Don't get me wrong, I love my job, but some days I just really wish I had a more professional and higher paying one. I make eight dollars an hour, and get maybe fifteen to twenty hours a week. Now, that's not too bad, but when I have an expensive taste in clothing, plus I'm a shopaholic, I have sorority dues to pay, and I have to buy food and what not, it sucks. I used to get paid almost ten dollars an hour when I worked at a gas station, and that was amazing! When I first got hired here, my boss said I would get a raise/higher pay if I quit working at the gas station and devoted more of my time to Adrenaline X. So of course I quit. It was way less of a hassle and I thought it would be a good deal since I would be making more than just the eight dollars I was originally being paid. I thought wrong. I have yet to get that raise, so here I am stuck at eight dollars an hour. -_- UGH. So yeah, I've been on the lookout for another job, preferably one in retail or working as a receptionist or secretary. lol Plus, if I worked at a fancier, high end job, I could dress up and look nice for work, which I love doing - I know, call me weird- so that would be amazing! :)
Today wasn't too slow at work. We opened at noon and close at nine, since we have different holiday/winter break hours. Normally, we're closed on Mondays, so it was a little strange to me at first, but I adjusted. Our first group came in at 1:45 and then our second at 3 and that's it for the day until 5:15, but I'll be gone at that point. Oh darn...;)
I can't believe tomorrow is already Christmas Eve! I'm excited for my church service, because it's always the bomb dot com on Christmas Eve, and I'm also super excited to have my grandma's amazing chili that she always makes! Yay!!! :) And then, of course, I'm just a tad bit excited to open presents tomorrow night...:) I know I got a bunch of clothes from Forever 21, so get ready to see those coming up in future posts, as well as footie pajamas, and the game Cards Against Humanities- it's basically the adult version of Apples to Apples! I'm pumped! :) haha
After work I'm heading over to Gage's place. He's making me dinner - ooh la la ;)- and then we're probably just going to hang out and relax. It should be a good night. :) ("should" being the key word there...) haha
