First Day on the Sales Floor

Day 237

Hello!! Today was a great day for me because it was my first day on the sales floor in the Accessories Department, and it went incredibly well!! I learned a lot, met some really great people who are on my team, got to interact with customers for the first time in a long time, and, most importantly, was able to wear a fabulous outfit to work. It's about dang time, right?! Right :-)

So, this fabulous outfit (which I got a TON of compliments on) consisted of a cream puff sleeve top from Forever 21 (about $12 or so), a dark teal Mossimo blazer that has zipper detailing around the waist, and a beautiful cream lace overlay Ultra Pink skirt from Buckle ($40 before my discount). I FREAKING LOVE this combination of pieces!!

This skirt, though, is incredibly beautiful. Like, amazingly incredibly beautiful. I've loved it whole heartedly from the moment I saw it at Buckle, and I knew I just had to have it... Hence me buying it and wearing it to work :-P

I got a little ambitious and chose a pair of gray snakeskin Zara pointy-toed heels that I had bought online for like $25 or so on sale a while ago. They're so chic, but by the end of my 9:45-3 shift, my feet were killing me. Note to self... Bring flats to work when choosing heels in the morning.

After work, I came home, changed into a white MM Couture maxi dress ($35 or so after my discount and some other specials from Dillard's) with a bright yellow skinny belt, and got ready super fast so Adam and I could leave to go to a birthday party for one of our friends.

This dress is SO pretty :-)

I decided to go with the pointy-toed chevron-printed Old Navy flats that I bought for like $8 on sale a long time ago to add some more color and interest. Great decision, right?! Right :-)

The birthday party was more like a birthday dinner at a Mexican restaurant called The Green Lemon, and it was SO FREAKING GOOD!! I had an incredibly steak fajita burrito and not one but two 24oz margaritas since they (the margaritas) were on special for $9 a piece. That's 48oz of delicious margarita for a whopping $18. Worth it :-)

After dinner, Adam and I went home to relax for a while until bed, which was definitely needed after those margaritas, let's be honest here :-P I'm going to head out, so until the next time... Stay fabulous, my lovelies!! Ciao!!
