After ROC this morning, Gage and I relaxed a little bit before getting up to get ready for the day. We had a long day ahead of us...
Once we were ready, we started loading up his car full of all the stuff he's taking with him to his grandparents' apartment. It was sad to watch all of his belongings leave his room, knowing that he'll be living in Clive for the next year. :( I'm really not looking forward to this!
We finished loading everything up around 12:30, headed to my house to say adios to the kiddos and eat lunch, and then we were out of there! Gage ran a quick errand and I met him at a gas station, and to Des Moines we went.
It was a long ride. It took us almost 2 1/2 hours with all of the traffic, construction and stupid drivers. I was getting so annoyed! I was already overly emotional with having my "monthly visitor" and with Gage leaving me, so these dumb drivers real didn't help! :P
We arrived in Clive around 4/4:30 in the afternoon, relaxed a little, and then his grandparents took us out to dinner at Outback Steakhouse. I had never been there before, so I'm glad we went. It was yummy! :) Then we walked across the parking lot to the Pet Smart to look at baby kittens that need adopting. That was a horrible idea! I wanted one of the kittens, Byron. He kept looking at me with sad eyes and putting his paw up against the glass, trying to touch my hand that was on the other side. :( It was so precious!
We just got back to the apartment a little bit ago, so I'm going to focus on hanging out with Gage now. Toodles! :)
