Not to toot my own horn, or brag, or anything, but my life has really been looking up lately, and I'm loving it!!! :)
The last year and a half or so has been really traumatic and hectic, and I didn't have a lot of good going on in my life. If it hadn't been for my sorority sisters, my family, my amazing boyfriend, and God, I don't know if I would have been able to make it through the last year and a half.
I lost relationships with people that I called my best friends for years, said good-bye to my sister as she got married and moved to Florida, struggled in school, fell under a slight depression, and made the transition to a new job. I wasn't able to have a social life because I had to focus on my studies, which put distance between my family and friends and myself, and I wasn't able to have a diamond or get a position in my chapter. It all took a major toll on me!
Looking back on it all now, I can see how all of my struggles truly did make me stronger! I dedicate more time to school, my family and boyfriend, and my friends. I reach out more to friends who need a friend or a shoulder to lean on. But, most importantly, I grew some major confidence in myself. That has been my best improvement yet! :)
Sorry for my little soap box rant. On to my day!
I went to class, got out early, and got a bunch of stuff done before going to my second class. I called Maurices to check up on my application I had submitted, AND I GOT AN INTERVIEW FOR THURSDAY!!!!!!!! :) It's all very exciting! Then, I got myself all dolled up for the day, and went to class. I had made a few other phone calls and got some homework done and paperwork organized and filled out before class to give to my chapter president in my next class. It was great!

Anyways, today was a great day and it made me realize all of the good in my life, as well as remind me to keep my head up, because it can only get better! I know for a fact that God will only give me what I can handle, so all of the struggles I suffered through only made me realize how strong I truly am. God is so great. :)
