Hey guys!! I don't know about ya'all, but I was so NOT ready for my 9:30-4 shift today :-P This girl was super, duper tired... Why you ask? Well, here's the main reason:
At 4:15am this morning, Adam calls me (when he's supposed to be on his way to work), which wakes me up from a very fabulous sleep. He informs me that as he was driving to work, he ended up getting into a car accident with his friend Andrew (Nikki's husband). They decided to drive separately to work since their holiday schedule has caused them to get off at different times, and apparently Adam ran into the back of Andrew's car as they were attempting to merge onto the ramp for the expressway. Fantastic, right? Turns out, Andrew's car has very minor damage while our car is in pretty bad shape in the front. The hood's messed up, one of the headlights is dangling in the inside of it's thingy, the driver's side door doesn't open all the way, and the bumper is also messed up. Fun.
When he called me, they were waiting for the police officer to arrive. Basically, Adam had to be given a ticket (which the cop told him he can fight in court to get it dismissed so we don't have to pay the $158 and so points won't be added to Adam's license), and then upon arriving at work, Adam was given a hard time for being not-so-smart.
I ended up being awake until almost 6 in the morning because I couldn't sleep. I wasn't mad at Adam (we all have at least one really stupid car accident in our lives), but I just kept thinking about everything we'd have to do. I was then supposed to get up at 8 to get ready for work, which didn't happen. Either my alarm went off and I completely slept through it, or my alarm just didn't go off at all. Regardless of why I didn't wake up at 8, all that matters is that I woke up at 9 when Adam called me to make sure I was leaving for work since that's when I was supposed to be on my way to work so I wouldn't be late for my 9:30-4 shift. Well, yeah... I had to call my work, tell them I'd be late, get ready, and leave ASAP.
I ended up being at work by 9:50, which isn't too bad considering I fully showered, got ready, packed a lunch, and drove 15-20 minutes to get to work, all within a 50 minute time frame. Impressed? I definitely am. Usually, it takes me a fully hour to get ready, eat breakfast, and pack a lunch, plus an additional 20-30 minutes drive time (without speeding too much). Work ended up being somewhat busy, with periods of incredibly slow time throughout the day. Not too bad.
For work, I ended up looking a little less put together than normal, but still pretty cute :-) I wore a greenish Daytrip long-sleeved shirt that says "Love is a Four Letter Word" (about $26 after discount) over a tan BKE long-sleeved burnout that has patterned sleeves (about $20 after discount). I threw on a black So camisole underneath for my third layer. For bottoms, I ended up wearing a lighter wash pair of BKE bootcut jeans (about $48 after discount), which NEVER happens. They're really comfy, though, so it's all good :-)

This shirt is super, duper cute, which just adds to the mystery of why I haven't worn it yet... Sometimes I even confuse myself :-P
For some reason, I haven't been able to find the exact burnout I wore online. I guess they've sold out of it?? Well anyways, I did find one that's very similar, so that's good I guess :-P

After I got off of work, I ate dinner quick with Adam, and then we went to see The Hobbit (in 3D) at the IMAX theater that's close to us. It was really, really good, and keep in mind that I'm not a huge Lord of the Rings fan. I definitely recommend going to see it ASAP!! AND if you do go see it in 3D at an IMAX theater, I would suggest not sitting too close to the screen, especially if you have corrective lenses (aka contacts). The 3D alone made my eyes tired, and sitting so close to the screen didn't help. Just a helpful suggestion :-)
For the later part of my day, I wore a Deathly Hallows black fitted t-shirt (Hot Topic $20) with a dark teal Charlotte Russe cardigan ($10 on sale) and my cream BKE infinity sweater scarf ($10 after discount). Then, because I'm somewhat predictable, I added my cropped and holey American Eagle skinnies ($25 on sale)... I just love them, OK? They're just so stinking comfy, and they look cute with pretty much any outfit I can think of :-P

Now, I have to finish up a good number of other posts, so I'm to go get a head start on the next one. Until I'm done... Stay fashionable, my fellow fashionistas!! Ciao!!
