Renaissance Faire :-)

Day 158

Hey!! So, Adam and I did something pretty fun today... We went to the Renaissance Faire :-) It was really, really fun!! We were there from like 10:45 until around 1:30 or so, and there was a surprisingly large amount to do and see. Next year, when we go, we are definitely going to dress up for it. Without a doubt. We're going to nerd out and wear period-correct outfits and everything. I'M SO EXCITED!!

Once we left, we went back home to relax for a bit before going to the mall to get some dress clothes for Adam. Side note: Adam's grandmother on his dad's side passed away very early this morning, and the funeral is going to be in a few weeks, which is why he needs dress clothes. We were able to get most of what he needed at Dillard's (shirt and pants), with his shoes coming from Aldo and his tie coming from Macy's. We were able to make pretty good time getting it all done.

I wore two different outfits today since the first one was dirty from walking around the Renaissance Faire all morning. The first outfit was a high-low Derek Heart dress ($12 from Plato's) with a skinny silver belt and a pair of Charlotte Russe white sandals ($10 on sale). Pretty cute :-) The second outfit was a dark teal/green Xhilaration dress that has a chevron texture ($15 on sale) with the same skinny silver belt and a pair of chevron striped Old Navy pointy-toed flats ($8ish on sale). It was also pretty cute :-)

Two dresses in one day :-P
Here's an up-close look at the print on my high-low dress :-)

Slightly similar purple high-low dress
SANDALS!! I love the pop of neon yellow :-)

The common factor between the two outfits... Also known as a skinny silver belt :-)

Similar belt(s)
I love the subtle chevron texturing on my second dress :-)

The good 'ole chevron flats from Old Navy that I just can't seem to get rid of even though they're falling apart... :-P

Once we got done at the mall, Adam and I went home to relax. I've been feeling slightly under-the-weather, like I might be coming down with a cold or just a really bad case of allergies. Walking around at the Faire today was fun, but it didn't do anything to help the situation. Hence needing to stay in and relax for the rest of the day.

We didn't really do a whole lot for the rest of the day. After going to an inexpensive yet quite delicious Chinese buffet for a super quick dinner, Adam played his game while I read more of the second book in my Outlander series. Nice and relaxing :-) I have to get going, so until the next time... Stay fabulous, my lovelies!! Ciao!!
