Funday Friday

Day 73 :-)

Hey!! So, while I did have to work from 11-6 after having like 3 days off, it actually wasn't too bad. Work itself was fairly steady, and I found out that I made my sales goal, my sales per hour goal, and my average sale goal for the prior week. AWESOMENESS!! Nothing like good news about my work performance to make my day super duper fabulous :-) Of course, last week included Black Friday, and that day alone I made like $2000 in sales. Crazy. But still awesome.

For work, I decided to wear just a bunch of Daytrip clothing. NBD :-P Daytrip and BKE are the two less expensive brands at the Buckle, hence why I have a TON of them in my closet. Makes sense. Anyways… I wore a cute Daytrip patterned tank that ties in the front (online for like $10) over a plain black Xhilaration tank top that I've had for forever ($10) with a really cool Daytrip black jacket over top (about $25 after discount I think). I thought it looked pretty sweet together, so I went for it. For jeans, I went with a pair of Daytrip skinny jeans (like $35ish after discount I think). Like I said, I just went with a bunch of Daytrip stuff. Oops :-P At least I'm consistent, right?

This is the detailing on the jacket. Cool, right?!!? I feel pretty BA when I wear it since it has those spikes on the shoulder with some zipper detailing. I just love this jacket. It was one of the first things I bought :-P

For shoes, I rocked a pair of Not Rated gray boots (like $40 or so after discount I think) that have a cool quilted-looking pattern on the back. I LOVE these so much, it's ridiculous! These boots were also one of the first things I bought when I started working at the Buckle. LOVE THEM!!

So, after work was the Security Forces Christmas Party that I told you about a few posts ago. As it turns out, it's a pretty formal event. We, however, didn't know that. My husband was told that it's a "Saturday-Date-Night" type of dress code, so I wore a pretty yet conservative dress with some heels and curled my hair. Adam when with a pair of dark denim jeans, a really nice purple sweater, a plain white undershirt, and some nicer Nike shoes. Most of the guys there were wearing some kind of suit or dress-pant-dress-shirt-tie combo. The girls, well… let's just say there were lots of tight, short, and cleavage-baring dresses with some super high heels. I wish I could just dress every woman so that this doesn't happen. There were so many pretty females there who could've looked so fabulous but instead wore the typical tight/short/cleavy dress. It's a shame :-/

Anyways, I looked really nice :-) My dress was a Forever 21 cream-and-sparkly-gold conservative cocktail dress that had a black sash. I loved it a lot! It kind of reminds me of the dress I wore to our rehearsal dinner over a year ago. Funny story… That dress was one of the two I had planned on wearing for the party so I didn't have to buy one… But like I said, the boob area was definitely too tight. You could tell just by looking at me that it didn't fit right. Sad :-/ I do love the dress I bought, though, so that's good :-) It's hard to tell in the picture, but I went with a plain pair of Shoe Dazzle nude kitten heels that are literally the most comfortable pair of heels I've ever worn in my life, minus the ones I wore for the wedding. I loved my wedding heels more for obvious reasons, but I went with my plain nude ones because they went with my dress better. Fashionista problems ;-)

The Christmas Party ended up being really fun. They had a raffle (each ticket was $1) where there was a ton of stuff that you could win. I had $4 in my purse, so I gave them to Adam so he could put 4 tickets into something. He ended up putting them in the bin for a 6" Kindle, and we WON it! He's so proud of himself, it's really cute :-) At the party, they also had free drinks at several different bar stations, so lots of people were getting shwasted. I, myself, had like 4 drinks :-P I think I have a high tolerance because I wasn't drunk at all, just super happy with life. Not complaining. Definitely don't care to ever be drunk (I've never been, and I don't plan on being it for a long time). They also served us dinner, buffet-style, and it was pretty good. I had a really good time, and we got to hang out with the Montgomery's as well as another couple we haven't seen in a really long time. It was a really fun night, that's for sure :-)

I have to go finish even more posts, so I guess that's it for this one :-P Ciao!!
