Looooooooong Day :-P

Day 31

Let me preface this post by giving a rundown of how I my night went down last night before going into my day today:

I got home from work after a 10.5 hour shift and decided to read my book. I continued to read my book until it was finished, so around 2:45am. After washing my face, taking my contacts out, and brushing my teeth, I climbed into bed at 3am. I tried to sleep for a bit, but ended up pulling out my phone and browsing the web until around 3:30am, or when my husband's alarm went off. My husband got up, got ready, told me goodbye (complete with kisses and "I love you), and left for work by 4am. I didn't get to sleep until 4:15 or 4:20am and was awoken by my alarm at 9:30am, meaning I got about 5 hours of sleep. I had to be ready by 10:30 so my bestie could pick me up, get Starbucks with me, get to work, and clock in by 11 while I still had another hour until I had to clock in for my 9,5 hour day. So long day, not a lot of sleep, and another long day... Not exactly a smart move on my part :-P

Ok so now ya'all know what I had to deal with this morning/today. While work was mostly slow, I was still super tired all day. It was a good day, though, and we were able to stay decently caught up, which is always a good thing :-) My bestie's hubby brought lunch for everybody (from Krystal's), and it was delicious!! AND I bought 9 items (including 3 pairs of shoes, 1 of which was a pair of almost brand new Toms for $20) for $47 after saving $35 by using my bin money ($25) and my discount (20%). Score!! So, yeah... A pretty good day despite my lack of sleep.

My outfit today was super cute, too, which always helps make the day better :-) I wore a white Forever 21 tank top that had an elephant on it that was a $5 Plato's purchase with my golden yellow Banana Republic cardigan ($10 at the outlet) and my dark wash higher-waisted BDG shorts ($8 at Plato's). I was super comfy and felt super cute. Kassy win :-)

I felt like adding some sparkle to my outfit, so I chose my black sparkly Oxford Cherokee flats (girls section from Target for less than $10). I do love these adorable sparkly shoes :-) Every time I look down at my feet, they make me smile cuz they're so sparkly. What can I say? I'm easily amused ;-)

Now, one thing I want to point out before I call it a night and go to bed is how adorable my tank top is. Just a colorful elephant with fun patterns... NBD ;-) I saw a co-worker of mine buy it in one day and knew I just had to have it!! True story.

Alright my fellow fashionistas, this tired lady needs to hit the hay. I'm pooped :-P Have a great night, and until tomorrow... Stay colorful :-) Ciao!!

Hawt date with mah hoodrat frand ♥

Day #31

Day #31 was a good one. I got to hang out with my home girl Jordyn for most of the day and night, and we had a blast! Jordyn used to be in my "Alpha Class" (the group I joined ADPi with), so she knows most of the girls in the sorority and how they act and what not. It's nice when I'm trying to fill her in on what's happening with my life, the sorority edition, because she knows who I'm talking about and understands how things work within ADPi. Anyways, so we caught up on our first week of school and did dumb and "hoodrat" things, like usual. We seriously always have a blast when we're together! We're kinda weird, but that makes things so much better! For example, we always refer to ourselves as hoodrats, and we only do hoodrat things, and we also act and talk like we're in a relationship with each other (even though we both have boyfriends). lol  I love that weirdo. :)

Anyways, I woke up around 8am, without an alarm, and talked to Gage for a while until he went to the beach. I was still pretty upset with him for cancelling our skype date the night before, but I came up with his punishment to make everything better for myself. Lol  I decided that he is forced to watch a chick flick of my choice with me, without complaining or sleeping. I thought it was a pretty generous and fair punishment. :)

Jordyn and I went to the men's rugby game at 2pm, since we have friends on the team, and stayed there until half time. Afterwards she dropped me off at my dorm, where I skyped with Gage until 5:30 when Jordyn and I went dinner in the dining center. After stuffing our faces, we went to my house to grab a movie and back to her apartment to chillax for the night. We ended up watching "What to Expect When You're Expecting," after running to get some snacks at Kwik Star (a gas station/convenience store that I used to work at). On our walk there, we got "cat called" by some idiot college guys in a car, and when we didn't respond or pay any attention to them, they called us effing c's (you know, the "c" word). Yeah. Not okay. The sad thing is that both of us had our hair up in ratchet power buns, wearing shorts and tshirts and baggy jackets. We didn't even look attractive, but yet we got hit on at least five times. Only we would have that happen...lol

We ended up snacking ourselves into food comas while watching the movie (lawlz) and headed to bed once the movie ended. We were asleep by 11:45pm. On a Saturday night. Like really? We're so old and lame. :P haha  It was quite a long and interesting day though!

I wore a Forever21 baby blue chiffon tank top, with khaki Old Navy shorts and my silver Candie's sandals. It was cute, comfy, and lightweight, perfect for being outside in the heat. Before watching the movie at Jordyn's, I changed into a U.S. Navy girlfriend t-shirt and denim shorts, with a PINK U.S. Navy zip-up jacket. I was sporting the "I'm in a relationship with a Navy sailor" look. ;) lol
So yeah. That was my Saturday. Talk to you later, tator! Stay fabulous. :)

Ugh. What a day!

Day #30

So, this morning was rough. Either a) my alarm didn't go off on my phone, or b) I just didn't hear it go off and I continued to sleep through it. Either way, I didn't wake up this morning until 8:57, and I had class at 9, so FML. It's fine. I got to class like six minutes late, and things were just starting to get going. The real sucky part was that I was still half in my pjs, my hair was in a leftover bun from the day before and the night, and I had my glasses on. No makeup or jewelry or anything! The struggle was real!

Anyways, I got back to my dorm around 10, showered, ate lunch and headed to my last two classes for the day. They went well, but I was just ready for it to be the weekend already. :P  After my last class, I went back to my room to change for work and then I headed towards Adrenaline X.

For my first outfit, I wore a red and white patterned tank top, with beading on the top, and some white bermuda shorts. I got both of these items from Target, go figure, with the top being Merona and the bottoms Mossimo Supply Co. I sure love me some Target! :) lol  Then, I wore my white sandals from Rue21, tucked in the top and added a black belt, and curled my hair (to the best of my ability), even though it was too humid to do so. :P

When I changed for work, I put on a navy UNI t-shirt, from UniversiTees, with white and green letters spelling out "Cedar Falls UNI 1876." It's probably one of my favorite UNI shirts, so I was happy to get the chance to wear it. Then I just wore the same shorts and shoes with it!

I was kept busy all night! We had two large groups come in for the pro course and there were a lot of phone calls, as well as a lot of cleaning that had to be done! Baby sissy Katy worked with me though, and so did Cam, so it was a good night, and time seemed to fly by pretty quickly. Yay. :) lol  Since I knew Katy was working with me, I decided it would be funny for us to twin. With it being "Panther Friday," we were able to wear UNI shirts, and we just so happened to have the same UNI shirt. What a coincidence...;) haha  People commented on it all night, and we just played it off like we didn't plan it....:)

I got off work at 10:30pm, said goodbye to sister, and went back to my humid room. Oh goody. :P lol  It rained while we were working so it's actually not as bad as I thought it'd be in my room, with it being cooler outside. Hallelujah!!! I didn't get to do my nightly skyping with Gage though, unfortunately, which is really upsetting. I haven't been able to talk to him much at all today with class and work, so I was really looking forward to talking tonight. He's gone this weekend at a beach house with some friends and they're drinking, so I should have known he'd get to drunk and cancel on me. I had a feeling it would happen...:(  Sad day.

I'm going to get going now. Maybe watch some kind of romance/chick flick movie before bed. Who knows...:P lol  Good night darlings! Stay fabulous. :)

Oopsies :-P

Day 30

So... I kind of forgot to post yesterday... My bad :-P After working a 10.5 hour shift, I really just wanted to put my feet up and relax. I was exhausted. Work itself wasn't too bad, and we weren't all that busy, but it was still a super long shift standing on my feet. That would make anyone tired.

Since I knew my day was going to be a long one, I wanted to wear something that was at least somewhat comfy. I wore an adorable off-white loose shirt that has owls on it, and it was super comfy!! I had bought it at Plato's a while back, but this was my first time wearing it (the brand is one I've never heard of). The fact that it has owls on it automatically makes it awesome since I LOVE owls :-)

I paired some off-white-and-red striped high-waisted shorts with my owl shirt to add some more visual interest, and I think it turned out pretty darn cute :-) These are also from Plato's, just like most of my wardrobe. Just saving money, NBD ;-) I'm not sure what the brand of these shorts are, ether... And of course I don't have them in front of me to check. Go figure. Oh well. The brand isn't important. What is important is that I looked cute :-)

I decided to wear my good 'ole pointy-toed teal Mossimo flats that have the little cutouts. They didn't really match my outfit, but they went with it ok, and that's all that matters in my book :-)

When I got home from work, my kittens were super happy to see me. Arya was laying in this box we had left for Khaleesi to use (she never used it). It was so precious!! I ended up changing into my PJs right away and reading my book for the majority of the night. My kittens even cuddled with me for a little bit. Loved it!!

I actually finished the second Mortal Instruments book at 3am, and it was pretty good :-) I can't wait to pick up the third one, which I'm hoping to do after work tonight. We shall see how tired I am considering I've got a 9.5 hour day today with only 5.5 hours of sleep to go on. It'll be interesting, that's for sure ;-)

One good thing, though, that made me super happy was that Arya didn't have any accidents last night. YAY!! No messes to clean up!! I was so proud of her. She's finally using her litter box like a big girl :-)

Alright my lovelies, I have to finish getting ready for work, but I promise to post today's post before I go to bed tonight. Until then... Stay sassy ;-) Ciao!!

Hello, Day Off and First Day of Class!!

Day 29!!

Hey hey hey!!!! How's it going?!?! For me, it's going pretty darn good :-) I got homework done last night and organized my school stuff for tonight's class, I slept in, I saw my kittens sharing the tower we have by the widow, I shipped my old school books back to Amazon for some gift cards, I picked up some new kitten litter so the little one will stop having accidents around the apartment, I bought the school supplies I needed for class, and I stopped by Plato's to hand in my finished module, pick up a new one, and get next weeks schedule. A pretty productive for a day off if I do say so myself :-) I was also able to schedule my next tattoo appointment (Tuesday at 6:30, and I'm not going to give any hints about what I'm getting), and I got in touch with my advisor to figure out what all I need to do in order to graduate ASAP. Looks like I will graduate in 2015 at the latest... So not too terribly far away.

I had my first in-person class today in almost a year, and it was weird, but in a good way :-) The class is every Thursday night (in St. Pete) from 6pm-8:55. Surprisingly, the class is actually kind of fun and goes by pretty fast. So far, I like it. I'm still not sure if teaching is 100% what I want to do, but at least I'm trying something :-P The thing that's really going to suck with my classes I'm taking (the in-person and 4 on-line) is that most of them require a specific number of observation, volunteering, and/or field experience hours, and with my work schedule and the whole only-one-car thing, I'm not entirely sure how that's all going to work out. I guess we'll find out as the semester progresses.

So, my outfit today was pretty stinking cute, if I do say so myself :-) What it didn't have in color it made up for in patterns and detailing. I wore a fitted black H&M top that has see-through lace on the upper part, which I bought for a whole $5 in the actual H&M store. SCORE!! I paired this top with my off-white-and-black tribal patterned American Eagle shorts that I definitely spent too much on when I purchased them :-P I had bought them back in my home town for like $20. Not a great deal, but I've had them for forever, I wear them a lot, and they're still in really great condition, so I guess I could make the argument that they've already paid for themselves?? Yeah, let's go with that ;-)

This outfit made me feel really confident in how my body looks since the top is slimming (duh, it's black), and the shorts make my butt look cute, which is always a must!! It was also super duper comfy, and that's never a bad thing... ever. So yay for my awesome, multi-functioning outfit :-)

I wore my mint green Forever 21 sandals once again to add some color to this black-and-white ensemble. If I hadn't worn them, I feel like the outfit would've been too dark or something. IDK. I just need color sometimes. NBD ;-) Now, as much as I love wearing sandals... they do make me realize just how badly I need to get a pedicure again. Seriously. The nail polish is chipped kinda badly, and it's sad to look at. I most definitely need to get on that, like ASAP!! I'll have to see if my bestie has a day off with me sometime so we can have a much needed Girls Day :-)

Since my class got out a little late (and since I had to drive 30 minutes to get home), my hubby was already in bed by the time I got back. No Kassy-Adam time tonight... Oh well. We did run errands together today, and we did get to spend just under 2 hours together before class, so I guess that kind of counts as Kassy-Adam time. Maybe ;-) I won't get to see him much the next 2 days, either, because I'm working 11-9:30 tomorrow and 12-9:30 on Saturday. Sunday will be a little bit better since I'll be off by 7:30, but still... I really enjoy having Kassy-Adam time since it doesn't happen very often. BUT it's important to note that we BOTH have Monday off, so we get to spend the WHOLE DAY TOGETHER!! YAY!!

I do want to note that little Arya is VERY interested in my post. She keeps trying to walk on the keyboard of my laptop and paw the screen. Silly Arya :-P I've just been holding her in my arms, which she seems to enjoy quite a bit if her constant and rather loud purring is any indication of that ;-) I felt it was necessary to include a picture of her cuddling because it's just so stinking adorable!! I mean, look at that face. It's precious <3

Some good news is that my kittens finally seem to be getting along. At least, Khaleesi has been letting Arya sleep in the more enclosed part of her tower while she sleeps on the very top part. They've also been eating next to each other on a more regular basis without any problems, and, to top it off, they're playing/running around/pawing at each other, which makes me a very happy mommy :-) I just knew they'd be best friends some day, and it seems like they are on the right track. YAY!!

All right, my lovelies, it's time for this girl to start reading her new book (the second Mortal Instruments) since my hubby surprised me with it yesterday (super sweet, right??). It's supposedly really good, so that makes me excited to start it :-) I'll let ya'all know what I think of the series as I get into it more, no worries ;-) I'm going to go start reading my book and eventually, at some point, head to bed. Until tomorrow... Stay classy ;-) Ciao!!

Chilling in a sauna!

Day #29

My dorm room LITERALLY feels like a sauna! It is so stinkin' hot! (and not just because I'm in it ;))  It got so bad yesterday/last night that I only got maybe 5 1/2 hours of sleep, because I couldn't get comfortable in the stickiness of my room. :(  I was able to get enough sleep though, I guess, to wake up on time at 7:30 and start getting ready for the day! I guess that's a positive. :P  Oh! And another positive is that my Theatre class this morning went AMAZINGLY WELL!!! I love my professor and I think she's going to make this semester interesting and lots of fun! :)

I wanted to look somewhat cute today, all while staying cool in light layers, so I cracked out my teal tribal-like pattern crop top from American Eagle. With it I wore Vanilla Star brand bright light pink shorts, from Kohls, and then for shoes I went with my silver Candie's sandals. Even though I straightened my hair, it did not last all day. It was so humid and sticky and gross outside that my hair got kinda frizzy and started to curl/wave, so I ended up throwing it up in a bun, as well as changing my whole outfit to match.

My attempt of looking cute. Ugh.
Me dying of heat. Merh.
My second ensemble consisted of a Victoria's Secret PINK blue razor back tank top, Arizona brand side mesh green and blue active running shorts, from JCPenney's, and black flip flops. Putting on this new outfit was a brilliant idea! I'm so much cooler with these light layers on, not to mention comfier as well!

To get my room a little cooler, I decided to utilize my doorstop and prop my door open to get the air circulating. Then, I turned off the main lights in my room and used natural sunlight and my desk lamp, in hopes of cooling my room down. It's working a little bit, but it's still hotter than hot in my dorm! :(  I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it cools down outside this weekend!!!
I ended up going home for a few hours after I got out of class to relax in air conditioning, helping me to focus and get my homework done. Being in AC actually helped me buckle down and get work done tremendously! (Thank God!)  I got my Earth and Space Science homework done that's due tomorrow, so all I have left to do is my Theatre (which I have all weekend to get done) and my Humanities 3 class assignments to finish up. Yay! :)  After I got my science work done, I socialized with my mom, sisters, and the daycare kiddos, all while skyping my handsome boyfriend. :)

In a little bit I have to head out for a formal recruitment practice at the ADPi house. Yuck. I'm too worn out for this, but at least the house has AC! ;) lol  The plan is to run through things quickly, so hopefully it'll take less than an hour to get it all done! *fingers crossed*  I need to get going, so this is goodbye! Have a lovely night, and remember to stay fabulous! :)

Just More Work...

Day 28!!

Hey all!! I most definitely managed to sleep in today even though I had to work at 2. Love it!! However, having up close kind of sucked a wee bit. Luckily, even though we were busy at first, it was slow enough in the end that we ended up getting out like 15 minutes early. Winner!!

My outfit today was pretty cute, if I do say so myself :-) I wore a teal-and-white patterned slightly-cropped Charlotte Russe shirt that had gold buttons up the front with my favorite super dark wash Express skinny jeans. I felt pretty darn cute in this outfit, which is super important :-)

My shirt had an tribal-ish pattern on it, which made sort of fun, and the buttons (that don't actually work) added some POP as well. I got this shirt for like $10 or so. Not too shabby. Not as great as Plato's prices, but still not too shabby :-)

One thing I wanted to point out about my skinny jeans is how the seam goes down the side. It curves toward the front, which I think makes my legs look long and lean. I LOVE these jeans so much!! I got them for $12 at Plato's, and they're super comfy while still being fashionable and flattering. Most definitely a Kassy win :-)

My shoes today were super adorable as well. They're a brand called Addiction, which I feel is fitting since I'm addicted to gladiator sandals :-P These fabulous brown lace-up gladiators were $7 at Plato's. Another Kassy win!!

Work today wasn't too bad. We were busy when I first got there, and I was fully prepared for it to stay busy and for us to fall behind since there were only 5 total people working today with 3 closing, but it actually slowed down enough for is to catch back up and get out early. YAY!!

Now, I'm watching The Mummy Returns with little Arya curled up on my lap. Absolutely precious <3 I do have the day off tomorrow, so I can catch up on homework and get ready for the one in-person class I have this semester in St. Pete (Thursdays 6pm-8:50). Not exactly looking forward to having classes again... Oh well. Have to get 'er done at some point, right? Right. This girl is going to spend some quality time with her babies, so until tomorrow... Stay fabulous, my fellow fashionistas :-) Ciao!!

-Kassy

Busy as a bee!

Day #28

Here's how my day has gone so far today:
  1. Woke up at 6:30am
  2. Left for class 7:45am
  3. Earth & Space Science class 8-9:50am
  4. Lunch with Lauren 11:15am
  5. Humanities 3 12-12:50pm
  6. Philosophy 1-1:50pm
  7. Copyworks 2:05-2:10pm
  8. Left for work 2:15pm
  9. Got to work 2:30pm
  10. Group came in 4-5:30pm
I'M TIRED. (that's an understatement actually)

The group that came in at 4 are regulars, so I didn't have to give rules, which is nice, but they basically reffed themselves, leaving me bored and I eventually ran out of new games for us to play since I didn't have to take the extra time to explain each game. I was so bored! I'm working with Nick, who usually does the reffing, but he was given tasks from my boss to do all night, leaving me to ref and run the front of the store all at the same time. Great. We have built to new rooms in our smaller recruit course, so Nick was making some finishing touches that literally took all night. Like, it's after 7pm, and he's still working on it- he started at 3pm.

I'm hoping no one else comes in within the next hour because a) I'm tired and lazy and don't want to ref, b) I want to get some homework done, and c) I want to be able to leave early at 8:45. I'm such a great employee. Top notch really! ;)

I'm planning on doing homework for the rest of the night, after I get the cleaning done around the store, and then going to bed decently early, depending on how long Gage and I skype. Speaking of skyping and Gage, I didn't get to skype with him last night. :(  I was drafting my fantasy football team for a while last night, so I didn't get out of the store until about 9:30 or so. Gage actually drafted for Katy, Jessi, and I's team, but no one knows it except the three of us, so shush. ;) lol  I get to talk with him for a little bit after work, so I'm excited. Something to look forward to! :) haha

So my outfit today was just grand...lol NOT. I threw on a t-shirt and shorts and called it good. My shirt is a grey tee from when I ran the Mud Run in Des Moines with my family in the beginning of the summer, and my shorts are my black Champion athletic shorts. Then, I topped off my outfit with black flip flops. Whoo! :P haha  I did take the time to put my hair in a nice bun, though, and I made my makeup look decent, so that makes up for my dreadful outfit, right? :)  So yeah, that's it...

I better get to back to work, I suppose. Have a great Wednesday night! Stay fabulous. :)

It's All Just a LOT of Work

Day 27!!

Hello my fellow fashionistas!! This girl had a really long day today, or a day that felt really long. I worked 9:45-6, came home, ate dinner, did homework, discovered I'm only 58% complete with my degree even though I'm a senior and would've been graduating at the end of this school year had I not transferred/changed majors, and sulked about having to be in school for the rest of my life. It's not a very fun time for me right now... I hate school. Seriously. I'm honestly considering a Bachelor of General Studies degree since I'm 80% complete with that degree. If I knew exactly what my career field would be with that degree, I'd be all over it because I really don't know if being a teacher is what I really want out of my life. IDK.

So, onto the important stuff: my outfit :-P I went super simple today with a plain black racerback Xhilaration tank top and some light pink cropped Jennifer Lopez pants. It was comfy, easy, and casual for opening the store this morning. It also showcased my tattoo, and with my hair pulled up in an OK-looking bun, my tattoo really shined through (sorry there isn't a picture of my tattoo or my hair... when I got home from work, I just wasn't feeling a full out photo shoot :-P)

I added some interest with my shoes by wearing my coral-and-light-pink floral pointy-toed Old Navy flats. The lighting in the picture kind of distorts the color a wee bit, making it look like these adorable shoes don't match my outfit. No worries, they really do match, I promise :-)

Work today was slow and busy at the same time. Our sales were low, but we did a good deal of buys, yet that wasn't what made us busy. We are in the process of doing 50% off markdowns in different sections of the store, and it all has to be done by hand before Friday. Yesterday, we had two girls doing Men's t-shirts, Women's short-sleeves, and something else, and that was all they did for their shifts, leaving us five other people to get tasks done, ring people up, do buys, straighten, etc. Today, though, we had five total people scheduled, and we all had to some how manage to mark down Women's t-shirts (the assistant store manager and I knocked that out by like 1) and Women's tank and halter tops. When I left, we still had to sort about half of an aisle of tanks and physically mark down over 3/4 of the soon-to-be clearance tanks. It wasn't too bad, but it still kept us busy as it was separate from our daily tasks. All that's left to mark down is dresses, I believe, so we are actually doing pretty well so far :-)

Regardless of how busy or slow my day was today, I'm still super tired and want to relax before hitting the hay. Ya'all have a great rest of the night, mmk? Until tomorrow... Stay classy, my lovelies :-) Ciao!!

-Kassy

Heat strokes.

Day #27

It is so hot and humid outside, it's ridiculous!!! Living in the dorms, I don't have air conditioning, so you can only imagine how horrid it is in my room. I have two fans running on high 24/7 and I'm still sweating like crazy! I can't believe I'm saying this, but I can't wait for it to get cold outside! :P

Today was the first day of my Tuesday/Thursday class. It went pretty, and I think I'm really going to enjoy my Theatre class! It starts at 9:30, which isn't bad at all, and gets over at 10:45, so the class is kind of lengthy. But it's only two days a week, so I guess I can't really complain!

I felt like looking cute today, but with it being so hot, I wanted to wear light layers, meaning a dress would have to do. I wore a new Forever21 black and white tribal print maxi dress. It's super fun and light-weight, making it absolutely perfect for a scorching hot day like today! With it, I wore black Candie's gladiator sandals, from Kohls, and I threw on a few black bangle bracelets as well. I decided to curl my hair, but I knew the curls wouldn't last in the heat, so I threw my hair up into a sleek, curly ponytail, and jazzed the look up with some cute black dangle earrings. I'm looking boss today. ;) lol

I only had one class today, so I've really just been relaxing, watching TV and doing homework, since I got done at 10:45. I did, however, go to lunch with my friend, and sister, Lauren. We just went to the dining center to eat, which was fine. I ended up getting a pasta with alfredo sauce, fruit cocktail and lemonade. Delish. :)

After getting my homework all done, I watched some Bravo and did absolutely nothing! It was beautiful. :)  Once Brea and Anna got out of class at 1:45pm, the three of us plus Morgan went to Panchero's $1 burrito day. Can you believe it? ONE DOLLAR BURRITOS!!! :)  I'm all about that life. lol  It started at 2, ending at 4, so we got there a little after 2 and waited in line for about thirty minutes. It wouldn't have been such a bad wait, but it is dreadful outside, so that sucked. The burrito was well worth the wait though! I only ate half of it, since I wasn't all that hungry, and saved the rest of it for later. Then, to top off my burrito only costing a dollar, I got a free fitted tee! What what! :) haha  It's not the cutest shirt ever, but who cares. It was free. :)

I just got back from Panch a little while ago, so now I'm just trying to cool off and enjoy watching "Below Deck," a yachting show on Bravo. I don't have anything else going on for the rest of the afternoon, but I do have a work meeting at 6:30. It's just an hour long meeting, and then afterwards we're drafting for our work fantasy football teams. :P lol  I have no idea how or who to draft, so it's a good thing I'm on a team of 3 (with Katy and her best friend, Jessi) and Gage has already offered to help. haha  Wish me luck! ;)

That's my day in a nutshell! Have a wonderful and COOL night (unlike me), and remember to stay fabulous! :)

Western Vibes :-)

Day 26!!

Howdy ya'all!! I would just like to point out that my new kitten is so adorable and already loves her mamma so much!! I woke up at 10 this morning, and she was so happy to see me <3 I fed my babies and then napped on the couch for another 2 hours. It was a great morning :-) I wasn't exactly looking forward to working 2-9:30, but 7.5 hours isn't too bad, so I forced myself to be positive about it.

I went with a western vibe today for no apparent reason. I work an off-white, floral-ish Forever 21 slightly see-through shirt with a dark tan Charlotte Russe camisole underneath. I wanted to add a pop of color, so I wore my dark blue/green Mossimo skinny jeans that are super cute and super comfy. I had to wear a belt with them since they're slightly too big, so I grabbed my brown braided belt to go along with the color scheme of my outfit :-)

Now here's where my outfit was awesome: my boots!! I bought these fabulous brown cowgirl boots at Plato's a week ago for $12, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE them!! Soooooooo awesome, it's ridiculous ;-) I have no idea what the brand/label is, but it's no biggie. I still love them anyways.

Work today was non-stop busy, and we only had 5 people working the entire day. That's definitely not enough. Luckily, though, we were only 7 minutes late getting out tonight. I though we would've definitely been there much later than that. Not complaining about how it turned out, no sir no sir :-)

I got home from work to see little Arya curled up on my hubby's lap. It was super precious. Apparently she was cuddly the entire time I was at work. I ate some cereal, and Arya thought she should have some too and kept trying to put her face and/or paws in my bowl. Silly kitten :-P When I got done eating, the hubby and I played with her for a while (we tried to get Khaleesi to join us, but she was too busy doing her kitten pout). I love playing with my babies :-)

It's getting late, though, and this girl has to be at work by 9:45 :-/ Definitely need to get some sleep... Quick side note: might be getting another tattoo tomorrow!! I will keep ya'all posted!! Anyways... I need to catch some Zs, so until tomorrow... Stay fabulous, my fellow fashionistas :-) Ciao!!

Back to school again!

Day #26
Typical backpack/first day of school picture :)

I woke up this morning, at 6:30, and INSTANTLY thought of "Grease 2," when they sing the song, "Back to School Again!" For those of you who have no idea what I'm talking about, or if you just love these songs, I uploaded the video below! You're welcome. ;) (you should definitely check it out!)

So, yeah. I woke up at 6am, showered, got dressed, yada yada. I left my dorm room at 7:35 to head all the way across campus, out in timbuktu, to Inquiry into Earth and Space Science. I sat in a class of basically all girls, with only two boys, and all some sort of education majors. My professor is SUPER weird and nerdy, and not to mention awkward! He's a bigger guy, he's short, and he was wearing tall socks, so yeah...I tried getting a picture but it was an epic fail. No worries, though. I'll make another attempt on Wednesday! :) lol  After almost two hours, I was ready to be done!

Since today is the very first day of the school year, I chose to sport my letters! I wore my favorite letters, which are a brown and pink floral pattern, on a light pink baby v-neck. With it, I wore dark red/burgundy frayed shorts from American Eagle, and my silver Candie's sandals. I chose to look nice without dressing up! :)
Close-up of letters :)

I have a break from 9:50am-12pm, so I'm just relaxing in my room right now, watching some Bravo. I ate an early lunch, since I was starving, and got some cleaning done that I didn't have time for this morning. For lunch, I used my handy dandy quesadilla maker, and made plain quesadillas, which I dipped in salsa. YUM! :)

I have two classes left today: Humanities 3 and Philosophy. Blah. :P  BUT, after class I'm going to lunch with my dad in the Union, since he's on campus for the afternoon working, so yay! :) haha  We're doing a late lunch at 2pm, hence my early lunch to get me through the next couple of hours.

I'm probably just going to relax afterwards, watch a little TV, do some homework...You know, the usual. :P lol  I probably won't get back on for the rest of the day, so have a lovely Monday, and remember to stay fabulous! :)

Day 25!!!

Day #25

Nothing too exciting happened today...I woke up around 9:30ish this morning and went to brunch with Brea, Anna, Morgan, Nathan and Mic (Nathan and Mic are Anna and Brea's friends from high school). The food was okay. I had Apple Jacks, some pineapple and apple juice. YUM. :) haha

I went back to my room and took a shower to get ready for the day. Since I worked tonight, I just put on my work clothes. I chose the green shirt, but paired it with white Mossimo denim bermuda shorts, from Target, and black flip flops. I threw my hair up in a pony tail and put a small amount of makeup on and called it good. Nothing too exciting, but I'm okay with that! lol

After I got ready for the day, I skyped with Gage. I knew we wouldn't have time to skype after I got off work so it made sense for us to do it this afternoon. We skyped for a couple hours, and then I went to get some food at our market, called 23rd Street Market (or 23rd Street). It's right next to my dorm, which is super handy, and they have lots of good foods and stuffs! :) haha  I ended up getting a bacon, lettuce, tomato, and mayo sandwich (delicious, btdubs!), lemonade, and some Cheese Fix Munchies. YUMMMM! :)
Look at the cute baby meow meow! :)

I worked from 5-8:45pm, and it was so slow and dead! Merh. It's whatever now though. :P  I'm home and skyping with my sissy (Kassy), checking out my new baby meow meow! It's actually Kassy's kitty, but I've adopted her. :) lol

I'm gonna go to bed here in a little bit, so this is all for the night! Good night lovelies! Stay fabulous. :)

NEW KITTEN TIME!!!!

Day 25!!

Hiya!!!! So... this girl and her husband now have a new addition to their little family... NOT A BABY [human], but a little baby kitten ;-) We picked up our little girl, named Arya, at 4:30 this afternoon, and she is so freaking adorable, it's ridiculous!!!! That was the most interesting part of my day, though, since I did sleep in until like 12 or so. NBD. When I did finally get up, I cleaned out my bunny's cage, swept the kitchen, and then laid down on the couch to watch How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days. It was wonderful :-) And right afterwards, I got to watch Fool's Gold. LOVE IT!! A pretty relaxing morning, if I do say so myself.

Today, since I did lounge around a lot, I went for super comfy with my printed maxi skirt I bought off of Amazon.com (absolutely no idea what the brand is :-P). It's stupid comfy. I paired it with my plain black OP v-neck fitted t-shirt, which is also stupid comfy. It's a great outfit for being comfy around the house (or apartment) or for running errands. I went with my black Traffic pointy-toed flats to stay with the whole comfy theme. And let me say... it really was a comfy outfit day :-)

So, my husband got home from work around 1:15, I showered at like 2:30, was completely ready to go by like 3:15, and the husband and I went to Pet Supermarket to pick up some goodies for the new kitten. By the time we got home, it was 4 or so, and we had 30 minutes to waste before we could go get our little girl. That 30 minutes went by so stinking slow. No joke :-P

We picked up our little Arya, brought her home, and have fallen even more in love with her little self. She is so sweet and so adorable that she could melt even the toughest of hearts. Khaleesi, our first kitten, isn't very fond of little Arya yet, but I think it's just because she's never been around another cat before. Arya, however, doesn't seem very scared of Khaleesi or her new home. She has let Adam and I both pet her, hold her, and love her without any problems whatsoever. I just know that Khaleesi will warm up to this adorable little girl in no time. Well... I definitely hope so :-P Can't have my little girls fighting all the time, now can I?! No, I can't.

Right now, my little Arya is dozing on my feet. Literally. She's laying on my feet, purring/sleeping. It's so stinking precious!! Khaleesi, however, is sleeping up on her little tower and wants nothing to do with Arya, my husband, or myself. Oh well. She'll get used to the newness soon enough :-)

So... the VMAs is on... and calling my name :-P I'm going to cuddle with my little Arya while watching the VMAs and enjoying a Mike's Strawberry Lemonade (which is delicious, BTW). Have a fabulous night, my fellow fashionistas, and don't stay up too late watching the VMAs ;-) Until tomorrow... Stay fashionable :-) Ciao!!

Harry Potter Inspired :-)

Day 24!!

Hey, my lovelies!! Today wasn't anything too special since I had to work 12-9:30. I took my hubby to work at 4 this morning, and afterwards I made a Walmart run to pick up a few things, so I didn't get back home and into bed until 5. Yikes!! Let's just say I was incredibly tired all day today :-P Work was long and busy today, but I luckily got out on time as opposed to getting out 20 minutes late last night.

Today, I wanted to wear my new Harry Potter Deathly Hallows t-shirt I had gotten from Hot Topic the other day. It's so awesome!! I paired it with my good ole golden yellow Banana Republic cardigan. I wear it a lot, but that's because I love it a lot. And besides, I had to wear golden yellow to represent Gryffindor, duh ;-)

I paired some awesome white lace shorts that I had bought from Plato's last week. I don't recognize the label/brand, but that doesn't matter. They're still cute, and I only paid $6 for them :-)

I never showed the detailing on my cardigan before, so I figured now was the perfect opportunity to do so :-) Isn't it just super cute?!?! I think so!!

I chose to wear my Cherokee black studded gladiator sandals today to add some more interest to my mostly black-and-white outfit. They kind of started to hurt my feet after a while, which isn't good, but I get to put my feet up now, so it's all good :-)

I was taking pictures of my outfit (I didn't have it on cuz I kind of may have changed into my pjs immediately when I got home :-P), and my kitten kept posing like I was taking pictures of her. So I thought it would be fitting to actually take a picture of her while she was being so adorable. And, naturally, I just had to share the adorableness with ya'all ;-)

Now, though, this girl is going to bed. I am so pooped :-P Goodnight, my lovelies. Until tomorrow.. Stay fabulous :-) Ciao!!

MOVE-IN DAYYYY!

Day #24

I had the lovely pleasure of moving into the dorms today. It sucked. And I did it all on my own.

I woke up, WITHOUT AN ALARM CLOCK, by 9am and started packing all my crap up that I needed for my dorm. That took me a couple hours. Then I ate lunch, loaded up my car, and headed to my dorm. After convincing Brea,  Anna and Morgan to help me and after sweating my butt off, I got all of my crap piled into my room. It was so hot and humid outside and especially in my room! I plugged my fan in ASAP and attempted to cool my room down a little bit (it didn't work very well). Since I knew I was gonna get all nasty, hot and sweaty moving, I didn't bother showering or paying any attention to my hair and makeup. :P

I stuck with a power bun and a v-neck and Soffe shorts. My v-neck is white and from Victoria's Secret, the PINK collection, and my shorts are a light blue with Panama City Beach written in white across the butt. I don't know what the brand is, but I got them a few years back when I went to PCB one summer on a church trip. Since I needed good walking shoes, that are durable, I wore my Nike running shoes with the outfit.

After HOURS of unpacking and rearranging my room, I took a shower, and began to get ready for the night's festivities! I was invited, along with my other ADPi sisters, to a sister's house to "hang out" (aka drink). ;) haha  Since it was the first weekend of being back at school, it a was almost necessary for me to go out with all my friends! Lol  Brea, Anna, Morgan, Anna's friend Nathan and I all went to dinner at the dining center, after we all showered. I had my first ever Philly cheesesteak, which was actually really good, some tater tots, and green beans. It wasn't too shabby of a meal for it being dining center food. :P
After dinner, I headed back to my room to finish getting ready. I just had to do my hair and make-up and then Brea and I could begin our fun for the night...*wink wink* lol  I wore one of my brand new dresses that I got from Forever21 (naturally) with my Rue21 white sandals. My dress is dark navy peplum with white polka dots, a lime green belt and collar, and a cut out in the back. I referred to it as my "business/classy in the front, party in the back" dress. :) lol  It was a big hit! Because it was so hot ouside, I straightened my hair, poofed my bangs, and put it up in a pony tail. It was simple, but cute all at the same time! :)

I stayed out until about 10:30pm, after getting pretty intoxicated (lawlz), and skyped with Gage once I got back to my dorm. The skype date was pretty interesting, to say the least. :P haha

My night was really great and I wouldn't have changed a thing about it! That's all she wrote! Stay fabulous. :)
