Founders' Day 2014

Day #221

So I didn't end up falling asleep until 3:30 in the morning, and then I woke up at 6:30, so I only got three hours of sleep. -_- It's gonna be a long day.

I was able to get all the food picked up from catering on time, I got everything hung, set out, etc. Ready to rock and roll for the day!

I think the day went pretty well! It was real hectic, but I think all of the alumnae enjoyed themselves! :) Not too many chapter women showed up, which was a bummer, but we probably wouldn't have had enough food for them anyways! Oops...:P lol

The event got done early, so I did all of the clean-up, BY MYSELF- no one volunteered to help me, so that's good. That took me about an hour, so I had one hour to get everything back to my room, eat lunch, and get ready for Jewel Degree for the seniors.

After Jewel Degree got started, I left to help set up for the banquet, as a part of the reunion. The banquet started at 5:30, and went until 9. I, along with Lynette and another sister, helped work the silent auction table, so I was literally on my feet ALL DAY AND NIGHT. My calves were on fire!

I stayed to help clean up after the banquet, getting out of there around 10, then Gage picked me up, and we went to help out at his high school's after prom. His aunt was in charge of it and was short on volunteers, so we decided to help her out. It sounded like a great idea at the time, but it was such a bad idea in the end. I was on my feet the whole time there, too, and I didn't get to bed until 4am. Gross. It's not going to be fun waking up early for Senior Send-off and senior wills tomorrow...
