This should be interesting...NYE 2K13!

Day #98

So, I'm really feeling like tonight is going to be a very interesting one, but hopefully in a good way...

Katy, Gage, his brother, Jake, and I are all going to a Waterloo Blackhawks hockey game after I get off work- at 5- and then Gage and I are for sure going over to his fraternity house for a New Year's Eve party, but I'm not sure what Katy and Jake's plans are going to be. A handful of my sorority sisters are coming into town to go to the party, since our chapter are close and a lot of ADPis date the SigEps. It should be fun. :)

I woke up this morning to the sniffles and babies screaming. I was praying to God that that wasn't going to be any kind of indication of how the day would go! I'm so extremely exhausted right now and I cannot wait to get off work and have some fun tonight. It's definitely needed, and I think it is certainly well-deserved! :)

My boss, Mark, came into work today. Normally, when he comes in, everyone is kind of on edge and stressed out, but it actually is going really well so far! He hasn't been in for a while since he's been at the new store in Clear Lake, so maybe that's why it was better today than it has been in the past. We've been joking around and laughing a lot, AND he made our shift leader ref the full building group with him and another ref, having me stay up front. I was pumped!!! The last three times I've worked I've been with the shift leader and she has made me ref, while she sits up front, so I was real ecstatic to finally get a break from reffing. :)  She didn't seem too thrilled about it but, honestly, long hair don't care. She can suck it up for today and ref. :P (sorry bout it)

So after work, I'm zipping over to Gage's, changing into a dress and heels super quick, going to pick up Katy, and then going over to the SigEp house before the hockey game at 7. I still have to find some time in the day to eat, but whatevs. I really wanna lose three pounds...;) (that's a "Mean Girls" reference, in case you were wondering. I don't actually want to lose three pound :P)

Shout out to my ratchet outfit at work...enjoy. ;)

Wooh for bathroom selfies at work. :P
Crewneck Sweater: Adrenaline X Laser Tag; Sweatpants: Target (similar);  Knit Boots: UGG Australia, old

I'll let you know more tomorrow how tonight goes and I'll be sure to show you all my cute New Year's Eve outfit! Have a magical, and safe, night, everyone, and remember to stay fabulous and forever trending. :)

New Year's Eve :-)

Day 98

Hey ya'all!! So... I was lazy today :-P I ended up sleeping in until almost 1pm, which is absolutely crazy. I was just incredibly tired, and the still gloomy weather didn't help at all. I got up, ate breakfast, drank some coffee, showered, and slowly got ready for the day. IDK why, but I just had zero motivation to do anything remotely productive. That's just how it's been for me today. Literally.

When I did get ready, I wore a cute dark teal Mossimo blazer that has a zipper along the waist area ($25 on sale) over a tan Forever 21 tank top that has gold polka dots on it ($6 at Plato's). Then, I added my comfy cropped American Eagle skinnies that have holes in them ($25 on sale). Comfy, cute, and still fabulous :-)

What's really sweet about my blazer is that the zipper actually works, so I can make it a cropped blazer/jacket if I choose to :-) Homegirl loves options!!

Similar Forever 21 top
I went with a simple pair of tan Mossimo flats ($6 at Plato's) because they match, they're comfy, and they're easy to wear. Great choice on my part :-)

Adam and I ended up going out to dinner at Bahama Breeze, which was delicious :-) I had a sautéed shrimp pasta meal, two delicious frozen drinks (Ultimate Bahamarita & Ultimate Pina Colada), and then half of a chocolate mountain dessert that was split with Adam. Like I said, it was delicious!! I highly recommend trying Bahama Breeze if you ever are around one :-)

After dinner, Adam and I came back to the apartment to just relax for a bit before he had to get ready for bed. I ended up changing into a white-and-teal striped Forever 21 long sleeve top ($8 online) and a JustFab white scarf that has black printed words all over it (free with purchase of some fabulous shoes). I kept my skinnies because they're just that comfy :-P

Similar Forever 21 top
My scarf is sooooo fabulous!! I do love it quite a lot :-)

Similar printed scarf
Once Adam went to bed, my friend Nikki came over to have a "girl's night" so we didn't have to spend New Year's Eve alone (her husband Andrew works the same early shift that Adam does, so he goes to bed super early, too). We ended up watching a bunch of different movies/shows on TV while having a drink a piece until the ball drop at midnight. Not too long after the ball drop, Nikki walked back over to her apartment to go to bed, and then I ended up getting ready for bed as well :-P My kittens behaved themselves very well while she was over, and after she left, they started cuddling on their tower again. SO FREAKING ADORABLE!!

Aww... So precious!!
I ended up crawling into bed around 1:30 or so by the time I finished getting ready for bed. Once my head hit the pillow, I was completely out :-P I guess I didn't realize how tired I really was... Granted, I really shouldn't have been that tired considering I slept in so ridiculously late, but hey, it happens.

I have another post to catch up on, so until I finish that one... Stay fabulous, my fellow fashionistas :-) Ciao!!

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow. -_-

Day #97

Today was so incredibly draining. I stayed up WAY too late last night, til almost 2, and then I woke up semi-early this morning to leave my house around 10:30 for Des Moines. Katy had took it upon herself to decide over the weekend that us three girls were going to drive to my cousin, Lizzy and Kate's, house and go to the mall with them. So I got the "privilege" of driving us two hours there and back and the thirty minutes to the mall and back to their house. Oh goody goody gum drop. -_-  Oh, and did I mention that it was gross, snowy and foggy the entire time? No? Well, I just did. It sucked butt. I was scared most of the time of crashing and the traffic was awful! :P

We got to Johnston- which is right outside of Des Moines, where they live - around 1ish, left for the mall around 2, and got there a little before 2:30. We hit up a few stores, one being Forever 21, OBVIOUSLY! I spent my giftcard money on a pair of silver metallic leggings (ooh la la ;)), a cute headband, and an absolutely amazing necklace that I cannot wait to wear!!! Eek! :)  That was all I bought, unfortunately. It just seemed like everything had been picked through too much, from the holidays, and nothing was popping out at me. It was kind of a blessing in disguise though since I really didn't need to spend the extra money.

Anyways, we got back to Lizzy and Kate's around 4:30, and, after getting through the nasty traffic of Des Moines, we made it into CF by 7. I was so exhausted that I took a shower and changed right into my footie pajamas, after eating dinner of course. Gage came over after that, we watched "Bridesmaids" with Katy and Kimmy and then he took off for home. I'm in bed now trying to hurry it up with this post so I can get some shut-eye before working tomorrow. :P (sorry bout it.)

Oh fun fact!!! I got my new iPhone case in yesterday!!! :)

Check out my outfit below!

Oh Mondays, Why Must You Exist?

Day 97

Hey guys!! So... I'm not really a fan of Mondays. I don't know what it is about them... All I know is that I definitely don't like them :-P I woke up at 6:30 this morning in order to leave by 7:30 so I could get to work by 8 for my 8-5 shift. It was slow enough throughout the work day that I felt like I was going crazy. For serious. And not only was it pretty ridiculously slow, but I also kept having to deal with stupid and/or difficult guests. I mean, don't get me wrong... It wasn't a bad day, it just could've been better. That's all. I'm just really glad that I got off at 5 (well, ok, it was more like 5:25 by the time I got out to my car) so I could spend some time with Adam :-)

Today, I wore a pretty fabulous outfit that included two of the pieces I bought yesterday. I wore my new BKE cream high-low tank top that has beading on the front and lace on the back (about $33 after discount) under my striped Billabong sweater cardigan (about $36 after discount, I think) with a my new BKE coral cropped vest (about $16 after discount) in-between the two pieces. Cute, right?! Then, I went for a super comfy, yet totally incredible, pair of Daytrip skinny jeans (about $30 after discount) to finish off my wonderful outfit :-) FABULOUS!!

My favorite part about this outfit, other than the coral vest perfectly matching my striped cardigan, was how well the beading detailing on my tank went with the striped pattern on my cardigan. I've kind of been into mixing patterns/prints lately, I don't know if you've noticed :-P It just makes me super happy, which is always a good thing!!

One aspect I love about my tank top, other than the beading, is the longer lace back that sticks out below most of the pieces I'd wear over it. This little, seemingly insignificant, detail just gives my outfit(s) that extra something special, you know?! :-)

And, once again, I wore my amazingly fabulous Not Rated cream studded/bedazzled/heeled boots (about $45 after discount) because they do happen to be one of my favorite pairs of boots. That, and they also just so happen to match pretty much any outfit I could put together :-P

I got home from work close to 6 due to traffic, at which point I changed into a comfier outfit in order to relax a bit more :-P Adam and I walked to office area to check our mailbox (no mail, yet again), and then Adam made some penne pasta with olive oil, garlic powder, parmesan cheese, butter, and milk. YUM!! After that, we ended up watching a ridiculous amount of Criminal Minds episodes because, well... Criminal Minds is an incredible show :-) At some point, while I was in the midst of drinking one of the three margaritas I had tonight (they were from the mix we made for Christmas), Adam went to play one of his new games on his laptop, and I continued to watch more Criminal Minds episodes (while drinking, of course!!). So fun :-P

For the comfier part of my evening, I wore a soft gray striped Mossimo v-neck sweater ($6 at Plato's) with my go-to pair of cropped American Eagle skinnies that have holes in them ($25 on sale) because it was comfy and easy :-)

When Adam and I ventured out to get the mail, I threw on my super cute off-white BKE infinity scarf ($10 after discount) since it was kind of chilly outside and my favorite teal Mossimo pointy flats that have little holes in them ($5 on sale). The scarf and flats were very easily accessible when walking into my closet, so I went for it :-P

Once Adam started getting ready for bed (and while I continued to watch Criminal Minds and finish off my third of three margaritas), I decided to go ahead and french braid my hair into a side ponytail because it [my hair] was driving me nuts :-P I turned out kind of cute, somehow, and it literally only took me like 5 minutes to do it. I just needed to get it up and out of the way.

Soooooo bored :-P
Adam's been in bed since like 9:30, and it's now almost 11:30 as I'm finishing up this post, so I've been watching Criminal Minds for a very long time :-P AND I'm slowly becoming more and more bored. Of course, the three margaritas I had probably didn't help... But yeah, slowly becoming more and more bored. True story. I thought I'd share my super cute "boredom" face with you ;-). Have fun with that one, OK?! HAHA :-P Well, now I think I want to focus on the episode I'm watching because I'm kind of confused as to what's going on... So until I post again (tomorrow, maybe??), stay incredibly fabulous, my friends!! Ciao!!

Still Dreary, but Much Less Boring (Sunday)

Day 96

Hi!! Ok, so even though I slept in until like noon again today, I woke up in a much better mood, regardless of the same dreary, crappy, rainy, cloudy weather :-) Adam got home from work early, so he was actually home when I got up, which was kind of nice. I woke up, enjoyed my typical breakfast (cinnamon raison bagel with cinnamon cream cheese and caramel vanilla coffee with hazelnut creamer), took a shower, and got ready, all before 2!! That means it took me much less than 2 hours to do all of that. Shocker, right?!

After I got ready (and took some pictures for this post), I decided to head on over to Buckle to buy a couple of items that I've had on hold in the back for a week or two. I got a new Under One Sky cream-colored wallet that has little gold studs all over it (about $16 after discount) to match my beautiful Michael Kors purse, a cute coral vest, a black-and-tan high-low maxi dress, a cream/beaded high-low tunic tank, and an off-white long sleeve blouse, all for like $100 after my discount. Yeah, that doesn't sound too impressive, but if you've ever shopped at Buckle, you know that getting 5 items for $100 is impossible. True story :-P

I ended up getting home around 3, and after a good 40 minute phone call with my family (that started on my drive home) I was able to start attacking my closet before 3:30. It took me about an hour to go through my closet and figure out what I didn't wear anymore. I ended up having a good 30 minutes to relax after going through my closet before leaving for dinner with Adam at 5. We decided to go to Chili's because we had $10 in Chili's cash from the last time we were there (they had ran out of the tequila needed to make the Tropical Sunrise Margarita that I love, and it took the bartender almost 45 minutes to get the Patron Margaritas that Adam and I had ordered done, so the manager not only took off the first drink I ordered since they couldn't make it for me, but he also gave us $10 in Chili's cash for the long wait).

At Chili's, I was finally able to enjoy my favorite Tropical Sunrise Margarita (second row from the bottom, on the right), which didn't disappoint AT ALL. For dinner, I ended up having the Triple Dipper, which is a platter of three appetizers, since I was a) super hungry, b) in the mood for several different things, and c) incredibly indecisive. Let me just tell you... that was an amazing decision!! For my three appetizers, I chose these hamburger sliders that had applewood smoked bacon with caramelized onions and cheddar cheese, baked potato skins (loaded with green onions, bacon, and cheddar cheese) with ranch dipping sauce, and this artichoke and spinach dip (parmesan cheese melted into it) with tortilla chips. SO YUMMY!! My tummy was very happy :-) Adam ended up having a chicken bacon ranch quesadilla that he said was really good, so he left a satisfied customer as well, in case ya'all were wondering :-P What made the dinner even better was that we ended up only having to pay $26 after tip. Sweet!! That never happens when we both go out to eat, unless it's to like Jersey Mike's or some other fast(er) food place.

We got home from dinner a little after 6, and then I booked it on over to Plato's to sell them my unwanted items before they closed at 7. I was actually on my way home by 6:45, which surprised me. Normally they take FOREVER to go through my stuff. Granted... I did only bring one bag instead of the two I normally bring, so I guess that does make a difference ;-) Anyways, so I ended up making $79 off of the stuff I got rid of last minute, which wasn't too bad. Had I brought my stuff in earlier in the day, they might've taken more (having worked a Plato's previously, I know that when someone would bring in stuff to sell within the last hour before closing, I/we would accept the least amount of items possible to prevent us from staying any later than we had to... That's just how it is). In all honesty, I'm just glad I made more than $50 since that's all I was expecting to make.

On the way home, I stopped by Wells Fargo to deposit the cash into our checking account via the drive-up ATM. I don't like carrying cash on me if I don't have to. IDK why, I'm just weird about it :-P I ended up getting home about 7:15, and I've just been lounging in my PJ's while catching up on my posts ever since. Adam's busy finding a new computer game to "become addicted to," so I get to have a little time to myself :-) I'm not sure how much longer I'm going to stay up tonight since I have to get up by 6:30 to be at work by 8 tomorrow morning... Yuck. Oh well. I only have three shifts this week, so I guess I can't really complain all that much :-P

Now, onto my outfit!! I actually looked pretty darn fabulous today, if I do say so myself :-) I wore a navy-and-white stripped Love Culture fitted ¾ length shirt ($9) with a white/floral American Eagle infinity scarf ($12 on sale) and my go-to cropped American Eagle skinnies that have holes in them ($25). So cute!! And still super, duper comfortable :-)

For some reason I'm not sure of, I had this urge to mix prints/patterns today, so I went for it :-P The florally pattern on my scarf actually ended up going pretty well with the smaller stripes on my shirt. I think the reason these two pieces worked so well together was because they're both smaller prints that have similar colors in them. Regardless of the reason, I still loved this combo!!

Since it was still raining, I decided to wear my white no name flats that have little holes in them (Plato's for $9). These flats are perfect for rainy weather because the material won't get destroyed by water, and the holes prevent water from accumulating in the bottom of my shoes as I walk around outside. Love it!! AND, as always, they're still super cute :-)

One thing that really entertained me today had to do with Khaleesi. See, she seems to think that's she's still a little, tiny kitten who can hide anywhere when in reality, she's really fluffy and kind of chunky, which means that when she hides under dressers or side tables, she tends to not completely hide herself. When ends up happening is her butt and tail stick out while the rest of her is hidden, and I think it's absolutely hysterical :-)

She's so funny :-P
So, I know ya'all are probably incredibly curious about how my hair turned out, right?? Well, even if you aren't all that curious, I included a very rare selfie so you can see my hair anyways :-P Enjoy!!

Don't get used to this, OK?! Homegirl doesn't like having her picture taken,
even if she is the one taking it
Oh, and remember how I mentioned something about buying a super cute wallet that matches my beautiful MK purse?? Well, I decided to include a picture of that, too!! That, and I wanted to show off my purse again... I mean, who can blame me?? It is a ridiculously fabulous purse after all :-)

My Under One Sky wallet!!
And if you love my MK bag and want to be twinsies... ;-)
So, yeah... That's been my day :-) Like I said, it's been a much better day than yesterday, which is exactly what I needed. I'm off to relax a bit before hitting the hay, so until I post again (hopefully tomorrow at some point?)... Stay fabulous, my fellow fashionistas :-) Ciao!!

I couldn't think of anything clever, so this is the title.

Day #96

Good afternoon fellow fashionistas! How was your day? Mine was good! Slept in, half-assed my getting ready for the day- dry shampooed my hair -, went to my grandparents' for lunch with my cousins, and then I went to the mall to get some "7 for $26" underwear at Victoria's Secret! :)  I got some really cute underwear, as well as some spray that helps keep make up on. Whoop whoop! lol

As promised, I tried to look "top notch" today. Hopefully I made the cut!

Salmon Family Christmas

Day #95

The struggle has been so extreme and real today. I went over to Gage's after work last night, and ended up staying up way too late and, long story short, I only got about six hours of sleep - I need eight to function. Katy and I both worked today, so I went to work with her at 11, even though I didn't have to be there until 12. :P  So I just did my makeup and finished my hair at work, went to Starbucks, got some lunch at Taco Bell, and then headed into work for the day.

We were actually kind of busy today. There weren't any birthday parties, but we had multiple large groups booked on our pro course, so I had to help on those. Yay for reffing three days in a row...NOT! -_-  I don't mind reffing, but not when it's three days in a row, and multiple each shift. Like, I can't. Ugh. Since we didn't really need five people to be working on one group, Katy was sent home at 3. She had to come back, though, since she was my ride, but only ended up needing to wait about half an hour, because I got off around fifteen minutes early.

After work we went over to our grandparents' house to join the rest of our family for the Salmon family Christmas. Wah-hoo. -_-  The only good thing, besides getting gifts - jk...kinda- was that our two girl cousins, Lizzy and Kate, were there. They're funny and the five of us girls always have a good time together! We don't get to see them all that often, so when we do, we make sure to make it count! :) lol  Anyways, after we ate dinner, we all went and did gifts, and then us cousins left to go to my house to play my new card game, Cards Against Humanity, and also go to Walmart to get our fake champagne that we drink every year at our family Christmas. Gage joined us in playing the game and being weird, and we had a lot of great laughs. It was a really fun night with them! :)

I was lazy today and decided to be stubborn and not wear my work shirt for the fourth time this week. I knew I'd be wearing my zip-up, since its so cold in the store, so it didn't really matter, honestly, what shirt I had on underneath. Here's what I wore:

Jaguar Sweater: Forever 21 (Similar); Light Destroy Vintage Skinny Jean: American Eagle, old; Combat Boots: Sears, old (Similar); Handbag: Kate Spade, old; Galaxy Hipster Cat iPhone 5c Case: Amazon

I'm absolutely pooped from the day, so time to hit the hay- sorry, I didn't mean for that to rhyme. :P  Hope you enjoyed your Saturday! Stay fabulous and forever trending. :)

Dreary, Boring Saturday

Day 95

Hey guys. So... My mood kind of matched the weather today: dreary, rainy, cloudy, gloomy. Just not a good day for me I guess. Before I went to bed last night, I had made plans to go lay out by the pool since I had the day off, but when I woke up this morning to go do so (around 9:30), the weather made my plans impossible. Raining and cloudy all day long. Fantastic. I went back to bed and didn't get back up until noon. Once I did get up, I just moped around, not doing much other than eating my typical breakfast (cinnamon raison bagel with cinnamon cream cheese and caramel vanilla coffee with hazelnut creamer). I was still in my PJ's watching TV when Adam came home around 1:45. Lame, right?

The reason I had't showered yet was because I wanted to color my hair, which works best on hair that hasn't been washed yet. We had picked up the color I wanted last night so I could do it today, and I wanted to make sure Adam was home just in case I needed help coloring the back part. So around 2 I decided to get started on coloring my hair. I go in the bathroom, lay out all of the supplies that I would need (both the ones from the boxed color and the ones I had picked up from Sally's the night before), and start mixing the color only to discover that the boxed color I had bought was missing the two main ingredients. I WAS SO MAD!! Not only did my day start off crappy due to the weather, but then my attempt to perk up a bit by coloring my hair failed as well. Sucked SO bad!!

What made me the most mad was that this $10 box of hair color was the last box at Walmart, it couldn't be returned because I had already started mixing the stuff, and the color itself was ridiculously hard to find since it's like the most popular one in the L'Oreal Feria line. So basically, it was FRUSTRATION CENTRAL!! Since I couldn't color my hair, I ended up showering by like 2:30 and partially getting ready, and by partially getting ready I mean hair air-dried, no make-up, and a lounging outfit. This lazy getting ready process was completed before 3:30.

Around like 5:30 or so (or after I spent a good 2 hours napping/zoning out in bed), Adam and I decided to go pick up a few things at Publix. While we were out, I ended up running into Walgreens to buy a new box of the color I use for my hair (WooHoo another $10 for hair color). We got home and ate some leftovers, all before 6:30, and then ended up watching Mama on TV. Since Mama is a scary movie, Adam and I would flip to The Devil Wears Prada to avoid the scarier parts :-P

The movie(s) finished around 9 or so, and Adam went to get ready for bed while I began the hair-coloring process. I was completely done coloring my hair (which includes the coloring, the waiting, the showering, the blow-drying, and the french-braiding) well before 11, and for the next 3 hours or so I ended up just lounging on the loveseat watching random things on TV. Fun, right?! Not.

So, for this lounging, dreary, and boring day, I wore a really, really unexciting outfit: a simple OP black fitted v-neck t-shirt (Walmart, $5) with a pair of slightly-holey Silver bootcut jeans that I had bought off of eBay years ago for like $35. I even wore this when we ran to Publix and Walgreens. Shocking, right?! I NEVER wear this kind of stuff out. For shoes (when I had to wear them), I literally just wore a plain black pair of Old Navy flip flops ($7 at Old Navy), which is also something I would never normally do. Like I said, today was just not my kind of day.

The one good thing that happened today, other than finally fixing my hair color, was having my kittens cuddle with me while I was watching TV after Adam went to bed. They're just so stinking cute, and they always seem to know when their mommy needs some love :-)

I've got to go finish one more post, so until I get it done... Stay exciting, my friends!! Ciao!!

It's Friday!!

Day 94

Hi!! So… I was supposed to work a 2-10 shift again today… As it turns out, it was super slow at Buckle all day today, and the manager decided she had over scheduled people, gave me a call, and told me that I could take the day off if I wanted to… So I had a day off with Adam before he starts a 9-day-in-a-row work cycle that begins tomorrow :-) It was awesome!! Not only did I get to sleep in until 11:30, but I got to spend all day with my husband!! YAY for a great start to the day!!

I woke up at 11:30, took my time eating a cream-cheese-covered bagel with coffee while watching TV,  and managed to do my post for yesterday, all before 12:30, which is when I needed to start getting ready for work. I showered and got ready, and at 1:12, I got a phone call from Buckle telling me to take the day off if I wanted to (and I did want to :-P). After that, I just continued getting ready so that Adam and I could run some errands since I got paid today.

First, we went to Jersey Mike's for lunch, which is always delicious, since we had enough points for a free chips and drink with a sandwich purchase. Then, we went to Tiger Direct to find a computer sleeve for Adam's laptop, where we had zero luck finding anything close to what he wanted. Next, a trip to Best Buy to get a laptop sleeve and fancy gaming mouse for Adam's laptop, as well as a phone case for myself. After a somewhat pricey purchase at Best Buy, we headed next door to Walmart so I could pick up a box of hair color since my roots are getting bad :-P On the way back to the apartment, we also ended up stopping buy Pet Supermarket to get some goodies for our furry babies and Sally's Beauty Supply to pick up a few supplies I need for when I color my hair tomorrow. Lots of productivity happened today :-)

For our errand-running Friday, I wore a cute H&M white lace top ($5 on sale) over a tan Charlotte Russe camisole (also $5 on sale) with a pair of dark wash American Eagle skinny jeans ($30) and a teal BKE holey infinity scarf (about $10 after discount). Pretty darn cute, super comfy, and perfect for our low 70's weather :-)

Similar H&M white lace top
Similar American Eagle skinny jean
I'm totally in love with how cute my shirt looks with this scarf!! I think the combination is just fabulous, and I'm always a fan of having a pop of color in an otherwise neutral outfit :-)

Similar Buckle infinity scarf
Similar Charlotte Russe camisole
For shoes, I decided to wear the pair of Aldo tan leather boots that my husband had gotten me for our 1 year wedding anniversary because I haven't gotten to wear them in a very long time. I LOVE these boots a ridiculous amount!! And I also love how my husband just happens to have amazing taste when it comes to picking out presents for me :-) Oh, and I obviously love my husband as well <3

My beautiful Aldo boots :-)
Before I go on about the rest of my impromptu-day-off, I wanted to show off how fabulously adorable my new phone case is!! I mean, it just SCREAMS "Kassy" :-) This purple-and-teal florally case was like $40, but it's so pretty and will still protect my iPhone a decent amount. Yeah, I went from a super protective Otterbox to a not-as-protective Case-Mate, but hey… A girl needs a pretty phone case ;-) That, and my Otterbox case was completely falling apart, to the point where it was constantly driving me insane. Just saying.

NEW PHONE CASE!!!!
Ok, so after Adam and I got back to the apartment (and put away everything that we had bought), we lounged around for a bit, just relaxing. Then, for dinner, Adam made some delicious hamburgers with melted provolone cheese, and I heated up some leftover smashed potatoes to add a yummy side to our rather simple dinner. Let me just say that our dinner was actually really, really good!! Once we cleaned up from dinner, Adam and I continued to just relax in front of the TV until he had to get ready for bed. Now, I'm obviously working on my post :-P But I'm doing so while watching The Bourne Legacy on HBO. It really is a great movie, in my honest opinion. Granted, I've loved all of the Bourne movies, so I might possibly be a wee bit biased, but hey… I'm just being honest :-)

I'm going to go relax a bit since Khaleesi has finally decided it's time to cuddle, which doesn't happen very often :-P I've got to take advantage of these moments whenever they happen. So, until tomorrow… Stay productively fabulous ;-) Ciao, my fellow fashionistas!!

I just want to sleep.

Day #94

I worked again today. Since I'm lazy, I didn't feel like changing after or before work, so I just wore my work stuff all day. Again. I slept in until noon, after staying up until 3:30 in the morning the previous night, and got ready in just enough time to clean my room and eat before going into work at 5. Unfortunately, all three of the evening pro sessions, which are an hour and a half long, were all booked out, and I got the "lovely pleasure" of reffing all of them. Fml. -_-  So I didn't end up getting to leave work until 11. :(

When I got off work, I drove over to Gage's to hang out. I honest to God didn't mean to stay as late as I did. I was just planning on being there for maybe an hour or so, but I fell asleep and woke up at 3 to go back home. The struggle was so real. :P

Here's my outfit!

The day after.

Day #93

Well, Christmas is over....(that's all I really got) lol

Kimmy and I made a few errands before I headed to work. We went to U.S. Cellular to get our NEW IPHONES up-to-date with all our pictures and contacts and then we went to American Eagle to swap out our jeans that we got for Christmas from mom and dad (mine were too big). It only took about an hour, thank God, and then I headed home to get ready for the day.

I worked today, from one until seven. It was a long shift, and I got one five-minute break the entire time I was there since we were pretty busy. :/  Luckily though, I got off at 6:15, so I had time to go home and change before Katy and I headed over to Gage's to hang out with him and his brother, Jake.

The four of us went to see "American Hustle" after Gage made us dinner (it was hamburger helper). The movie had its funny moments, but we all left the theater feeling brain raped because we honestly had no idea what was going on most of the time...so that's good.

It was a good day, but definitely a long one. :P  Now on to my outfit of the day!

Aaaaaaaand Back to Work I Go (Another Thursday)

Day 93

Howdy!! So… I'm happy because even though I still had to work a 2-10, I was able to sleep in until 12:30, which was AWESOME :-) I got up at 12:30, relaxed while eating a cream-cheese-covered bagel with some delicious coffee for about 30 minutes, got ready, left for work by 1:30, and then worked for about 8 hours (we ended up getting done at 9:40 instead of 10, so YAY!!).

Work wasn't too bad. We were pretty steady all day, which was good. I technically made my sales goal of $1500 before returns/refunds/exchanges, but after taking those into account, I only made like $650 or so. How it works is the returns/refunds/exchanges are totaled and then subtracted from the total sales from the day, so "technically" I did make my goal :-P By the time 9:00 hit (or the store close time), the store was kind of a mess, but luckily my teammates and I had been cleaning for the last hour, which means it only took us like another 30 minutes to clean the store instead of another hour. Getting home 20 minutes early was fantastic :-)

For work, I wore a really cute Daytrip graphically-printed long-sleeved shirt (about $16 after discount) under my fabulous reddish BKE Boutique cardigan that has studs lining the front edge and the top of the pockets (about $35 after discount). Really cute, right?! Underneath all of that,  I added a plain black Aeropostale camisole ($3 from Plato's) so I could have that third layer. While I did get a wee bit overheated at work, I still looked really cute :-) I wore my black Daytrip jeggings (about $30 after discount) because, well… they're super ridiculously comfortable. True story!!

Here's a close-up of my shirt. It says "Dream, Wish, Make it Real" over a gray/black/white floral printed design. It's really, really cute, right?! Right :-)

For shoes, I wore my superbly fabulous off-white Not Rated heeled and studded boots (about $45 after discount) because I'm super, hardcore in love with them :-P I then added some off-white BKE boot socks to give it that extra "umphf" (about $10 after discount). SO CUTE!! Love it :-)

Similar boot socks
After I got home from work, I relaxed for a wee bit before watching Don Jon with Adam. It was a pretty good movie. The ended wasn't quite what you'd expect from watching the first part of the movie, but once you get about halfway through it, the ending becomes somewhat predictable. Sorry if that didn't make any sense, but that's just the best away I could describe it :-P

Once the movie was over, around midnight or so, I got ready for bed and hit the hay. I was so tired, I was out once my head hit the pillow… again. I've just been ridiculously tired lately, IDK why. Oh well. I've gotta get going, so until I post again (or the post for today/Friday)… stay fabulous my friends!! Ciao!!

Happy 2013th birthday Jesus!

Day #92

MeRrY ChRiStMaS!!!!!! :) I love Christmas with all of my heart, and not just because of the presents! The gifts are great and all, but I just love how amazing of a mood everyone seems to be, and I love celebrating the birth of Jesus. I like to think of myself as a big Christian, so I really cherish Christmas and the whole idea of God sending his one and only son to save us from our sins. Sorry for my little sermon but I just love Christmas! :)

Today was a really great day! :)  I woke up around 10/10:30, ate some apple turnovers for breakfast, got my NEW IPHONE activated, after I got ready for the day, and then we left for my grandma's house for lunch. We hung out there for a few hours, had some great laughs - my grandma is an absolute hoot - and then I went home around 5:30, when Gage came over for the night. I'm obsessed with my new iPhone, btdubs, and you can totally see the amazing case that Katy is letting me borrow for now, until mine comes in, in the first picture below! :)

Because I don't like to brag about my gifts and make that the main focus of today, I'm going to list what I got real quick like, and then me done with it. Here we go...

1. Completely surprised with a new pink 16GB iPhone 5c! AHHHH!!!
2. A "Keep Calm and Be a Princess" phone case, which ended up being for the 5s, so we had to send it back and order a new one :/ (hence me using Katy's extra cat one)
3. Snow leopard print footie pajamas
4. 9 cute tops from Forever 21, 2 of which we're returning because they are absolutely ratchet. (sorry mom...)
5. Pengin socks - with ruffles, naturally - and soap and a luffa from grandma
6. Axe for her body spray and body wash from Gage's mom
7. Lipgloss from Victoria's Secret
8. 2 pair of American Eagle jeans

I think that's it....for now. ;)

Now on to my look for the day!

Top: Forever 21 Wild Leopard Meow Sweatshirt (Similar); Pants:  American Eagle Rinse Indigo Super Stretch Skinny Jean, old; Shoes: Sears SM New York Women's Jaclyn Boot (Similar), old
Top: Forever 21 Wild Leopard Meow Sweatshirt (Similar)

My cousin Megan and I chillin' at Grandma Lil's. We're cool. :)

Nothing much else happened today. Gage and I watched the second "Percy Jackson" movie with my family, watched the end of "Forrest Gump" together, and then he left for home and I got all snuggled up into bed for the night. It was a long day, but definitely a great one! Hope you all had a marvelous one as well. :)

Stay fabulous and forever trending!

P.S. I love you Gage. 💋
