It's Getting Hot In Here, So Take...More Clothes To The Fitting Rooms!

Day #249

Oh my goodness, I'm so glad this day is finally coming to an end! It's been a long one. :P

It was actually a pretty good day, other than being long. I had some great sales at work, the weather was nice for the most part, and I looked super cute! :)  Plus, I got to see Gage for a few hours after work, and it was just the two of us. We ended up watching "The Switch," with Jennifer Aniston and Jason Bateman, and "Sweet Home Alabama." Two great movies!

Work was so crazy busy! It was great for getting good sales, but it was exhausting! I don't think it would have been quite as exhausting if the air conditioning had been working properly in the store. It was super muggy and warm inside. :P

Not much went on today, and I'm ready to catch some Zzzz's! Have a lovely night! :)

Work... Then Party :-)

Day 249

Why hello!! I worked yet another 9:40-3 opening Accessories shift at Dillard's today that was incredibly slow, and since we had a lot of people working during this slowness, I was able to leave a hour early to A) save on my hours as I had gone over them by about an hour throughout my last few shifts and B) to allow me to get home early enough to make Adam and I's plans happen. What were those plans you ask? Well, I'll get to that in a second. But first, my work outfit: a cream no name dress from Plato's Closet ($12) under a dark teal Mossmio blazer ($25 on sale). Fabulous combination :-)

Mossimo blazer (different site)
I also added a Natasha statement necklace I had bought the previous day from Dillard's. It was $26 on sale, and it's super fabulous!!

Similar statement necklace
For shoes, I went with the nude ShoeDazzle pumps that I love so much ($40).

Similar nude pumps
I ended up changing into my nude Mossimo flats ($6 from Plato's) once my feet started hurting.

Mossimo Flats
OK, so after work, I came home, changed my outfit a bit, packed, and then left with Adam for the 2 hour drive to Orlando for his cousin's high school graduation party. AKA our plan for after I got off of work. My slightly changed outfit consisted of the same dress with a bright yellow skinny belt. Nice enough for a party but still comfy enough for a 2 hour drive.

Similar dress
I also wore this dress to work
I do love the top of this dress as the detailing is so unique. It's a shame that I can't figure out the brand, though, to provide a link to this exact dress. Oh well.

Similar yellow belt from Buckle
For shoes, I decided to go with the simple R2 sandals that I had bought from Buckle. They're $40. Totally worth it since they literally go with everything.

R2 sandal
We ended up getting to the party around 5pm despite the ridiculous amounts of rain that happened on the way there. The party itself was really fun, and it gave Adam the opportunity to spend some time with part of his family before he leaves for his deployment. We hadn't planned on staying over, but we did pack some overnight stuff just in case. It's a good thing we did because by the time we were thinking about driving home, it was super late and we were both really tired.

I'm going to head out, so until the next time... Stay fabulous, my lovelies!! Ciao!!

Successful Days Are The Best Kind Of Days

Day #248

Today wasn't too shabby! I got to sleep in a little bit, it was beautiful outside, and I got to spend the rest of my day with Gage (and my sisters)!

Work was kind of dull. The morning was busy, and then right around 1 it slowed down. There weren't enough customers for all of the girls working, which was a bummer. We ended up zoning, so I was outside first, doing sidewalk sales, and then I went to dressing rooms, and ended up at the register before going home for the day. I worked a whole seven hours, but I was really hoping that I would get let go at least an hour early with the lack of sales and what not. Oh well. Good money. :)

After I got off work I went over to the SigEp house. Gage had gotten us burritos from Pancheros, since he works there, so we got to eat dinner together and just relax for a little while. A little after 6pm we headed to my house, where we watched "Date Movie"- pretty funny- and the Chicago Blackhawks game. During the last intermission we went to Coldstone and Pancheros with Katy and Kimmy, and stayed at Panch until the game was over. In case you weren't aware, the Blackhawks won!!! :)

All in all, it was a good day! :)

Here's the dress I wore at work!

I Just Love Heels Way Too Much

Day 248

Hello there!! I had another 9:45-3 opening Accessories shift at Dillard's today, and it was SO slow. For real. It was a huge struggle to get sales. Grr. But at least my outfit was completely fabulous, causing me to get a large amount of compliments relating to it throughout my shift. Score!! My outfit consisted of a long-sleeved Dulcie black lace shirt ($35 or so on sale) with a tan camisole underneath and my black Daytrip jeggings (originally $50). Yeah, it was a lot of black, but that does happen sometimes when I have to dress up for work. True story.

My Daytrip jegging
This black lace top is AMAZING!! The first time I saw it, I knew I just HAD to have it!! True story.

Dolcie top (different top)
I decided to add another bit of fabulousness to my outfit by wearing the pair of peacock-feather-printed ModCloth heels that I wore to my wedding. They were $55, which is kind of a lot for a pair of shoes in my world, but they were 100% worth it.

ModCloth heel
After work, I came home, changed into a more comfortable non-work outfit, and then went out to eat at The Pub with Adam before going to see Maleficent in theaters. Can you say "Date Night"?! I love me some date nights with my love :-) My second outfit of the day consisted of a teal Wurl top that has white lace detailing on the front ($6 from Plato's) and my basic American Eagle dark wash skinny jeans ($35). Cute yet super comfy.

Similar American Eagle skinnies
I love the white lace detailing on the front of this shirt. It's so unique and fabulous :-)

Very different lace front top
I decided to wear my pointy-toed chevron-printed Old Navy flats ($8 or so on sale) to add some more color and fun to my outfit. Great idea, right?! Right.

Old Nay flats (different site)
Dinner at The Pub was delicious, as always, and I did really like Maleficent. Adam didn't care for it very much, but I did. Adam's way more picky in regards to movies/music/games/TV shows/etc than I am, so it's not a big surprise that he didn't particularly like the movie. Oh well. I liked it a lot :-)

After the movie, Adam and I came home to relax for the rest of the night. It was a great date night followed by a great relaxation. LOVE IT!! I'm going to continue relaxing with my love, so until the next time... Stay fabulous, my lovelies!! Ciao!!

Have I Mentioned My Feet Hurt?

Day 247

Hi!! I got lucky with a 9:45-3 opening Accessories shift at Dillard's today, which I will never complain about. I would much rather open so I can spend more time with Adam, like I've stated previously. The shift itself went OK, even though my sales kind of sucked a bit. The store, and my department specifically, was super slow. It happens. My work outfit was pretty freaking fabulous today, if I do say so myself. It consisted of a white BKE Red top that has lace sleeves ($25 originally) with a patterned BKE infinity scarf ($15 originally) and the same mint green Pins and Needles pencil skirt ($2 on clearance from Plato's Closet) that I wore yesterday. I LOVE this combo!!

Somewhat similar Urban Outfitters skirt
This is my super cute infinity scarf. The pattern on it is so unique, which is why I couldn't say no to buying it :-P

BKE scarf
The sleeves on my top are so pretty. I love the delicate-looking lace. Or any kind of lace detailing, if we're being honest here. True story :-P

BKE Red top
For shoes, I started off with a nude pair of ShoeDazzle pumps ($40) that are super comfortable, but...

Similar nude pumps
My feet did start hurting after a few hours, so I changed into the nude pair of Mossimo flats ($6 from Plato's Closet) that I brought with me as a backup option.

Mossimo Flats
After work, I changed into a non-work outfit so Adam and I could go out to eat at Bella's Italian Cafe with his grandparents who are town for today and part of tomorrow before heading down to Orlando for Adam's cousin's high school graduation. This outfit consisted of a blue WallpapHER top that has birds on it and a scalloped hem at the bottom ($30 or so from Van Maur) and my basic pair of American Eagle dark wash skinny jeans ($35).

Similar American Eagle skinnies
See the fabulous scalloped hem?! I LOVE IT!!

WallpapHER top (different website)
I decided to mix prints today and wear my pointy-toed chevron-striped Old Navy flats ($8 or so on sale), and I have to say, I think mixing prints was a good idea. A bit risky, yeah, but still overall a good idea :-)

Old Nay flats (different site)
Dinner with Adam's grandparents went fabulously well. I really enjoy spending time with them, that's for sure :-) We ended up being at the restaurant for several hours just enjoying each other's company while eating and drinking pure deliciousness. Good times!!

After that, Adam and I went home to relax while his grandparents went back to their hotel. I love relaxing after a work dray, that's for sure. Absolutely love it. I'm going to continue doing so with Adam, so until the next time... Stay fabulous and forever trending, my fellow fashionistas!! Ciao!!

Dinner And A Movie With My Boyff

Day #247

GOOD MORNING! :)

I was up bright and early this morning, at 4:30am, and I'm honestly not sure how I'm functioning! I have quite a lot of energy right now, but I have a feeling it's going to fade fast throughout the day. I mean, I'm only running on two hours of sleep and I did an intense workout. Yikes. :P

I was going to take my car into my dealership for a car wash and interior cleaning, but when I called their office, I was informed that they are not doing detailing and cleaning at the moment. I have to wait a couple weeks. Ugh. I'm not a fan of waiting...

I have a healthy dose of motivation right now, and I hope it stays! I was going to go to the mall in Waterloo after I got my car cleaned, but I'm not too sure when if I still want to now. I was only going to go shopping if my car was able to get pampered. My baby, Krull,- yes, it's Krull as in "Krull The Warrior King" from "How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days"- needs a good "spa" day.

Gage and I have dinner plans later tonight, at a nice restaurant called The Brown Bottle, and then a movie afterwards. As of now, we're going to try to see "The Neighbors," but we'll see. :)

It's a beautiful day outside, so I don't want to waste it sitting in front of a computer all day! I hope you don't do that either! :)

Full Body Massage Anyone?

Day #246

I was in so much pain when I woke up this morning! My arms and legs are definitely feeling the workout from Monday, and for some crazy reason, I'm going back in the morning. :P

I got 13 hours of sleep last, and that felt amazing! I needed it. BADLY.

Gage and I both have Wednesdays off from work, so I went over to the SigEp house for lunch. We had Hamburger Helper, which was super delicious, and then we watched "The Croods" on Netflix. Such a cute movie! I definitely recommend it! :)  We weren't able to finish it before I had to leave to pick up Kimmy from school, unfortunately.

Before getting Kimmy, we stopped to get some ice cream. Because Katy had a doctor's appointment, in which my mom was going to, I had to get Kimmy from school and then watch the last two daycare kids. Once one of the two left, I had the other one, Liam, sit down and watch the last 20 minutes of the movie with Gage and I. I'd like to think he enjoyed it. :)

I dropped Gage back off at SigEp before eating dinner with Katy- we got Taco Bell. Next for the night was Gage's softball game, in which he plays on a team with his fraternity brothers. They did end up losing, but Gage got on base both times he hit and caught some good fly balls. :)

I plan on spending the rest of the night relaxing and watching my Bravo shows that I've been missing out on lately. It's going to be another great night of relaxation, and that's exactly what I need!

Below is my outfit for another day off of work!

Closing... Not Ideal

Day 246

Aloha!! I got to sleep in today since I had a 4-9:30 closing shift at Dillard's, and I loved it!! Sleeping in on a work day is one of the best things that can happen on a work day, for real. I had plenty of time to relax and get ready, and I was even able to see Adam for a bit before having to leave for work. My outfit for today consisted of a teal Moa Moa tunic ($35 or so from Dillard's) and my black Daytrip jeggings (about $35 or so after my former Buckle employee discount). Super comfy and still pretty fabulous.

My Daytrip jegging
What I love the most about my top is the little crocheted sleeves :-)

Moa Moa top
For shoes, I went with a pair of zebra pumps I had bought from a store in Iowa called Vanity for a whopping $10 on sale. They were the last pair and just happened to be my size. Score!!

Different zebra heels
I had brought my pointy-toed chevron-striped Old Navy flats ($8 or so on sale) just in case my feet started hurting. Good idea, right?!

Work was super slow, my sales were terrible, and I don't really enjoy closing. It's not that I won't close, it's just that I would rather open so I can spend more time with Adam before he leaves for deployment in the beginning of July. Oh well. Nothing much I can do about that.

After work, I came home, changed into PJ's, talked to Adam for a bit, ate a bowl of cereal, and then relaxed until bed. Very low key, and I loved it :-) I'm going to keep relaxing, so until the next time... Stay fabulous, my lovelies!! Ciao!!

I Love Being Lazy

Day 245

Hey!! Since I didn't have to work today, I decided to take advantage of my day off and be incredibly lazy all day long. It was great decision, by the way. I literally did nothing except watch Criminal Minds and other random stuff on TV. Be jealous ;-) The couch was my best friend today, and my outfit reflected my lazy lift. It consisted of a coral USFSP tee ($25 or so) and a holey pair of Gianni Bini jeans (also about $25 or so). Yup. Comfort was definitely the key here.

Similar USF v-neck

Adam was all about being lazy when he got home from work, so that's basically what we did. Yeah, we made dinner and watched a movie on TV, but that's the most we did :-P There's really nothing interesting to report for today. Sorry about it.

Oh well... I'm going to continue relaxing and being lazy, so until the next time... Stay fabulous, my fellow fashionistas!! Ciao!!

GTL, Minus The "T," And Possibly The "L"

Day #245

I was so not about this early morning life today.

After a long, slow day at work, and a late night with Gage, waking up at 4am was BRUTAL!

I signed up for workout classes with my parents at RocFit for next week, so this week I'm going to the free trial classes, kind of as a pre-workout preview, or so to speak. My dad was teaching today's class, so I woke up at 4 to leave the house by 4:30, so we could get to the gym in time for him to do the workout we would be doing during class. The whole morning seems like a huge blur, but I started waking up more once I did some online shopping through my phone, and then once class officially got started. Let me just add that my arms are real feeling it...

I had a dentist appointment after I dropped Kimmy off at school. I even managed to bounce over to Starbucks and get myself and Gage a beverage, since he works right next door. I'm so nice. :)

Once lunch was over, I went to relax in my room, and I ended up passing out! It was not my intention, rather I was just trying to recover from the long and hard morning I had just experienced. One minute I was watching an episode of "Sex and the City" and listening to the screaming tones of a baby, and the next thing I know, it had been an hour, the babies were fast asleep, and I had missed out on two and a half episodes. Oops!

I need to get some laundry done at some point. I'm trying to get myself to stop procrastinating...

The large piles of clothes on my floor are staring me down and begging me to wash them...and the weird thing is that I feel like the heaps, rather mounds, are seeming to grow by the minute. This should be interesting. (Someone please come check on me if I don't return tomorrow. I may have become consumed by Mt. Dirtyclothes.)

So anyways, here's what I wore after a long morning!

Work Again

Day 244

Hi!! I started off my day by working a 9:45-3 Accessories shift that went pretty well since I ended up making like $1700 in the short time I worked, so that's a good thing. I guess one could make the argument that I'm good at what I do, if that's really what one wants to do... ;-) For my rather productive work shift, I wore a short-sleeved Maurice's black blazer ($10 on sale) over a black-and-white Love Culture sleeveless top ($20 or so) with a mint green Pins and Needles an Urban Outfitters brand pencil skirt ($2 on clearance at Plato's Closet). It's so freaking fabulous!!

Similar Maurices blazer
The top underneath is white with a black lace-like pattern on it, and it's super cute. I bought it with my birthday money last year when my family was here :-)

Similar fit Love Culture top
I really love the zig-zag stitching on this pencil skirt. It makes the skirt different from other pencil skirts, and the fact that I got it for $2 on clearance from Plato's Closet is pretty fabulous :-)

Somewhat similar Urban Outfitters skirt
My skirt isn't stained... My phone keeps distorting the color :-/
I went with a pair of black American Eagle mary jane heels that I've had for many years. I think I had bought them from Payless for around $20 or so?? But it's been so long since I bought them that I just can't remember :-P

American Eagle heels (different site)
After work, I went home, changed into a comfy outfit, and then just relaxed for the rest of the night with Adam. This comfy outfit consisted of a plain white Mossmio tee ($8 or so) under a golden yellow Banana Republic cardigan ($20 from an outlet store) with a pair of mint green Copper Key shorts that have white elephants on them (Dillard's for $25). SO comfy!!

The white elephants on these shorts is the sole reason I bought them. I LOVE elephants!!

Different elephant print shorts
And again, my phone distorted the color... That's not a stain, I promise :-)
Relaxing for the rest of the night is a fantastic idea, so I'm going to continue doing that. Have a great night, and until the next time... Stay fabulous, my lovelies!! Ciao!!
