But I Wanted to Lay Out...

Day 157

Hola!! So, I had these great plans for laying out and being productive, but... the weather wasn't allowing for the productiveness like I wanted it to (too cloudy), and I decided that sleeping in was ideal apparently :-P Once I got up and got ready, Adam and I made a much-needed Target run for some groceries. Thank goodness, too, because I'm not very sure how much longer we would've lasted had we not gone to Target. True story.

For the first part of my day (when it was warmer outside) I wore a fabulous black-and-white-patterend Daytrip tank top that has a lace back (about $16 after discount) over a plain white camisole. This tank top was in the layaway I paid off yesterday, and I LOVE IT!! I went with my cropped American Eagle holey skinny jeans, yet again, because they're super comfy. I do love them, especially since they were on sale for only $25 when I bought them :-)

Similar American Eagle cropped/holey jegging
The pattern on this tank top is super fabulous, by the way :-)

And then the back of this tank top is super, super fabulous :-)

SO FREAKING FABULOUS!!
I went with my teal Mossimo pointy-toed flats that have little holes in the ($5 on clearance) to add some color. Yeah, I wear them a lot... I know. I just love them to pieces!!

Once we got home from Target, Adam and I relaxed for a bit before deciding to go to The Wind Rises movie that just came out. I had to change since it was a bit cooler outside, so I went with my mint green Nollie shirt that has giraffes on it ($15 at PacSun) with a white Converse One Star jacket ($25 on sale at Target) and a white BKE infinity scarf that has yellow mustaches on it (about $10 after discount). The mix of patterns was pretty sweet, if I do say so myself :-) And in case you couldn't tell, I kept my jeans the same.

Moustaches and giraffes in the same outfit means complete awesomeness, in case you were wondering :-)

For shoes, I decided to go with my black Cooperative flats that I had gotten for like $8 at Plato's. I do love them quite a bit :-)

The movie was really, really good. I highly recommend going to it, for sure. Once the movie was over, Adam and I went home to just relax until bed. It was a pretty great night :-) I have to go, so until the next time... Stay fabulous and forever trending, my fellow fashionistas!! Ciao!!

"Drop it like its yacht!"

Day #157

Happy Friday!!!!!!!

Today, I worked after class, just for a couple hours, and then I went to the SigEp house to get ready for ADPi date night. Our theme this date night was "Drop it like its Yacht." Cute, huh?! :)  I WAS - "was" being the key word - real excited, until date night was cancelled. -_-

So basically, the first bus of girls and their dates took off for the venue, and so while they were on their way, the second and third busses of girls were starting to show up to the house to get ready to load the bus next. We had been waiting for quite a long time, and then one of our executive committee members announced that date night had been cancelled. The bus driver didn't feel comfortable driving with the bad road and weather conditions, and our security guards never showed up to the venue, so no one, no matter if they were of legal age or not, would be able to drink there. LAME. So yeah, the night was kind of a bust at that point. :P

Then a few of Gage's fraternity brothers came up with the idea to just have people over to the SigEp house to hang out, so we ended up doing that for the night instead, which I was actually real okay with! Honestly, I wasn't even in the mood to go really, so it all worked out. :)

I posted a picture of my "yachting" outfit below the pictures of my outfit of the day! Enjoy. :)

A Day Off :-)

Day 156

Hey!! Today was a pretty productive day, if I do say so myself. Not only that, but the weather was pretty nice, sunny and only slightly windy/chilly. Not complaining about the slightly chilly part since the sun was out and shining :-) I slept in a little bit, got up, got ready, and then headed on out to this Ford dealership to have our Focus looked at (the AC is broken). Then, Adam and I went to the mall so I could get my new schedule, pay off my layaway, and eat dinner at BJ's Restaurant.

For this productive day off, I wore a golden yellow Banana Republic cardigan ($20 at an outlet) over a gray patterned Daytrip pleated tank top ($15 on sale online) with a white camisole underneath to prevent too much showing. I loved this top combo, and then when I paired it with my cropped American Eagle holey skinny jeans ($25 on sale), I loved it even more :-)

The pattern on this tank top is really cool. It kind of looks like paint splatters. I really like the pleating on it since it's still fitted at the top while flowing away from my midsection towards the bottom. Super flattering :-)

I went went with the gray Aldo boots my husband got me for our wedding anniversary because I love them, they look fabulous with my outfit, they're super comfy, and they're just flat out beautiful :-)

Dinner at BJ's Restaurant was really yummy (I had buttermilk fried chicken), and after dinner, Adam and I went to pick up the Focus since they got done with it super fast, and then went drove home (separately, of course) to relax for the rest of the night. It was a pretty great day and night, if I do say so myself :-)

I have to get going, so until the next time... Stay fabulous!! Ciao!!

#cantstopwontstop being so fabulous.

Day #156

OHEMGEE WHY AM I SO HAWT?! ;) haha

As you can see, I was real feeling my look today! I woke up in enough time to look cute for class today, whoop whoop, so that was a great feeling. I had to work at noon, so right after class, so it actually worked out perfectly that I was able to get ready before class so all I needed to do between class and work was eat and make sure I had everything packed and ready for the rest of the day. :)

Work was good. I did some more training, but a little more so on the sales floor kind of stuff. I'm getting acquainted with the store and my coworkers, which is good, and it's all getting easier each day. I was told today that Saturday I will be on my own on the sales floor a little more, so I'm excited for the weekend! :)

Come love my outfit with me. ;)

"I hate mornings."

Day #155

THE STRUGGLE WAS SO REAL THIS MORNING. I COULD NOT STAY AWAKE TO SAVE MY LIFE AND SCIENCE AT 8 IN THE MORNING SEEMED TO DRAG ON FOREVERRRRRRRRRR. UGH. #STRUGGLEBUS

Sorry for all the "CAPS" but like, it was necessary. lol

Today was so exhausting for some reason, so it actually worked out perfectly that my sweater was the Grumpy Cat saying "I hate mornings." haha  Also, my top is definitely a pajama top, but like whatever. I'm real over it and no one knew....or just no one said anything to me about it....who cares. :P  I was comfy and that's all that really matters! :)

Dreary Wednesday

Day 155

Hey guys!! So, the weather today was super depressing, and my stomach decided that it wanted to act up this morning, which made my day not-so-great. Fun stuff. I didn't go to my 11-12:30 because of my stomach, but when I woke up to get ready for my 2-3:30 class, my stomach did feel a ton better. I got up, got ready, and made the 45 minute drive to campus.

Once I got on-campus and went to park my car in the parking garage, I discovered that everyone and their mother was using the garage. I literally had to park on the top floor, which is the 7th floor. Not cool. Yeah... I guess you could say that my day just wasn't going my way.

My 2-3:30 class was boring, yet again, due to a large amount of note-taking. After class, I spent my two and a half hour break relaxing and catching up on random homework. My 6-9 class was interesting and entertaining since we got to do a bunch of different science-related activities, but... I do feel like it was a waste of time. This class (Science for All Students) is literally about how to teach science to students. We don't take notes, we don't have any tests, we haven't needed the book for the class, and we literally spend the entire time doing random activities and talking about common-sense-type stuff. I'm not even kidding.

For my not-so-great Wednesday, I wore a cream see-through, loose-fitting American Eagle top (about $15 on sale) with a dark tan camisole underneath and a teal holey BKE infinity scarf (about $10 after discount). I thought it looked pretty cute, and then I added my cropped American Eagle holey skinny jeans ($25 on sale), and I was like "LOVE IT!!"

I then went with my caramel brown Breckelle's combat boots!! They were $12 at Plato's, and I love them a lot :-) I've discovered that cuffing my jeans and having them sit above the top of my boots looks really, really fabulous. Just saying ;-)

Once class was over, I went home, ate a bowl of cereal, did some homework, and read the second book in my Outlander series. Nothing too exciting. I've got to go, so until the next time... Stay fabulous, my fellow fashionistas!! Ciao!!

First day on the job!

Day #154

Today began my first day at work! YAY! :) I got to actually go out on the sales floor, and learn a little more about the job. Super exciting!

I had bought a few items after my first night of being there (orientation), so I wore one of the new tops today. Not to toot my own horn or anything, but I looked AMAZING today! I felt so good about myself and my outfit all day. It was great. :)

Work went really well! I had a lot of fun and I can't wait to actually get to be able to handle customers!

Here's what I wore!

Finally Working Again

Day 154

Hey!! So, guess who was finally able to work again?! This girl!! I had a 9:30-4 shift that went surprisingly well. I'm not sure where I ended at for my sales, but I have a pretty good feeling that I was fairly close to my $800 sales goal, which is good :-) I was also able to put some items on layaway for like $30 that I plan on paying off later in the week. You know, after I get paid :-P

For work, I wore an off white Daytrip tank top that has metallic gold chevron stripes on it (about $18 after discount) under a coral BKE Red cropped vest (about $16 after discount). Yeah, I know... It was only two layers and not three, but I thought it looked pretty cute :-) I went with my dark wash Daytrip skinny jeans (about $30 after discount) since they're really comfy.

For shoes, I went with my brown Not Rated studded boots (about $45 after discount) because, well... I love them :-) They're just so freaking fabulous!! I put my off-white boots socks underneath to add some additional interest to my outfit (about $6 or $7 after discount).

Once I got home from work, I changed into a black-and-white tribal-printed H&M tank top ($5 on sale) and a dark teal Charlotte Russe cardigan (like $12 on sale). COMFY!! I really didn't do much for the rest of the day, other than relaxing with Adam. Like, I didn't even leave the apartment once I got home. True story :-P It was nice to relax, though, since I had been on my feet  for my entire work shift. Nothing too special happened at any point. Adam and I had leftovers, watched the new How I Met Your Mother episode, and just enjoyed doing nothing for the rest of the night. I have to get going, so until the next time... Stay fabulous, my lovelies!! Ciao!!

I love me some baseball tees!

Day #153

Saturday night, at DLC, there was this thing called "t-shirt exchange" that took place. Basically, you bring old ADPi tops, or ones you had left over from Bid Day, and you run around this room for fifteen minutes trading shirts with other ADPis. Well, I ended up with this cute baseball tee, that you can see below, and it's ADORABLE! On the back it says "In a League of Their Own". :)

Today was an okay day. I went to classes, did homework, and then ended my night with Zumba. :)

P.S. - sorry for the blurry picture! I didn't realize it was blurry until I had already uploaded it, and I don't really feel like retaking a picture. :P Sorry bout it. lol

Merh Mondays

Day 153

Hi!! I know I've said this before, but I totally am not a fan of Mondays, especially when they're full of school-related activities. Normally, my day would start with me heading off to field experience at 7:45, but this morning, my stomach decided to pitch a fit and cause me some not-so-great vibes. So, yeah... I definitely didn't go to my field experience :-P

My first class from 11-12:30 was OK. We just took a bunch of notes. Once my class finished, I spent the next hour and a half just doing homework. Fun stuff, right?! My second class from 2-3:30 was boring, as usual, and full of note-taking. After that class ended, I spent the next two and a half hours doing even more homework. Yuck. My last class from 6-9 was also note-filled, but not quite as boring. However, taking notes and doing homework all day is definitely not ideal. Like I said, I don't like Mondays.

For my school-filled day, I wore a green printed no name tank top ($35 from a boutique in Maine), a tan Daytrip lace vest ($10 from Vinted), and a navy H&M cardigan ($6ish from Plato's). I kind of felt like doing a bunch of neutrally-colored items that had some interesting aspects to them, and I feel like it turned out really well :-) For jeans, I wore my basic pair of dark wash American Eagle skinnies ($35) since they're really comfy.

For shoes, I wore a brown pair of Y Not! flats that I bought from Payless for like $8 years and years ago. They're so comfy!! And, they're super freaking cute :-)

After my last class finished, I drove home, ate a bowl of cereal, and then did even more homework until going to bed. Not a very fun day, overall. Oh well... At least I got a ton of homework done, which is good, right?! Anyways... I've got to head out, so until the next time... Stay fabulous, my fellow fashionistas!! Ciao!!

Is it time to go home yet?

Day #152

I don't know why, but I got real homesick last night! That plus the lack of sleep and rest put me in a not so pleasant mood today. I wasn't rude or anything, I was just real anxious to get home!

My chapter ending up earning twelve of the fifteen ribbon awards, which was awesome, and the ride home wasn't too bad. It actually seemed to go pretty fast! I did homework, slept a little, and caught up on my gossip and what not. lol :)

I could not have been happier to be home! I missed sleeping in my own room, by MYSELF, and not having to share my space to get ready. lol  Plus, I couldn't handle anymore estrogen and "woohing" without exploding. Too. Much. :P haha  But really though.

Sleeping In on a Sunday :-)

Day 152

Hey!! So, Adam and I had a day off together and thought it would be a good idea to sleep in a bit... AND IT TOTALLY WAS A GOOD IDEA :-) I love sleeping in, in case you couldn't tell, and sleeping in with Adam makes it even better. True story. After getting up and getting ready for the day, Adam and I did some random errand-running, again, and then I settled in to do our taxes via TurboTax. Fun, right ;-)

Today, I wore a tan Anthropologie dress that has white sparrows all over it. SO CUTE!! I had bought it off of eBay years ago for like $30 or so, and I've loved it ever since :-)

Similar dress from ModCloth
I added a bright yellow skinny belt to add some color and give some definition to my waist that I've literally had for forever. I SO LOVE IT!!

And just because I felt like adding some more color, I wore my teal Mossimo pointy-toed flats that have little holes in them. They were like $4 on clearance at Target a while ago. Something about teal, bright yellow, and tan/white together just makes me super happy :-)

Once I got our taxes done, Adam and I just relaxed until bed. Nothing too exciting happening here, but it's all good :-) I've got to get going, so until the next time... Stay fabulous!! Ciao!!

It's gonna be a long day...

Day #151

Day one of DLC. That means a lot of information, long seminars, and being surrounded by hundreds of other ADPi's all day long. Ugh. :P lol

Today was seriously such a long day! I sat through a three-hour seminar, with about an hour break included for lunch, where I learned more about my position, and I was able to ask questions or voice any concerns I had about being the ARC. I learned so much that I thought my head was going to explode! But it was good at the same time. :)

Here's what I wore all day! :)

P.S. - sorry the picture is a little blurry!

Mellow Mushroom & Toasted Marshmellows

Day 151

Hi!! So, I kind of ended up sleeping in again today... But I was just really, really tired from staying up late. It happens. Once I did get up and get ready, Adam and I went to the mall so I could pick up my new schedule for work, ran some other random errands, and then went back home to relax for a bit before dinner. Fun stuff :-P

Today, I wore a super cute no name cream dress that I had bought from Plato's for like $12 or so a while back. I LOVE this dress!! True story :-)

Similar dress
Then, to emphasize my waist, I added a lighter green genuine leather Coach belt. Now, the amazing thing about this belt is that I found it at Plato's, in the clearance area, for $1. Yeah, you heard right... A real Coach belt for $1?? That's unheard of!! I obviously jumped on that right away.

Coach belt (from Etsy.com)
I also went with my chevron-striped pair of Old Navy pointy-toed flats that I had bought on sale for like $8 or so. I know I wear them a lot, but it's because they just so happen to go with a lot of my outfits while adding a cool print.

Old Nay flats (different site)
For dinner, Adam and I ended up going to this pizza place called the Mellow Mushroom, and it was REALLY good! They have thin crust pizzas where the outer edge is full like a thick crust pizza, which I love. We ended up building our own, with mozzarella, pepperoni, sausage, portabello mushrooms, caramelized onions, and sun-dried tomatoes. DELICIOUS!!

Oh yeah... Be jealous of our fireplace ;-)
After dinner, Adam and I came home, started a fire in our fireplace, made some s'mores, and watched the movie Hugo. IT WAS SO GOOD!! Once the movie was over, I Skyped with my family while Adam played his video game. It was a really great night, if I do say so myself :-) I've got to get going, so until the next time... Stay fabulous, my lovelies!! Ciao!!

DLC HERE I COME!

Day #150

This morning I left bright and early for Indianapolis, where DLC was being held for the weekend. I met at my chapter house before 8am, and we took off for Iowa City around 8:30 or so, to meet up with the Iowa City chapter - we were all riding in the same charter bus. It was a long seven hour bus ride, and I couldn't have been happier to be in Indianapolis!

I don't usually mind car rides, except that I had to share a seat, so I couldn't sleep or get comfy enough or do any homework, and then I didn't feel good after eating fast food. It wasn't the best of times.

Once we finally got to Indianapolis, it was nice. The weather was a little warmer, and the sun was out, which was a nice change from Cedar Falls. After we got to our rooms, we headed out for dinner as a chapter.

Here's what I wore to dinner!
