Hi!! Ok, so I was supposed to work an 11:45-6:30 Accessories shift at Dillard's today, but to be honest, I was just way too tired and in no shape to work all day, so I ended up calling in sick. Yeah, I know... Not the best idea ever. But I NEVER call in sick. EVER. The last time I did that, I was still working at Target, and that was over a year ago. So, I guess it's not a big deal??
Adam and I ended up leaving his aunt and uncle's place around 7:30am to go eat breakfast at a local diner before heading home. The diner was really yummy, for sure. Breakfast ended around 8:15, so Adam and I hit the road to go home. The drive itself wasn't too bad. We stopped by Starbucks on the way so I could get some iced coffee, and then I called Dillard's a little after 9 to tell them I was too sick to work. The rest of the drive was spent listening to music and getting in some quality time with Adam. Fun stuff :-)
Once we got home, I went back to bed for a few hours before finally showering and getting ready for the day. Adam and I decided to go to Jersey Mike's for lunch. Always a great idea :-) After that, we hit Target for some groceries and necessities, and then we went on home to relax for the rest of the day. My outfit consisted of a blue-and-white Old Navy chevron tank top that I had bought from a garage sale for a few bucks and a high-waisted pair of Celebrity Pink shorts (Dillard's for $20). It's a really comfy yet really cute outfit. That's definitely a win, for sure :-)
