Workout, Oil Change, Closing Shift, & Rocky Horror Picture Show

Day 326

Hey!! I was super productive today, so you should be super proud ;-) I started off my day with a 9:30am boxing and kickboxing basics class where I signed up for a 5 Week Challenge (I get measured and what not once a week, along with 19 other people, and at the end of the 5 weeks, whoever makes the most progress/gets first place wins $100, with those in the next few places getting smaller prizes). That class was a really good one, too, which is always good :-)

From there, I went home, showered, got ready for the day, and then headed on over to Express Oil Change and Service in South Tampa to get the oil changed in the Volkswagen. That didn't take too long nor cost as much as the other places I got quotes from, so that's good. Then, I went to Starbucks for a bit to work on blog-related stuff.

My outfit for this part of the day consisted of a printed Daytrip top from Buckle ($28) and some cropped holey American Eagle skinny jeans ($25 on sale).

I threw on a pair of plain white H&M flats ($12) to keep it simple and comfortable.

On my way home from Starbucks (around 3:45 or so), I remembered to check the mail, and in it I had a package from my mother-in-law and step-father-in-law. I opened this package to discover a super cute Pandora charm. It's the military-inspired one I've wanted for a while now. Upon seeing this, I started crying, for real. It happened. I texted my mother-in-law and then talked to her on the phone for a bit. Apparently, they saw it, thought of me, and decided to buy it and sent it to me. I just love them so much :-)

New Pandora charm thanks to my amazing in-laws!!
Once I got home, I changed quick into my work outfit (a black blazer I've had for forever, a black Xhilaration tank top from Target that was like $10 on sale years and years ago, and a dark red JollyChic.com pencil skirt that was $13), and then headed on over to Dillard's for my 5-9:30 closing shift.

I added a layered statement necklace I bought from Dillard's for $17 on sale to dress up my outfit a bit more.

I also wore some black American Eagle heels I bought from Payless Shoes years and years ago for like $20 to dress up my outfit even more. Basically, I just looked super professional :-)

My work shift was crazy busy, and in a short 4 hours, I did like $1900 in sales, which doesn't happen very often. For real, it was just that busy. While I was working, I made plans with two of the girls I work with (Delania and Chelsea) to go to the Rocky Horror Picture Show Shadow Show that goes on every Saturday night at the Tampa Pitcher Show when there isn't any special show going on since Chelsea and I have never been. Once work ended, Chelsea followed me to my apartment so we could get ready and drive to the show together. The doors didn't open until 11:30, but we got there around 11 so we wouldn't run the risk of running late. The show started around 12:30am, and it was SUPER FUN!! If you've never been to a Rocky Horror Picture Show live Shadow Show, I highly recommend going, especially if you like the movie. DO IT!!

My outfit for this part of my night consisted of a printed Love Culture tank top ($20 or so) and my cropped holey American Eagle skinny jeans ($25 on sale).

I decided to use my gray snakeskin-inspired Michael Kors bag since I don't use it very often.

For shoes, I decided to go with a pair of black Cherokee gladiator sandals I bought from the Girl's Shoes section at Target for like $5 on sale.

The Tampa Pitcher Show has a full bar and food menu, so while we were there, I had some strawberry daiquiris that were completely delicious and a huge nachos supreme platter that I split with Chelsea (it was also delicious, by the way). The show ended around 2:30am or so, and from there, Chelsea and I went back to the apartment to go to bed. I made her stay over because I didn't want her to drive home. Yes, I mother-henned her a bit ;-) Well, I'm going to call this post good, so until the next time... Stay fabulous and forever trending, my fellow fashionistas!! Ciao!!
