Work... Then Party :-)

Day 249

Why hello!! I worked yet another 9:40-3 opening Accessories shift at Dillard's today that was incredibly slow, and since we had a lot of people working during this slowness, I was able to leave a hour early to A) save on my hours as I had gone over them by about an hour throughout my last few shifts and B) to allow me to get home early enough to make Adam and I's plans happen. What were those plans you ask? Well, I'll get to that in a second. But first, my work outfit: a cream no name dress from Plato's Closet ($12) under a dark teal Mossmio blazer ($25 on sale). Fabulous combination :-)

I also added a Natasha statement necklace I had bought the previous day from Dillard's. It was $26 on sale, and it's super fabulous!!

For shoes, I went with the nude ShoeDazzle pumps that I love so much ($40).

I ended up changing into my nude Mossimo flats ($6 from Plato's) once my feet started hurting.

OK, so after work, I came home, changed my outfit a bit, packed, and then left with Adam for the 2 hour drive to Orlando for his cousin's high school graduation party. AKA our plan for after I got off of work. My slightly changed outfit consisted of the same dress with a bright yellow skinny belt. Nice enough for a party but still comfy enough for a 2 hour drive.

I also wore this dress to work
I do love the top of this dress as the detailing is so unique. It's a shame that I can't figure out the brand, though, to provide a link to this exact dress. Oh well.

Similar yellow belt from Buckle
For shoes, I decided to go with the simple R2 sandals that I had bought from Buckle. They're $40. Totally worth it since they literally go with everything.

We ended up getting to the party around 5pm despite the ridiculous amounts of rain that happened on the way there. The party itself was really fun, and it gave Adam the opportunity to spend some time with part of his family before he leaves for his deployment. We hadn't planned on staying over, but we did pack some overnight stuff just in case. It's a good thing we did because by the time we were thinking about driving home, it was super late and we were both really tired.

I'm going to head out, so until the next time... Stay fabulous, my lovelies!! Ciao!!
