Sleepy Morning and Closing Shift

Day 330

Hey!! So, even though I worked out from 6-7am this morning, I still could not shake this overwhelming feeling of absolute exhaustion. For real. All I wanted to do from the time I woke up to the time I went to bed was just be in bed. I did force myself to workout for an hour, like I said, which was a good idea overall since skipping a workout class that I can actually make it to is something I do NOT want to do. The workout was pretty good given the fact that I was incredibly tired. It just kicked my butt a bit more than normal, that's all :-P

After my workout, I went home, I made my after-workout breakfast (protein shake and toast), watched some more Angel episodes, showered, and then took a nap that lasted almost 5 hours. I was really just that tired. I set an alarm to make sure I gave myself enough time to get ready for my 4-9:30 closing shift, but somehow I still managed to be late. Not really sure how I did that, I guess I just have some major time management skills, right?! ;-)

My work outfit today consisted of a cream Daytrip chiffon long-sleeved top that has a tuxedo back and stud detailing (Buckle, $33) and my black Daytrip jeggings (Buckle, $50).

And, like always, I added a layered statement necklace (Dillard's, $17 on sale). Now, as much as I love this necklace, it gets tangled up in itself so easy. For real. It drives me insane. I don't know if I'll ever be fully able to untangle it. But, one can dream, right? :-)

I love the tuxedo back on this top. It's really, really cute. And the added stud detailing just gives it that extra edge, which I also love.

For shoes, I decided to go a little bit more edgy and chose my tall black SammyDress.com boots ($19). I ended up really liking this outfit when it was all put together, and I did receive a TON of compliments on it while I was at work. SCORE!! :-)

Ok, so my work shift should've been crazy busy today... Why, you ask? Well, you see, today was the first day of an additional 30 or 40% off of already reduced items, a day reserved for our Dillard's cardholders. Usually, these sales cause the store to be packed, crazy, and an overall hot mess, and not for just part of the day either. It's an all day, ongoing thing. But today was the exception to that apparently because when I came in at 4 (or a little after 4 since I ran late today), it went from just being steady to being completely dead, and dead it stayed for the rest of my shift. I did manage to get a little over $2000 in sales within my 5 hour shift, which was pretty impressive considering how slow the store was. Yeah, I'm pretty proud of myself :-)

After work, I went home, changed into my PJs, watched some more Angel and Buffy episodes, and then went to bed. Nothing too exciting here, other than little miss Arya snuggling up with her mommy for over an hour. I love it when my kittens want to cuddle, and since it hasn't been happening very often, I cherish it when it does. Well, I'm going to call it good for now, so until the next time...
