Hey!! Look who's all caught up!! Yay!! My day today was ridiculous. Well, ok, the work part of my day was ridiculous. I worked 9-6, and I kid you not, all of the crazy and annoying people got together and decided to come into Plato's today. I literally wanted to severely hurt more than a couple of people today, and I am NOT a violent person. One lady in particular was the worst. She comes in all the time, grabs a ton of clearance merchandise, tries it all on, and buys almost all of it. Nothing too abnormal, right? Wrong. Everytime she's come in when I've been working, I've ended up having to help her and ring her up, and she won't go to anyone else but me.
So today she comes in, goes straight to the clearance, grabs a bunch of stuff (about 40 items or so), asks for a bin to put them in, goes into the fitting room with ALL of said items (the limit is 6 items, in case you were wondering), spends a good 30 minutes to an hour trying things on, comes back out, and starts complaining that the fitting room door got grease stains on her dress when she draped it over the door. And when I say complaining, I mean following me around the store telling me all about it and how it's her favorite dress and asking me what can be done about it. After a good 15 minutes of doing this, she finally comes up to me as I'm working on a bag of clothing someone had brought in to sell to ask me if she can have some kind of monetary reimbursement for her ruined dress that A) I had never seen draped over the door, B) was one of the ugliest dresses I've seen, and C) had little wet spots around each tiny grease stain. These little wet spots looked like water that had been dabbed into the grease stains to try and get the grease out, and I would like to point out that there's no way she would've had access to water in our store since she didn't have a bag or any kind of beverage and since our store doesn't have a public bathroom. Chances are her dress was already stained before she came into the store.
Anyways, back to my story: so she asks me if she can have some kind of monetary reimbursement for her "ruined" dress, and I told her that I would have to ask my store manager. She then follows me to the back room door where I ask m boss what to do. He says we can take $5 off of her total purchase. When I tell her this, she's ok with that, but not even 2 minutes later, she comes up to me looking like she's about to cry and asks if we can do $10 off because $5 off is too low. At this point, my manager comes up to her and tells her we can only do $5 while I go to work on another buy that came in.
After a coue of minutes, the lady gets done taking to my boss, grabs the bin of stuff she wants to buy, brings it over to the counter where I'm going through a buy, sets it down in front of me, and tells me that she's ready to check out. Since I'm in the middle of a buy, another key holder comes up to the lady and tells her that she can help her on another register. The lady says she wants me to help her and insists on waiting for me to finish what I'm doing even after the key holder firmly states that I'm unavailable and won't be able to ring her up. Why you ask? Because I "always" ring her up, and she doesn't want anyone else to help her. This lady literally stood in front of me for a good 5 minutes, watching and waiting for me to finish my buy. The key holder had another employee take over my buy so I could just ring the lady up. Once I rang everything up (36 items that were on clearance for $1) and took off $5 from the total, she had the balls to question her $32.80 total since she supposedly only had 32 items. Not even. I was so done with her by that point. She the commenced to count out piles of $1 bills on the counter, watch me count them, and then tell me she wants to double check how many they were. OMFG I was so close to losing it on her, I kid you not.
I finally finish ringing her up, and as she's leaving the store, this crazy lady starts complaining about her ruined dress again. Swear to God, I'm not even kidding. She was literally that ridiculous. And did I mention that this all went down in the last hour or so of my shift and that I was still ringing her up when I only had 15 minutes left before my shift was over? Yeah... Way to end my shift on a bad note. I really hope I don't have to deal with her again, but I probably will have to since she comes in all of the time.
Ok, so now onto my outfit: I wore a cream American Eagle dress (Plato's $12) with a light wash Highway Jeans denim vest (Plato's $5) and a gold braided belt. So freaking fabulous, it's not even funny :-) I mean, I looked so awesome, right?!?! Right!! I was (and still am) so totally in love with this outfit, I don't know if you could tell or not... ;-)
I went with my nude Mossimo flats (Plato's $6) so I wouldn't draw too much attention away from the main parts of my outfit ;-) That, and they're not only comfy, but they also matched the bottom half of my dress to a "T"!! Win!!
I got home from work, relaxed with my husband, and then watched some Comedy Central until about 10:45 or so when I got ready for bed. Since I'm super tired from my ridiculous day, I'm going to hit the hay ASAP. So until tomorrow... Stay freaking fabulous :-) Ciao!!
