Day 96
Hi!! Ok, so even though I slept in until like noon again today, I woke up in a much better mood, regardless of the same dreary, crappy, rainy, cloudy weather :-) Adam got home from work early, so he was actually home when I got up, which was kind of nice. I woke up, enjoyed my typical breakfast (cinnamon raison bagel with cinnamon cream cheese and caramel vanilla coffee with hazelnut creamer), took a shower, and got ready, all before 2!! That means it took me much less than 2 hours to do all of that. Shocker, right?!
After I got ready (and took some pictures for this post), I decided to head on over to Buckle to buy a couple of items that I've had on hold in the back for a week or two. I got a new
Under One Sky cream-colored wallet that has little gold studs all over it (about $16 after discount) to match my beautiful
Michael Kors purse, a cute coral vest, a black-and-tan high-low maxi dress, a cream/beaded high-low tunic tank, and an off-white long sleeve blouse, all for like $100 after my discount. Yeah, that doesn't sound too impressive, but if you've ever shopped at Buckle, you know that getting 5 items for $100 is impossible. True story :-P
I ended up getting home around 3, and after a good 40 minute phone call with my family (that started on my drive home) I was able to start attacking my closet before 3:30. It took me about an hour to go through my closet and figure out what I didn't wear anymore. I ended up having a good 30 minutes to relax after going through my closet before leaving for dinner with Adam at 5. We decided to go to Chili's because we had $10 in Chili's cash from the last time we were there (they had ran out of the tequila needed to make the Tropical Sunrise Margarita that I love, and it took the bartender almost 45 minutes to get the Patron Margaritas that Adam and I had ordered done, so the manager not only took off the first drink I ordered since they couldn't make it for me, but he also gave us $10 in Chili's cash for the long wait).
At Chili's, I was finally able to enjoy my favorite
Tropical Sunrise Margarita (second row from the bottom, on the right), which didn't disappoint AT ALL. For dinner, I ended up having the Triple Dipper, which is a platter of three appetizers, since I was a) super hungry, b) in the mood for several different things, and c) incredibly indecisive. Let me just tell you... that was an amazing decision!! For my three appetizers, I chose these hamburger sliders that had applewood smoked bacon with caramelized onions and cheddar cheese, baked potato skins (loaded with green onions, bacon, and cheddar cheese) with ranch dipping sauce, and this artichoke and spinach dip (parmesan cheese melted into it) with tortilla chips. SO YUMMY!! My tummy was very happy :-) Adam ended up having a chicken bacon ranch quesadilla that he said was really good, so he left a satisfied customer as well, in case ya'all were wondering :-P What made the dinner even better was that we ended up only having to pay $26 after tip. Sweet!! That never happens when we both go out to eat, unless it's to like Jersey Mike's or some other fast(er) food place.
We got home from dinner a little after 6, and then I booked it on over to Plato's to sell them my unwanted items before they closed at 7. I was actually on my way home by 6:45, which surprised me. Normally they take FOREVER to go through my stuff. Granted... I did only bring one bag instead of the two I normally bring, so I guess that does make a difference ;-) Anyways, so I ended up making $79 off of the stuff I got rid of last minute, which wasn't too bad. Had I brought my stuff in earlier in the day, they might've taken more (having worked a Plato's previously, I know that when someone would bring in stuff to sell within the last hour before closing, I/we would accept the least amount of items possible to prevent us from staying any later than we had to... That's just how it is). In all honesty, I'm just glad I made more than $50 since that's all I was expecting to make.
On the way home, I stopped by Wells Fargo to deposit the cash into our checking account via the drive-up ATM. I don't like carrying cash on me if I don't have to. IDK why, I'm just weird about it :-P I ended up getting home about 7:15, and I've just been lounging in my PJ's while catching up on my posts ever since. Adam's busy finding a new computer game to "become addicted to," so I get to have a little time to myself :-) I'm not sure how much longer I'm going to stay up tonight since I have to get up by 6:30 to be at work by 8 tomorrow morning... Yuck. Oh well. I only have three shifts this week, so I guess I can't really complain all that much :-P
Now, onto my outfit!! I actually looked pretty darn fabulous today, if I do say so myself :-) I wore a navy-and-white stripped
Love Culture fitted ¾ length shirt ($9) with a white/floral
American Eagle infinity scarf ($12 on sale) and my go-to cropped
American Eagle skinnies that have holes in them ($25). So cute!! And still super, duper comfortable :-)
For some reason I'm not sure of, I had this urge to mix prints/patterns today, so I went for it :-P The florally pattern on my scarf actually ended up going pretty well with the smaller stripes on my shirt. I think the reason these two pieces worked so well together was because they're both smaller prints that have similar colors in them. Regardless of the reason, I still loved this combo!!
Since it was still raining, I decided to wear my white no name flats that have little holes in them (Plato's for $9). These flats are perfect for rainy weather because the material won't get destroyed by water, and the holes prevent water from accumulating in the bottom of my shoes as I walk around outside. Love it!! AND, as always, they're still super cute :-)
One thing that really entertained me today had to do with Khaleesi. See, she seems to think that's she's still a little, tiny kitten who can hide anywhere when in reality, she's really fluffy and kind of chunky, which means that when she hides under dressers or side tables, she tends to not completely hide herself. When ends up happening is her butt and tail stick out while the rest of her is hidden, and I think it's absolutely hysterical :-)

| She's so funny :-P |
So, I know ya'all are probably incredibly curious about how my hair turned out, right?? Well, even if you aren't all that curious, I included a very rare selfie so you can see my hair anyways :-P Enjoy!!

Don't get used to this, OK?! Homegirl doesn't like having her picture taken,
even if she is the one taking it |
Oh, and remember how I mentioned something about buying a super cute wallet that matches my beautiful MK purse?? Well, I decided to include a picture of that, too!! That, and I wanted to show off my purse again... I mean, who can blame me?? It is a ridiculously fabulous purse after all :-)
So, yeah... That's been my day :-) Like I said, it's been a much better day than yesterday, which is exactly what I needed. I'm off to relax a bit before hitting the hay, so until I post again (hopefully tomorrow at some point?)... Stay fabulous, my fellow fashionistas :-) Ciao!!
