Oh my gosh: I DID IT!!! I have officially survived the 365 day outfit challenge! Wahoo! :)

Let me just say thank you to everyone who has supported Kassy and I on this blog, and a thank you to those of you who visited our blog. I know it's not the most exciting, or really top notch, but it was just a great way for Kassy and I to utilize the fabrics that make up our closets.

Today I tried a fun camo pant/legging, with my new denim jacket, a basic black long sleeve, and black combat boots. Check it out! (for the last time)

1 DAY: So Close I Can Taste It!

Day #364

I have one more day after today ends. It's bittersweet...

For the past 364 days, this blog has been a constant. I've expanded my wardrobe because of it, and I've also learned how to wear pieces in my closet differently than ever before. On the other hand, taking a picture every single day for a year and telling where every piece is from can get quite annoying and bothersome; therefore, bittersweet.

Today was a totally casual day. I was overly tired, but definitely in the mood for some shopping! So I did just that. :)

I'm off to bed now! Can't wait to make my last post tomorrow. :)

2 DAYS: Finally!

Day #363

People finally noticed today that I have a sparkly diamond ring on my finger!!! It's about darn time.

Not that I'm begging for the attention or anything, but really people? Are you really all that oblivious? My lanta...:P

Today was a pretty splendid day! I feel like I got a lot accomplished, and I actually did! I worked ahead in my classes, and I got some stuff organized and figured out for the wedding. Go me! :)

I did some layering today; a basic long sleeve, a denim vest, and a scarf. It was comfy and cute, if I might say so myself!

With only two days left of the outfit challenge, I'm excited to get my last few ensembles put together, and see what I can really do with my well-rounded wardrobe!

3 DAYS: Do You Like My Outfit Meow?

Day #362

Hanging out with Gage's aunt, uncle, and cousins is always fun! His aunt and uncle have four kids, who are all crazy and loud just like my sisters and I, so I have no troubles getting along with them! :)

We had a delicious meal, prepared and cooked by his aunt, and we ended up hanging around their place for a few hours after lunch, catching up on life and, of course, discussing wedding plans and ideas.

I dreaded leaving there. That meant that Gage was just a few short hours away from leaving to back to Ames, and that I had my chapter meeting coming up. Right, like I want to go to my sorority meeting right after saying goodbye to Gage for another month or so. :(

On a happier note, Gage and I were sort of matching today. :)  He had on his cat sweater that I bought him for Christmas, and I wore my jaguar sweater that I got for Christmas from my parents. I guess you could say we're both a bunch of cat-loving freaks. <3

4 Days: Bye-bye TeeTee

Day #361

Today is a sad day.

Katy moved to Des Moines today- which is about two hours away-, where she will be living for the next thirteen months or so for school. She starts in a little over a week at the Aveda Institute for cosmetology. I know she'll be amazing at doing hair, but I'm gonna miss having her around the house. :(

Thank God Gage is in town this weekend, so I at least have him to keep me busy and to temporarily distract me in the first couple days of Katy being out of the house.

My whole family went with to move Katy to Des Moines, while I worked all day and Gage did homework at my house. The only positive to being left behind was that Gage and I could actually finally have some sort of alone time as a newly engaged couple. That was glorious. :)

After we made pizza, did some homework, and watched a movie, it was time for bed. We have plans to go to his aunt and uncle's for lunch tomorrow after visiting his mom, so it's going to be a somewhat early morning. Off to bed we go!

5 DAYS: Cloud 9

Day #360

I woke up this morning with this weird piece of jewelry on my hand....huh. ;)  No worries, it's my ring! I cannot believe that I am engaged. I'm so shocked that I've actually made it to this point in my life.

All through high school I was so certain that I wouldn't be getting married for a very long time, or even at all; I had last almost all hope in love and romance. But then, my sweet Gage came into my life and swept me off my feet. :) I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with him!

No one in my class even noticed my ring, so I was little bummed, but my coworkers were ALL OVER IT when I went into work later in the day. It's nice to know I always have my coworkers to be there for me when all else fails. ;) lol

Once I get off work, I plan on spending time with my new fiance, enjoying every moment we have together before he leaves town for Ames. :)

6 DAYS: Holy Crap, I'm EnGAGEd!

Day #359

As you probably gathered by the title of this post, I got engaged tonight!!! :)

I knew that Gage was coming into town, but I didn't know that I was going to be getting a proposal and a gorgeous ring along with it! My lucky day. :)

I was picked up by my sister Morgan to hang out for the afternoon, after which she drug me to our sorority house to be serenaded by Gage's fraternity. I wasn't really thinking I was going to go, so by her picking me up, I had no choice since she was my ride. :P

I had been wearing my lazy college attire for most of the day, which includes athletic shorts, a t-shirt, and tennis shoes, but Morgan had me change before we left my house into the outfit I was wearing out to Sakura that night when Gage arrived into town.

During the serenade, his fraternity brothers sang two songs, and at the end of the second one, they got down on their knees, and long behold! Gage was standing behind the big group of them. He called me down off the porch to where he was, gave a small speech, and then followed his brothers' leads by getting down on his knee, and asking me to marry him. Of course I said "yes!" :)

After all of the congratulating and celebrating, we went out to our planned dinner date at Sakura, where I obviously showed off my new ring (which is the most beautiful piece of jewelry I own). It was a very beautiful night. :)

7 DAYS: Hump Day- It's Casual

Day #358

Hello Hump Day; we meet again.

Today was another day full of graphics, plaids, and statement necklaces- in case you couldn't tell, those are really big key items at maurices right now. To make it a little more casual, however, I threw on some leggings and my "look-alike" TOMS. Very comfy!

Work was pretty swell tonight; nothing too out of the ordinary or exciting happened, but I did enjoy working with Carey, as always. Hopefully your night was more exciting than mine!

8 DAYS: Palazzo Crazy

2 MORE DAYS UNTIL GAGE COMES INTO TOWN! I'm so excited to see him!!! :)

Today I was feeling the need to glam up! I pulled out my burgundy Lauren Conrad blazer to pair with a basic cotton tee, heeled Steve Madden booties, and my new palazzo pants. Very trendy, if I may say!

These soft pants are one of the best things ever created in the world. They're dressy enough to wear to work, casual enough for the every day wear, and they're very lightweight and comfy. Loving every aspect of them!

9 DAYS: Pride Cry!

Day #356

Tonight was Pride Cry, kicking off Homecoming Week! Wooh! :)

Unfortunately for the men of Pi Kappa Alpha and the women of Alpha Delta Pi, we did not succeed in making it to finals on Friday...and as much of a bummer as that is, after all of the stress, hard work, and dedication, I'm kind of relieved that we didn't make it...I've been burnt out for the last couple of weeks and Gage is coming to town this weekend so it gives me more time with him and more time to relax. (Sorry bout it)

I didn't have to work today, but I broke out my maurices ensembles anyways! A fun graphic, plus a patterned soft pant, AND a statement necklace: MY WEAKNESSES. I love getting to play around with wild pieces in my wardrobe and show others- in and outside of work- how to wear them as well! :)
