talk for about fifteen minutes before bed. :)

SEASON SIX OF GOSSIP GIRL WAS FINALLY ADDED TO NETFLIX SO I WATCHED ONE EPISODE BEFORE BED!!!!!! I was so pumped when I got an email from Netflix saying that it was added, after waiting for a year! I couldn't resist. :)

That was my Wednesday. I hope yours went well too! :)

Day 69...haha ;)

Day #69

Well. It's Tuesday again...so that's cool. ;) lol

I was on such a high today! I was still in such a great mood from Monday night, and I was determined to keep this mood going through the rest of Homecoming week! Oh yeah, I don't think I ever mentioned this, but it's UNI's Homecoming this week!!! :) lol

I had a test this morning, which kind of sucks, but it wasn't too hard of a test. It was for my theatre class, so I didn't have to wake up super early for it and the content wasn't too difficult. Yay! :)  After I got out class I did some homework and skyped with Gage. Oh, and another thing, Gage had his final comprehensive test for A School yesterday, which he passed, so on Friday he'll graduate from that program and become a third class petty officer!!! So, basically, he'll get paid more and he now has a TON more free time to talk to me, which I love! :)  So yeah, we get to talk at more convenient times now.

Katy came over to my dorm around 2pm, to hang out, after she got out of school. We talked and caught up on the week, and I got to see her newly died RED HAIR!!! :)  It actually looks really good on her! I went with her to pick up Kimmy from school, around 3, and we went home for a little bit. I ate a snack/lunch, since I had yet to eat that day (oops), and Katy took me back to my dorm around 4pm.

We had a "Zombies in the City" meeting for work, since it's coming up in a few weeks, to talk about how we're going to run the event this year, and who is going to be doing what. Since a couple of my sorority sisters are volunteering to help out at it, they came with, and got the chance to see what I do at work. Real exciting. :P

We got fed there and headed back to campus around 6:30pm. That ended up working out perfectly, because I wanted to go to Greek study tables in the union from 7-9 to get two of my mentored hours done for the week, before a short Pride Cry practice (which lasted seven minutes, lol). I got a lot done at study tables, thank God, and then I talked to Gage for a little bit before going to bed!

Today I wore a pink v-neck with my letters on it, in a pink and brown floral pattern, with a light grey "throwback" ADPi crew neck, that had pink and red plaid letters, light denim skinny jeans from American Eagle, which I turned into crop pants, and my silver Candie's sandals. I call my crew neck "throwback" because it was given to me by a family friend who was an ADPi at UNI, like me! She had gotten the sweater when she was still an active member, and figured it was time to pass it down to another sister. I love it! :) haha

It was still a busy day, but I didn't feel quite as stressed out as I did last week! Yay! :)

Stay fabulous!

PRIDE CRY!!!!!

Day #68

OH MY GOSH OH MY GOSH OH MY GOSH!!!!!! The day of Pride Cry is FINALLY here!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :))))))))

I seriously could not focus in class at all today, and I was just staring at the clock waiting for it to read 2pm so I could begin getting ready for Pride Cry! :)

I got out of class at 1:50pm and headed back to my dorm room to meet up with Gretchen, so we could get ready for our performance later that night! We were meeting everyone at the SAE house at 3pm, to run through the routine a couple times, make sure everyone had everything on (attire wise), and celebrate a pre-Pride Cry win (we knew we'd make it to finals, without a doubt). ;) lol  All I had to do to get ready was fix my hair and makeup, put on some jewelry, and change my shirt.

Side note: I decided over the weekend to find a new job, so I submitted an application and resume to the business center here on campus, to hopefully be a receptionist! Yay! :)  Laser tag has gotten to be so stressful lately! I'm starting to dread going into work, which sucks, and it's all because I have a semi-psychotic boss. He just ruins the fun of the job, and is so unprofessional that it kills me! I just need to get out. ASAP.
So yeah, I got to the SAE house a little before 3pm. Once everyone was there, we ran through the routine a few times, doing both the dance and lyrics together and then again only saying the lyrics, and we ended the practice by taking some fabulous group pictures! :)

My partner, Jordan, and I :)
Pride Cry choreography team :) <>
Pride Cry started at 5:30, so we headed over to the top of the union around 5pm. We went second, and ABSOLUTELY CRUSHED IT!!!!!! I could not have been more proud! :)  We had originally thought we got disqualified, for time, but that was just a rumor and a miscommunication, thank God! After everyone had performed, they announced the three groups going on to finals, which are on Friday after the pep rally. They listed Dance Marathon, SAA and Cats, and...ALPHA DELTA PI AND SIGMA ALPHA EPSILON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was seriously one of the most exciting moments of my life! I was so happy and overwhelmed and just completely shocked, since I thought we had been disqualified! We well-deserved making it to finals! :)
Here's the link if you wish to watch our performance (which you should)! :)  ADPi and SAE Pride Cry!!!

I went to a celebratory dinner with sisters who were in Pride Cry, in the dining center, went back to my room to skype, did some homework, and called it a night!

During the unimportant part of the day, lol, I wore my new black and grey leopard print long sleeve sweater, from Express, black yoga leggings from Victoria's secret, and black SM New York combat boots from Sears. I looked gorgeous, as usual. ;) haha
It was such an amazing day! :)

Hallelujah, it's Sunday! :)

Day #67

I slept like a baby Saturday night! I felt so well-rested when I work up for church, it was great!

I decided last night to go to the 10:45am service at my church with Katy today, and I'm really glad I did! It put me in such a great mood, and I needed that after the stressful week I had with work, school, ADPi/Pride Cry, and Navy drama with Gage. I felt so revived and ready for the week ahead! :)

After Katy and I got out of church, we went to Target together, where we tried on absolutely outrageous items from the kids' department, naturally, and ended up buying some interesting garments of clothing (or at least she did). lol  We went back home for lunch afterwards, and I got my groceries from home that my parents had gotten me on Saturday. Since I didn't have much else planned for the day, other than a tiny bit of homework and chapter meeting at 7pm, I was able to relax for a while and spend time with my family! :)

I headed back to my dorm, did some homework, skyped for a little bit, and eventually got some dinner and changed my outfit for meeting. Meeting went decently fast, for once, which was amazing, so then I didn't have to worry about staying up late trying to get the rest of my homework done and preparing for the next day!

To church, and for most of the day, I wore a white 3/4 sleeve length blouse, with a Native American-type brown and black pattern on it, with American Eagle basic skinny jeans and a pair of brown SO brand ballet flats from Kohls. I looked cute and I was comfy, so it was a win win! :)
That's it for my Sunday! Have a wonderful Monday! :)

Middle shift bliss!

Day #66

I FINALLY got to work a middle shift today at work!!! I always either open or close, but today I was only there from 1-5pm, so I didn't have to do either! I was so freaking happy!!! :)

After getting an amazing night of sleep, I work up around 9am to get ready for the day, and get some homework done before going to work. It ended up working out perfectly that I got up early, since Gretchen texted me shortly after getting out of the showering, asking if I was up for going to the dining center for lunch around 11am. I had time to finish getting ready and clean up my room a bit before heading out.

The dining center food was actually really good, surprisingly! I had a bacon cheeseburger, some grapes, lemonade, and little tater tots! YUM. :)  Gretchen and I just relaxed for a little bit while eating, just to catch up on each other's weekend plans, and talk Pride Cry, since she's one of my fellow choreographers for the routine.

We were incredibly busy at work! I'm really glad I ate before work, because there is NO WAY I would have had time to eat in my four hour shift! We had party after party, both courses booked out, and tons of cleaning to do around the store. Ugh. I was so glad to leave when I did!

After getting off work, I ran to Hobby Lobby down the street to get some purple and gold beads and a purple bow for Pride Cry on Monday. Jessi, Katy's best friend, was off fifteen minutes after me, so I had time to run to Hobby Lobby before we went to Panera for dinner together. It was so good! Plus, it was nice to sit and relax after a hectic day at work. :P  When I got done eating, I went to Bath and Body Works to get some new wallflower scents, and then I ended up stopping into Express, since they had their semi-annual clearance sale. I obviously found things that I just HAD to have! lol  I bought a light blue tank top, with silver stud-like gems on it, and a black and grey leopard print long sleeve sweater, which I plan on wearing on Monday. They're so cute! :)

Speaking of clothes, when I wasn't working, I wore a black Victoria's Secret PINK v-neck t-shirt, brown ROXY sweat pants from TJ Maxx, which are the comfiest pants EVER, btdubs, and simple black flip flops from Old Navy. I wasn't in the mood to get too dressed up, since I was just going to be in my room all day relaxing, other than going to work, so it was perfect. :)
I got back to my room about forty-five minutes after dinner, skyped with Gage, and then called it a night around 9:30/10pm. I'm so lame. :P haha

Hopefully you had a more exciting weekend than I did!

Stay fabulous!

Freaky Friday

Day 65

Hey!! Look who's all caught up!! Yay!! My day today was ridiculous. Well, ok, the work part of my day was ridiculous. I worked 9-6, and I kid you not, all of the crazy and annoying people got together and decided to come into Plato's today. I literally wanted to severely hurt more than a couple of people today, and I am NOT a violent person. One lady in particular was the worst. She comes in all the time, grabs a ton of clearance merchandise, tries it all on, and buys almost all of it. Nothing too abnormal, right? Wrong. Everytime she's come in when I've been working, I've ended up having to help her and ring her up, and she won't go to anyone else but me.

So today she comes in, goes straight to the clearance, grabs a bunch of stuff (about 40 items or so), asks for a bin to put them in, goes into the fitting room with ALL of said items (the limit is 6 items, in case you were wondering), spends a good 30 minutes to an hour trying things on, comes back out, and starts complaining that the fitting room door got grease stains on her dress when she draped it over the door. And when I say complaining, I mean following me around the store telling me all about it and how it's her favorite dress and asking me what can be done about it. After a good 15 minutes of doing this, she finally comes up to me as I'm working on a bag of clothing someone had brought in to sell to ask me if she can have some kind of monetary reimbursement for her ruined dress that A) I had never seen draped over the door, B) was one of the ugliest dresses I've seen, and C) had little wet spots around each tiny grease stain. These little wet spots looked like water that had been dabbed into the grease stains to try and get the grease out, and I would like to point out that there's no way she would've had access to water in our store since she didn't have a bag or any kind of beverage and since our store doesn't have a public bathroom. Chances are her dress was already stained before she came into the store.

Anyways, back to my story: so she asks me if she can have some kind of monetary reimbursement for her "ruined" dress, and I told her that I would have to ask my store manager. She then follows me to the back room door where I ask m boss what to do. He says we can take $5 off of her total purchase. When I tell her this, she's ok with that, but not even 2 minutes later, she comes up to me looking like she's about to cry and asks if we can do $10 off because $5 off is too low. At this point, my manager comes up to her and tells her we can only do $5 while I go to work on another buy that came in.

After a coue of minutes, the lady gets done taking to my boss, grabs the bin of stuff she wants to buy, brings it over to the counter where I'm going through a buy, sets it down in front of me, and tells me that she's ready to check out. Since I'm in the middle of a buy, another key holder comes up to the lady and tells her that she can help her on another register. The lady says she wants me to help her and insists on waiting for me to finish what I'm doing even after the key holder firmly states that I'm unavailable and won't be able to ring her up. Why you ask? Because I "always" ring her up, and she doesn't want anyone else to help her. This lady literally stood in front of me for a good 5 minutes, watching and waiting for me to finish my buy. The key holder had another employee take over my buy so I could just ring the lady up. Once I rang everything up (36 items that were on clearance for $1) and took off $5 from the total, she had the balls to question her $32.80 total since she supposedly only had 32 items. Not even. I was so done with her by that point. She the commenced to count out piles of $1 bills on the counter, watch me count them, and then tell me she wants to double check how many they were. OMFG I was so close to losing it on her, I kid you not.

I finally finish ringing her up, and as she's leaving the store, this crazy lady starts complaining about her ruined dress again. Swear to God, I'm not even kidding. She was literally that ridiculous. And did I mention that this all went down in the last hour or so of my shift and that I was still ringing her up when I only had 15 minutes left before my shift was over? Yeah... Way to end my shift on a bad note. I really hope I don't have to deal with her again, but I probably will have to since she comes in all of the time.

Ok, so now onto my outfit: I wore a cream American Eagle dress (Plato's $12) with a light wash Highway Jeans denim vest (Plato's $5) and a gold braided belt. So freaking fabulous, it's not even funny :-) I mean, I looked so awesome, right?!?! Right!! I was (and still am) so totally in love with this outfit, I don't know if you could tell or not... ;-)

I went with my nude Mossimo flats (Plato's $6) so I wouldn't draw too much attention away from the main parts of my outfit ;-) That, and they're not only comfy, but they also matched the bottom half of my dress to a "T"!! Win!!

I got home from work, relaxed with my husband, and then watched some Comedy Central until about 10:45 or so when I got ready for bed. Since I'm super tired from my ridiculous day, I'm going to hit the hay ASAP. So until tomorrow... Stay freaking fabulous :-) Ciao!!

Friday night lights

Day #65

Praise the great Lord above! It is finally Friday!!! :)

It has been an extremely busy and hectic and chaotic week! Today could not have come fast enough. :P

After my second class, I was done for the day. My philosophy professor decided to be super awesome and make class optional, because of our papers being due that night, so I was done earlier than usual. It was amazing!

I was back in my room by 1pm, so I did a little bit of homework for the weekend, and then Gage and I skyped for a little bit. I was able to get my co-authored paper for philosophy done by 4:30, along with my other homework for the weekend, so that was fantabulous! Katy came over to my dorm room to hang out for a couple hours, until the high school game in the dome started. We talked, skyped with Gage for a little bit, and then I drove over to the dome with her. I surprised my youngest sister by showing up to the game to watch her pre-game dance performance.

Kimmy is in the back row, third one in from the right! :)

It was kind of funny, actually, at the game because it was a "Pink Out" for breast cancer awareness month, and I just so happened to be wearing a pink blazer for the day. The dance team, because of the "Pink Out" were wearing pink tank tops, and black leggings, so I looked like proud alum (since I used to be on that dance team) since I was wearing pink and black. lol  It was pretty precious. :)

I was wearing a hot pink FXJC Woman blazer, that I actually bought on eBay (lol), with a black and white checkered Soprano romper, from Von Maur, and black Candie's sandals, from Kohls. I looked so freaking chic, it was ridiculous! :) haha  But really though.
The dance team did amazing! The football team, however, ended up losing, which sucks, but I still managed to have a good time. My parents took me back to my dorm after half-time, and I crawled into bed around 9:30pm, and passed out! I was so tired! I did end up waking up after an hour or so, talked to Gage for a little bit, and then fell back asleep on him...oops. :P  This old lady grandma was tired! lol

Stay fabulous!

Does free time exist?

Day #64

Even though I only had one class, I feel like I was so incredibly busy, running from one thing to the next!

I had class from 9:30-10:45am, and then I went home afterwards to do my crap ton of laundry that I had, eat lunch, and potentially (hopefully) get some homework done! In between all of the stuff I had to do for homework, I was running back and forth from campus to home. Once I went home to get my laundry done, I got a text from Morgan, asking if we could get lunch, so naturally I said yes. I left my house around 12:30pm to go to lunch on campus with her, getting back home around 1:30ish. Then I switched some laundry around and accomplished very little homework, before having to go back to campus at 3:30pm to work on a paper with a classmate. We worked on that for an hour in the union, and then I left there to go to my eye appointment, which was scheduled for 5pm. The eye appointment took FOREVER, and I still had to eat dinner and get my laundry done before I could go back to my dorm for the night before Pride Cry dress rehearsal practice!

After an hour in the doctor's office, I went to Pancheros, to get dinner, and then I went home to finish up my laundry. I ended up staying there until about 8pm, I think, skyping with Gage in my bedroom. I FINALLY got back to my dorm room to quick put my stuff away, change for practice, and make it there on time at 9pm. We went to a studio room in the WRC (Wellness and Recreation Center), so we could have mirror for our dress rehearsal practice, and stayed there until a little before 11pm.

For the day I wore a grey Victoria's Secret PINK v-neck, American Eagle skinny jeans, and my magenta rain boots, from Target. It was rainy and chilly in the morning, so the outfit was perfect! But then Mother Nature decided to make it gross and muggy outside, so I was a little toasty through the afternoon. So that was fun. NOT. -_-
It was a long day, and I could not have been more excited to get into bed!

Stay fabulous,
Korry

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday

Days 61, 62, 63, 64

Monday
So... I've been slacking a little bit :-P My work schedule has been super crazy, and then add on apartment hunting, field experience, homework, hubby & furry animals time, and class, it's just a hot mess of a situation. Monday wasn't anything special. I worked the first of two 12-9:30 closing shifts, and work was just busy, busy, busy as usual. We did get a new girl who is super awesome and gets along with everyone super well, which helps a lot. Nothing really interesting happened at work. I was tired from staying up super late the night before, but that's my own fault. :-P

Monday, I wore a white Forever 21 shirt that has little teal bows printed on it with some super comfy dark wash American Eagle skinnies. It was really cute and comfy :-) I paired some brown no name boots with the outfit that were $12 at Plato's. Aren't they just fabulous?!?!

Here's an upclose picture of my shirt. I bought it from the Forever 21 store a while ago for $9.80, an amazing deal!!

Monday night was just a "zone-out-in-front-of-the-TV-until-early-in-the-morning" kind of night, I won't lie to you. I was so zoned out that I don't even remember what I watched. Not even kidding. I do know that I didn't see my husband at all that day/night. Sad :-/ That's what happens when two people work full time with conflicting shifts...

Tuesday
I worked my second 12-9:30 shift on Tuesday, and I actually had to be the one to close the registers down and what not. It actually went pretty smooth, the closing stuff down part not the actual work day part. Work itself was busy as usual. I so don't understand why it's been so busy lately... Grrr :-P

I wore a colorful outfit on Tuesday that had several Plato's purchases in it. For my top, I went with a brightly-patterned Forever 21 tank top that was $6 at Plato's and a coral Forever 21 cardigan that was also $6 a Plato's. Super duper cute!! I wore the same skinnies from the day before becaus
I love them. And because they weren't dirty :-P Plus, they're comfy and fit me really well, so... Yeah. That's why I wore them 2 days in a row... I also wore my super cute white no name flats that have little cutouts in them because I love them, too :-) Beg were like $6 or $7 at Plato's. Win!!

Look how cute the pattern on this tank top is. Pretty fabulous, right?!?! Right!!

Tuesday night was pretty much a repeat of Monday night, except with a little homework thrown in. Nothing too special or interesting.

Wednesday
I woke up at 6am on Tuesday for my field experience/observation hours. Yay for early mornings... Not :-P I so don't know how I'm going to survive getting up early Monday-Friday when I become a teacher. Yikes!!

Anywho... So I was at the school from 7:15 until about 2:45 or so doing my field experience, and it was actually kind of fun. I was able to participate in the classroom, help out during the science lab part, and do small stuff for the teacher, just like any normal student teacher would do. I loved every minute of it :-) The kids were pretty cool, and the teacher I was with was absolutely awesome. When I have to do my internships at some point, I really hope I can go back to her classroom :-)

For the field experience part of my day, I wore a tan floral-printed Forever 21 shirt (Plato's for $6) with a tan Charlotte Russe camisole underneath, some brown higher-waisted dress pants from Kohls, a white braided belt, and my super cute teal Mossimo flats that have little holes in them. I looked so teacher-y and yet so cute all at the same time. Win!!

After my field experience, I got home, changed, and went to the leasing office at our new apartment complext with my husband to do some paperwork. That took over an hour because we decided to sign our lease early. Not so fun. But now we officially have the apartment, so that's good :-)

When we got home, we ate a quick dinner and then went over to another couple's apartment to hang out and play games. It was pretty fun!! We played a game called "Heads Up" and RockBand, and the wife had made some Nutella/pudding mix Popsicle thingys that were to die for. It was a pretty great day off, if I do say so myself :-)

For the second half of my day, I wore a white Heritage 1981 shirt (Plato's $7) with my golden yellow Banana Republic cardigan ($10) and higher-waisted dark denim BDG shorts (Plato's $8). Cute, casual, and simple. I went with some teal-and-white striped Wet Seal flats to add a pop of color. So cute!!

When we got home (around 11:30 or so), I pretty much went straight to bed while my husband watched random videos on his phone since I was super tired :-P

Thursday
Yesterday wasn't too crazy of a work day for me, surprisingly. I worked a 9-4 opening shift that went pretty smoothly, but I was pretty tired from the previous night. Again, all my fault :-P After work, I had to go home, eat, briefly relax and see my husband and furry creatures, and then leave for class by 5. Traffic sucks super bad, in case anyone was wondering... I got to class by 6, and class itself was actually pretty good. We went over a short lesson, reviewed for the midterm that's next week, and ended up getting out over 1.5 hours early. Yay!! I was actually able to relax with my husband before he had to go to bed!!

For the entire day yesterday, I wore a gray Forever 21 tshirt that has a fashionable cat printed on it (Plato's $5) with a really cute blue Old Navy cardigan (Plato's $6) and my seemingly favorite dark denim American Eagle skinnies that I've had for forever. Really really comfy, but still really really cute :-) I added some yellow-and-white striped Cherokee flats for some more color and to add some fun to the outfit.

Once my husband went to bed, I did some homework and just relaxed while watching tv. A pretty chill end to a pretty chill day :-) But now I have to do today's post, so, yeah... Stay fashionable!! Ciao!!
