The In-Laws, Part II

Day 117

Hey all!! So, real quick... I finished the sixth book in my Vampire Academy series at like 1:00 this morning... and it was REALLY good!! Not quite as good as the Divergent series, but still REALLy good!! Just in case you were wondering about how it was and if it was worth reading (it is, by the way), I got you :-)

Today was a pretty good for me, minus the not-so-great weather :-P I slept in until like 9:30, got up, drank some coffee, got ready, and was completely ready to go around 10:45. At that point, Adam, his mom (Kat), his step-dad (Dan), and I left to go to base so Adam could give them a tour. We ended up finally getting the couch that matches our loveseat for our apartment, which should be here tomorrow. YAY!! It was on sale for $375. WHOO!! While we were at the BX on base, Kat and Dan bought me a pair of tan-and-black zebra-printed TOMS, and I'm SO excited to wear them tomorrow :-) By the time we got done with the base tour, we were really, really hungry (the reason I was so hungry was because I failed to eat breakfast... Oops, my bad :-P)

For lunch, we decided that The Cheesecake Factory sounded amazing, so we headed on over to the International Plaza mall. My lunch was personally amazing, and I now my fellow lunchmates enjoyed theirs, too :-) We split this pretzel-breaded chicken appetizer, and then I had this delicious Pasta de Vinci dish and a slice of a featured Smore's-inspired cheesecake... O.M.G. YUM!! I highly recommend every bit of it, just saying :-)

After lunch, we walked around the mall for a bit, and Adam and I ended up stopping into PacSun just to waste some time. I got this really, really cute pale mint green v-neck tee that has giraffes all over it for $17!! I LOVE IT!! Adam also got a zip-up hoodie and a striped tee for like $40 total (buy one get one free). Sweet deal, right?! Adam so desperately needs civilian clothing, it's ridiculous :-P Kat ended up getting a pair of comfy sandals and a couple of Disney shirts (from the Disney store), and Dan got two pairs of shades for like $40, so it was definitely a pretty good day shopping-wise :-)

Once we finished up with the mall, we headed on home to relax for the rest of the day since we were all in a bit of a food coma :-P While Adam and Dan watched the rest of the Patriot's game, Kat and I did homework on our laptops, which worked out really, really well. Neither of us wanted to do homework while we could be doing something together, but the game was on at the perfect time, taking up Adam and Dan's attention until we could finish our homework. Score!!

My outfit today was really, really cute, which shouldn't be a shocker :-P I wore a tan Daytrip top that has a lace-ish overlay (about $22 after discount) under my fabulous striped Billabong cardigan (about $30 after discount) and my good 'ole cropped American Eagle holey skinnies ($25 on sale). I just rocked this outfit, what can I say?! ;-)

I know I've worn these two tops together before, but I mean, come on... I just love the combo! Plus, this is a completely different outfit than when I've worn them together previously, so it's all good :-)

I decided to go with my brown Soda boots again that I got from Plato's for like $12 because they match, they're really comfy, and they also happen to be ridiculously fabulous :-)

For the rest of the night, we just kind of hung out, not doing a whole lot. I've spent most of my time catching up on my posts since I've kind of sort of slacked off quite a bit... Oops :-P Since we were all really, really full from lunch, we didn't really have an actual dinner. I didn't even eat anything dinner-like until about 9:30 or so, and that ended up being the soup I took home from Olive Garden the other day. So, now I'm all caught up, and I think I'm going to hit the hay. Until tomorrow... Stay fabulous, my fellow fashionistas!! Ciao!!
