Day 255
Hey!! I had an opening shift at Dillard's today, which I was super grateful for. Opening means I get to spend the rest of the day with Adam, and that is ALWAYS a good thing. Especially when I know that we have less than a month together before he deploys... So, yeah, I guess you could say that I was very happy about opening today :-) Work actually went pretty well, making the beginning of my day even better.
For work, I wore a patterned Charlotte Russe peplum top ($20 or so) with my Daytrip jeggings from Buckle ($50). I kept it fairly simple in terms of how many pieces I wore because I just didn't feel like wearing a bunch of layers :-P
I added a cute statement necklace that I had bought from Dillard's. The brand was either
Anna and Ava or
Natasha. I can't remember which. All I can tell you is that I paid like $25 for it before my discount. It's super freaking cute, right?! Right.
After wearing heels for a few days, my feet started to hurt a bit, so I opted for my nude
Mossmio flats that I had bought from Plato's Closet for $6. They're SO comfy. I highly recommend getting a pair, even if you have to go to Target and pay full price for them (PS. Full price is still only like $20 or so).
After work, I changed quickly into a more casual outfit that consisted of a navy camisole, a white button-up
H&M shirt that has polka-dots ($5 or $10 on sale), and my favorite cropped
American Eagle holey skinny jeans ($25 on sale).
I think this top is super cute, and it fits me incredibly well. The only bad thing about it is that it's kind of see-through and that I can't button it up all the way due to two things that kind of get in the way... If you catch my drift :-P
I then added my teal pointy-toed
American Eagle flats ($7.50 on sale) for some color. I do love these flats, in case you couldn't tell.
The reason I had to change quick was because Adam and I were going to be "adventurous" and drive to St. Pete for an ad-libbed evening. We walked around the downtown area since there was a mini music festival thing going on, and then we ended up going to Jannis Live to watch an ACDC cover band that had a female lead singer. They were pretty darn good, if you ask me.
We went to bed somewhat late, but it was definitely a fun night :-) I'm going to head out now, so until the next time... Stay fabulous, my lovelies!! Ciao!!
