Day #129

Day #129

HAPPY FRIDAY FRIENDS! :)

Today was such a long day! I've been up since 8am, and I spent my whole day running all over the place, going from one side of campus to the other. It's exhausting!

After I got done with classes, at 3, I met up with some sisters to deliver bids to our three new girls that we have offered to join Alpha Delta Pi. It was really exciting! :)

Later that night, I went and got new glasses, which are Ray-Bans, ate Pancheros with my two younger sisters and my mom, and then I headed over to my friend Alissa's for a game night. It was a blast! I was there for a couple hours until Gage got back from his brotherhood event, and then I hung out with him.

I was a little sloppy in my appearance for the first part of the day, but I promise I upgraded my look before the events of the night! :) lol  I'm not going to bother boring you with my ratchet outfit, just know that it's bad, but here's my new pair of cute glasses!

So fetch. ;)
Night! :)

More Rain :-/

Day 129

Hey!! We definitely had yet another rainy day today, and it happened to be a day off for both Adam and I, again. Why I can't I get a day off that's nice and sunny so I can go lay out? I mean, I'm pale, OK? Like I need to tan. And since I live in Florida, I feel like it would be kind of ridiculous for me to go to a tanning salon since it's supposed to be warm and sunny year round. Just give me one nice and sunny day off, OK, and I promise I won't waste it by sleeping in late. I promise.

Adam got up around 9:30 or so to take our Focus to the dealership to get it's air control panel looked at since two of the dials have gotten permanently stuck to the point where they knobs have been broken up in the process of being turned. We had an appointment at 10:30, so Adam went to see what they would say.

I ended up getting up around 10:45 to shower quick and get ready in case I had to pick Adam up. Turns out, as I was going to pick him up, he was actually able to take the Focus back home. Apparently the parts won't be in until next week, and it'll cost like $315. Not too shabby. So, I had to turn around and go back home, and I figured "Hey, I'm already out and about. I might as well go get some Starbucks" which is what I did. I got a Venti White Chocolate Peppermint Mocha, a blueberry muffin, and some mandarins (these little buttery cake things ). YUM!!

After I got home, I started working on catching up on the blog while Adam played his game. We ended up deciding to go to a 4pm showing of The Lone Survivor, and even though the movie was really good, it just wasn't my thing. I know it's based on a true story and all that, but I just didn't enjoy it very much. Oh well. It happens.

For this rainy day, I wore a denim-like button-up Mossimo shirt that has a cute floral pattern on it ($3 at Plato's) over a plain navy camisole. Then, to add some more color, I added my teal BKE infinity scarf ($10 after discount). For jeans, I went with my go-to pair of holey cropped American Eagle skinny jeans ($25 on sale). Really, really cute, right?! But yet still totally comfy and appropriate for a rainy, relaxing day off.

Similar Buckle infinity scarf

I love this scarf so much!! It was the first scarf I bought from Buckle, and it is most definitely my favorite one out of the ones I've bought since then. I also love the floral pattern on my shirt. So cute!!

Similar Mossimo button-front shirt
For shoes, I went with a pair of gray Not Rated boots (about $45 after discount), and just because I felt like it, I added my off-white boot socks. Love the result!!

So, I mentioned that I got my hair colored yesterday, and I thought I'd go ahead and show off how pretty it looks now. And since I don't really like selfies, don't get used to seeing many of them, OK?

Red hair :-)
As I was trying to take a picture of my hair, Arya kept getting in the way of my camera, so I figured maybe she wanted to take a selfie, too. The result is pretty stinking cute :-)

Arya wanted a "selfie" too :-P
And since I added a picture of Ayra, I figured I should probably include Khaleesi, too, so she doesn't feel left out :-P

And Khaleesi was sleeping on her tower, ALL day :-P
For dinner, Adam and I just ate some leftovers. I had the little bit of dinner I brought home from the restaurant last night and a side of smashed potatoes. It ended up being a rather large amount of carbs since my leftover dinner was chicken penne, but it was also really yummy, so I don't regret that decision on bit :-) Adam just had eggs and toast. Fun stuff ;-) After dinner, Adam and I sat down to watch The Breakfast Club since it was on VH1. It's still on, and I kind of want to enjoy this relaxation time with Adam, so I'm going to call it a night, mmk? Until the next time... Stay fabulous my lovelies!! Ciao!!

Rainy Day Off

Day 128

Hi!! I HAD ANOTHER DAY OFF!! YAY!! However, it was another rainy day, so no laying out for this girl. Adam also had the day off, so we ended up spending a lot of time together :-) We slept in until like noon, showered, and got ready to go to Jersey Mike's for lunch. That place is SO delicious!! I always get a Grilled Pastrami Reuben, and it makes my tummy really, really happy!!

After lunch, Adam and I made a PetSmart run to get some food for our kittens since they ran out. Then on the way home, we stopped by this place called Empower Boxing so I could check out what their memberships and classes are like. It's definitely something I'm interested in, for sure. Homegirl needs to get back into shape :-P

Once we stopped back home, fed the kittens, and relaxed for a bit, Adam and I headed on over to the International Plaza Mall since where we wanted to go for dinner is by it. I ended up getting my hair cut and colored, which really, really, really needed to happen. I love getting my hair done. It makes me feel like a million bucks :-) Now worries, I didn't go to some ritzy salon. I went to MasterCuts where the girl who normally does my hair is. She always does a good job.

For this rainy day off, I kind of wore a similar outfit to the one I wore yesterday. I went with a loose-fitting Forever graphic shirt ($6 from Plato's) under my fabulous golden yellow BKE pleather jacket (about $42 after discount) with an off-white BKE infinity sweater scarf ($10 after discount). Yeah, like I said... it's super similar to what I wore yesterday. But I swear, it IS a different outfit :-P I wore my basic dark wash American Eagle skinny jeans ($35) since they're comfy.

See how cute (and different from yesterday's shirt) this top is?! LOVE IT :-)

I then added my beautiful grayish-tan Aldo boots. I love them so much!! Adam did such an amazing job when he got them for me for our one year wedding anniversary!! I'm so lucky :-)

My beautiful Aldo boots :-)
After I got my hair all pretty, we went to this place called Kona Grill for dinner, and it was REALLY yummy (and not too expensive, either)!! YUM!! When we got home from dinner, Adam and I watched The Way Way Back, which was a really good movie :-) So, basically... We had a date night, which I'm always in the mood for :-)

The rest of the night was spent relaxing with each other until we finally went to bed. We were just that tired I guess :-P Now, I have like one more post to catch up on, so I'm going to go do that now, mmk?? Mmk. So, until I finish that one... Stay fabulous my fellow fashionistas!! Ciao!!

Day #128

Day #128

Mother Nature is seriously so bipolar! When I woke up this morning, around 7:30, it was beautiful outside! It wasn't windy, or cold, and the sun was out. When I went to class less than two hours later, it was nasty outside! Blizzarding and everything. :(  Not okay.

And of course Tuesdays and Thursdays are the days that I have to walk the furthest for classes. Like really though, go figure. :P

I have another recruitment event tonight, which I'm excited for, and then I'm not sure what I'm going to do fo the rest of the night. Probably just relax. I've been super sore all day from Zumba last night, and I'm real tired from doing homework and staying at a computer for hours and hours and hours. :P

I have to get ready for recruitment here in a little bit so this is all you're going to get from me today. Sorry!

Here's what I wore!

Classes, Again

Day 127

Hey!! Guess who had more classes today?! This girl, that's who. Except, well... I kind of didn't go to my first class. I was having a serious acid reflux attack this morning and ended up deciding to go ahead and sleep through my first class. My teacher (the super cool one) doesn't really take attendance, and if you miss class for whatever reason, you're grade won't go down because of it. So, yeah... I just slept through it :-P

My other two classes were OK. Nothing exciting happened, once again. True story. My school happenings are pretty unmemorable. It did rain, again, if that's surprising at all given that it is Florida. Gotta love walking to class in the rain. It's for sure the best ;-)

For class today, I wore a no name graphic tee that says "Welcome to the Good Life" (Plato's for $6) under my golden yellow Banana Republic cardigan ($20 at an outlet mall) with an off-white BKE infinity sweater scarf and my go-to pair of cropped holey American Eagle skinnies ($25 on sale). I actually really liked this outfit :-)

I really like this shirt, but I have no idea what brand it is or where it was sold. Go figure, huh?!

Then, to add some awesomeness to my outfit, I cuffed my jeans and threw on a caramel brown pair of Breckelles combat boots that I got from Plato's for like $12. LOVE THEM!! I literally have like three different pairs of combat boots curtesy of Plato's. Yeah, I might have a boot problem :-P

And again, I wore my BKE chevron watch that I got for like $18 after my discount. It's so cute!!

After class, I came home, did some homework, and went to bed. I was just so tired :-P True story. And now, I have to finish a few more posts, so until I finish the next one... Stay fierce my lovelies!! Ciao!!

Ugh. The struggle is so real right now.

Day #127

I had to be in class at 7:45 this morning, to get help on a lab for my science class. It was SUCH A STRUGGLE to get up and moving for class. Ugh. :P

I made it, though, so no worries, and I'm still kicking right now. ;) lol  I got through my day- somehow- after chugging two refreshers throughout the day. THEY WERE SO NEEDED. And then I ended my night with Zumba class, which I am dying from as we speak.

We did abs, arms, legs, EVERYTHING! I'm so dead. And my butt hurts. :P lol  But really though.

Anyways, here's my gross outfit that I threw together. :P

So... I Was Supposed to Work... :-P

Day 126

Hey!! So, I finished the fourth book in my Bloodlines series last night. The ending was SO good, but the big cliffhanger at the very end is driving me crazy. I just want to know what happens next, but the fifth book won't be out until July. Sucks, right?!

Today was supposed to be a work day, but around 12:30pm or so, I got a call from my manager saying that the store had been super slow all day and that I didn't need to come in for my 5-10 shift. I was totally OK with not working and just relaxing, but I only have one other shift this week (Saturday 4-10), which means my next paycheck is going to be absolutely pitiful. YAY?!

I really didn't leave the apartment at all today since it was rainy and kind of depressing outside. I did walk to get the mail, and Adam and I did make a Target run so I could get a new blowdryer, which was definitely necessary. Because of this stay-inside mentality, I stuck with a blue USFSP long sleeve shirt ($18 at the Barnes & Noble bookstore) and my go-to pair of holey cropped American Eagle skinny jeans ($25 on sale). Comfy, and not completely unfashionable :-P

Similar American Eagle cropped/holey jegging
I like this shirt because it says "Bulls" on the sleeve :-)

Similar USFSP long sleeve shirt
When I did briefly leave the apartment, I donned a pair of black-and-off-white aztec-printed BKE Sole slip-ons (about $24 after discount). They're really cute, right?!?!

Like I said, I didn't really do much of anything. For dinner, I enjoyed myself a rather large serving of the Shepard's Pie Adam made for dinner. It was delicious!! After that, I relaxed with Adam while watching Community, and then we both went to bed early. Even though I slept in, I was still tired enough to go to bed when Adam does :-P Now, I have some more posts to finish, so until I finish the next one... Stay comfortable my fellow fashionistas!! Ciao!!

I love recruiting fabulous young ladies!

Day #126

Happy Tuesday, ladies and gents! :)

I was feeling fabulous today, so I put on a saweet blazer and made myself look fancy. :) lol (as shown below)

Tonight is the first night of Continuous Open Recruitment (COR), so I needed to look presentable and give off a positive attitude or a good representation of my chapter. I'm really excited to see all the girls going through tonight, and I'll be sure to keep you posted on how each event goes! :)

SNOW DAYYYYYY! :)

Day #125

Even though today was a snow day, I was unable to sleep in past 9am. My body doesn't allow me to do that anymore. :(  Merh.

I got a bunch of homework done today and didn't spend a second relaxing. -_-  Relaxing is no longer a thing, I guess. :P lol  But that's fine. It just means less for me to have to worry about during the rest of the week when I'm busy with recruitment, Gage, and Zumba, plus school.

Sorry for the outfit that doesn't really match...lol

School Days

Day 125

Howdy!! So... I finished the third book in my Bloodlines series last night. Big shocker, right?! ;-) It was SO FREAKING good, though, that I just couldn't put it down!! I somehow managed to wake up on time even though I was up super late reading, and I would've actually been early to my first class had my blowdryer not died. I was really mad. Instead of it taking like 5 minutes to blow dry my hair, it took almost 20, and even then my hair was still wet. Like I said, I was really mad. Because of that, I was 5 minutes late to my first class, which is an 11:00-12:25 Mathematics for Liberal Arts class. No worries, I wasn't in trouble or anything.

Today was yet another class-filled day... complete with my first test of the semester in my math class. YAY?! Luckily, I thought the test was super easy, and my teacher let us take 10 minutes after we finished to go through our notes in case we had problems with anytime. I do love this teacher, for real. She's super awesome, totally understanding, and wants all of to succeed to the point where she will help us in any way possible if we're lost or confused. LOVE IT!! I hope to be as cool of a teacher as she is. True story :-)

My other classes were OK. Nothing too special to report. I did get a TON of homework done, as well as getting a good chunk of my fourth book done. Winner!!

For my class-filled day, I wore a burgundy-and-cream-striped ¾ Papaya shirt ($13) with my black Anthropologie scarf that has white sparrows on it ($20 on eBay). I felt like mixing patterns again, so I just went for it, and I think it turned out pretty cool actually :-) For jeans, I went with my basic dark wash American Eagle skinny jeans ($35) since I was most definitely running late.

This weather needs to go.

Day #124

It snowed all night and was disgusting outside when I left for church. Surprise surprise. -_-  I seriously cannot wait for spring and summer to be here!

I went to church with my sister, Katy, and my sorority sister, Morgan, this morning, and then I rushed home afterwards to get ready for work. I was scheduled from 1-6, but since it was so gross outside and the store was slow, I was let off thirty minutes early. Yay. -_-

I found out at work that my chapter meeting was cancelled, so I was able to go home and relax for the night, which turned into going to over to Gage's for the night. :P lol

On the bright side, however, Monday classes were cancelled because of the weather, so I got to stay up as late as I wanted, knowing I could sleep in in the morning. :) Yay me! haha

Here's what I wore to church!

Another Lazy Day Off

Day 124

Hi!! So... I finished the second book in my Bloodlines series (AMAZINGLY GOOD) last night, and I've started the third one. I've got the fourth one left, and then the fifth one is coming out in July. No worries, I've totally already pre-ordered it from Amazon :-)

Quick side note: I did end up getting up briefly at like 6:30am to say bye to Kat and Dan since they were leaving for their flight back home, but I'm not counting that as "getting up".

Since I stayed up super, duper late (I'm too embarrassed to tell you what time exactly), I figured sleeping in would be a good idea. It totally was, by the way. Today was a super lazy day off for me. After sleeping in until around 1:30pm, I got up, took my time getting ready, and then did a little cleaning around the apartment. Nothing too special. When Adam came home from work, we made a Target run to pick up a few groceries and what not, but that was pretty much the most exciting part of my day. True story :-P

For my lazy day off, I wore an orange Society v-neck t-shirt ($15 on sale from Buckle), a dark gray Divided cardigan that has elbow patches ($6 from Plato's), and my cropped holey American Eagle skinny jeans ($25 on sale). So comfy!!

Similar American Eagle cropped/holey jegging
I actually really like this shirt. I'm normally not a huge Society fan because it's not really my style, but I could buy any top from this brand and get 60% off, a deal that was only offered to Buckle employees. I just couldn't pass up a deal like that ;-)

ELBOW PATCH!! What can I say? I love elbow patches :-P

When we did have to leave the apartment, I ended up throwing on my white no name flats that have little cutouts in them (like $9 from Plato's) because they're easy to wear and super comfy.

The rest of my night was spent eating eggs for dinner, doing homework, and reading more of my book. That, and just relaxing with Adam. Fun times :-)

I have to go finish up some more posts (I'm so far behind, it's ridiculous). So, until the next one is done... Stay productive and fabulous!! Ciao!!

20 and a half.

Day #123

Happy half birthday to me! Yay!!! This means I'll be 21 in less than six months. WHOOP WHOOP. :)

Unfortunately, I had to spend my half birthday working. (Gross.) And we were so extremely busy! I had idiots just walking in to play, rather that making reservations, expecting to be able to play at the drop of a hat. Like really. How annoying!

One lady had a walk-in birthday party. WHO DOES THAT?! Just by doing that, she made my day hell. It was already hectic, chaotic, and absolutely crazy at work, and this certainly didn't make it any better! Ugh. -_-

I passed out for half an hour when I got home, I relaxed for another hour, and then I did homework until Morgan (my unofficial diamond) came over to watch "Frozen" and hang out. :)  It was much better once I got to the later part of my night!

Gage was gone ALL weekend, so I had plenty of free time to relax and do homework. It sucked, in case you were wondering. -_-  I missed him all day.

Anyways, here's what I rocked to work!

Busch Garden :-)

Day 123

Hey!! So, I finished the first book in my Bloodlines series late last night, and it was REALLY good!! I know you guys were wondering, so I just had to let you know ;-)

Early this morning (around like 10 or so), Kat and Dan came back to stay with us for one more day before flying back to Vermont, so we took them to Busch Gardens. Adam and I are pass holders, and they were having this deal where each pass holder could bring a guest for free, so I took Kat and he took Dan. It was really fun!! We didn't end up riding any rides, but we still had a good time :-)

We saw an ice show and a musical (singing and dancing) show, both of which were really good :-) The musical show took place in this lunch/dinner theater place, so we were able to watch it while eating lunch. I may or may not have had this adult Cheetah Hunt drink (which was amazing) during the show along with some chicken alfredo. YUM!! After that, we went to the ICEploration show. Adam and I have seen it before, but it was still really fun to see it again.

For dinner, we went to Chili's, which was also really yummy!! I got the same thing I did last time, a Tripple Dipper meal that included 2 bacon cheeseburger sliders, loaded potato skins, and some spinach artichoke dip with chips. SO GOOD!! Then, I had my Tropical Sunrise margarita, which was just as delicious as always :-)

For this fun-filled day, I wore an orangeish BKE floral burnout that has cool patterned sleeves (about $18 after discount) over a plain white camisole and my go-to cropped American Eagle holey skinny jeans/jeggings that I had bought on sale for $25. Fashionable and comfortable all the way :-)

Similar American Eagle cropped/holey jegging
I love how this shirt has a floral burnout pattern instead of the typical burnout pattern. It just gives it that something extra :-)

The sleeves are my favorite part, though, because they take it from a long-john-looking long sleeve shirt to a fashionable one. Also, my BKE chevron watch is super cute (about $18 after discount).

For shoes, I went with the distressed brown Soda boots I had gotten from Plato's for like $12. I then added my off-white BKE boot socks to give my outfit an extra something. I think the end result was pretty freaking great if I do say so myself :-)

Similar Soda boots

After dinner, we relaxed for a bit in the apartment until Adam had to get ready for bed since he had to get up early for work the next day. Once Adam did go to bed, Kat and I ended up doing homework while Dan played games on his tablet. Fun stuff, right?! I also finished up the laundry (I had started it last night but forgot to mention it on yesterday's post because I was tired). Fun ;-)

I've been reading the second book in my Bloodlines series, and just like the first one, it's also REALLY good!! I highly recommend this series, but make sure to read the Vampire Academy series first because you'll be super confused otherwise.

I have some more posts to complete, so until the next one is done... Stay fabulous my fellow fashionistas!! Ciao!!

4 Years of Dating :-)

Day 122

Hey!! So today was Adam and I's dating anniversary (four years ya'all), which is crazy. It definitely doesn't feel like it's been four years already :-P Since we both had the day off, we ended up sleeping in like super late... Oops. Once we did decide to grace the world with our presence, we pretty much just took our sweet time doing nothing. It was fantastic!! OH, and the Bloodlines series books I ordered came in (there's four!!), so I'm definitely excited to dig into them!! They take place right after the last book in the Vampire Academy series, but with a different character's point of view. I'M SO STOKED!!

Adam and I ended up inviting the Montgomerys (Andrew and Nikki) to go to dinner with us, and we decided that Outback was a good choice. I ended up having a Wallabee Darned (it's like a frozen peach drink), a patron margarita, and some buffalo chicken tenders that came with a bleu cheese dip and some steak fries. YUMMY!!

I wore a Daytrip shirt that has a bow on it (about $13 after discount) with my gray Daytrip blazer (like $28 after discount) and a teal BKE infinity scarf. SO CUTE!! I also wore my lighter wash Daytrip skinnies that were about $30 after my discount.

I then added my black slightly-pointy toed Cooperative flats that I got for like $8 at Plato's closet. They're so cute and so comfy, it's ridiculous.

After dinner, the four of us went back to Adam and I's apartment to play Super Mario World, which was really, really fun :-) For some reason, Adam always seems to win when we play games. I don't get it... Oh well. I played as Princess Peach, go figure. I mean, I am a princess ;-) We ended up playing a couple of games and then watching TV for a bit before calling it a night. Overall, our day off together today ended up being pretty great!!

I've started the first Bloodlines book, and so fart it's really, really good!! Just in case you were wondering ;-) I have some more posts to, um... catch up on. Until I finish the next one... Try and stay fabulous, mmk? Ciao, my lovelies!!

Ending my Friday at work: Woohoo.

Day #122

Day #121

It was cold today. And snowy. And I'm ready for summer. :(  Merh.

Late Work Night

Day 121

Hey guys!! So, I slept in, took my time getting ready, and got to see Adam for a bit before heading off to my 5pm-midnight shift. That shift, which I was totally looking all fabulous for, ended up being a non-sales inventory shift. Not fun. I mean, pretty much everyone was working, and most of us were working on inventory, so we did have some fun as a group, but still... I would much rather work a sales shift where I can get some commission instead of just minimum wage. True story.

So, my completely wasted fabulous outfit consisted of a white lace Daytrip tank that has a black sparkly cross on it ($15 after discount) with a plain black camisole underneath, a striped BKE hooded cardigan (about $30 after discount), my off-white BKE infinity sweater scarf ($10 after discount), and a lighter wash pair of Daytrip skinnies (about $30 after discount). I mean, this outfit was totally fabulous, and yet... totally wasted on an inventory shift.

I added a pair of black Twisted flats that have studs all over them (about $12 after discount). I haven't worn these in forever, and I'm not entirely sure why :-P

I got home from work only to pass out on the bed. For real. I was totally exhausted. True story. Now, off to finish some more posts :-P Until I finish the next one... Stay fabulous my friends!! Ciao!!

ZUMBAAAAAAA!!!

Day #120

Happy Wednesday!!! :)

Today starts the first night of Zumba class, which I'm SUPER PUMPED for! It's going to be a blast! :) A bunch of my sisters are in the class with me so even if the class is hard and frustrating, I'll have fun with my sisters. :)

I french braided my hair again today, but only did half of it so the braid wouldn't fall out and annoy me all day. :P Enjoy!

Stay fabulous and forever trending.

Classes Aren't Fun

Day 120

Hiya!! So... I'm not a fan of school. I get that it's important and all, but in all seriousness, I can't wait until I can graduate with my teaching degree. Yeah, yeah... I realize how ironic it is that I hate school yet want to be a teacher... Ha Ha Ha :-P But it's just what I want to do. Classes were OK, nothing too special. I won't bore you with the details. You can thank me later ;-)

For my class-filled day, I wore my navy-and-white striped Love Culture shirt (like $9) under the golden yellow BKE pleather jacket I just recently picked up off of layaway (around $42 after discount) with a white floral-printed Anthropologie scarf that I bought from eBay years ago for like $20 before shipping. I added my basic dark wash American Eagle skinnies ($35) again because they are just that comfy.

This scarf is probably one of my favorites. I don't wear it very often, though, because it is kind of huge. For real. It can overwhelm an outfit if I'm not careful. I still love it to pieces, though :-)

For shoes, it's no shocker that I wore the beautiful grayish-tan Aldo boots that Adam got me for our one year wedding anniversary. SO PRETTY!!

My beautiful Aldo boots :-)
After class, I came home, changed into my pjs, and did homework for forever. Fun, right?! Not :-P I ended up staying up much later than I had anticipated trying to get everything done. Oops. At least it's done, though, so that's good. I have to do some more posts, so until I finish the next one... Stay scholarly and fashionable :-) Ciao!!
