CHRISTMAS TOWN!!!! (Thursday)

Day 86 [hint, hint, Korry jump back in now, hint, hint]

Hey guys!! Not only was today a day off for both Adam and myself, but it was also Busch Gardens Christmas Town day for us!! I was so excited!! We didn't get to go last year, so I was like super pumped ALL WEEK LONG!! We woke up late, lounged around for a while, got ready, and then met up with the Montgomerys since they were able to go to Christmas Town with us. And, of course, I had my signature breakfast to get my day going: cinnamon raison bagel with cinnamon cream cheese and hazelnut medium roast coffee with french vanilla creamer. YUM!!

We ended up leaving for Christmas Town around 4, got to Busch Gardens at like 4:30, and rode the Shiekra. Well, ok… They rode the Shiekra. I sat and waited because the Shiekra is so NOT my cup of tea… just saying. By the time they got off of the ride, it was 5, which meant that the park was closing for the normal day and wouldn't be "open" again until 6 for the start of Christmas Town. Since we already had our tickets for Christmas Town, and since we were already in the park, we were able to get wristbands to stay in the park for that hour. Once that hour was over, we ate dinner at the Crown Colony Cafe (I had roast beef, mashed potatoes with gravy, and a salad) which was really good!! AND the full bar inside was open for business, so I was able to have a super, duper delicious margarita!! Fabulous choice, if I do say so myself :-)

After we finished eating, we rode the Cheetah Hunt (in the dark), which was ridiculously fun!! I highly recommend doing so whenever the chance arises… just saying :-) For the rest of the night, we walked around, looked at all the lights and decorations, enjoyed hot chocolate/cookies/waffles, watched an amazing ice show, rode a sing-a-long train, and had a great time. It was really fun, and since Christmas this year will be family-less for all of us, it was also just what we needed to get into the Christmas spirit. I mean, yeah... it did kind of make me realize that a) it really is Christmas time and b) I won't be spending Christmas with my family… but knowing that I have Adam to lean on and another couple who's in the same boat to hang out with makes me feel better.

So… For the Christmas Town adventure, I wore a really comfy, cute, and slightly-warmer-than-usual outfit since I knew we would be walking a lot and that the temperature would be around 66. I went for a cute no name cream printed tee (Plato's for $5) that says "Welcome to the Good Life" with my cropped American Eagle holey skinnies ($25) and a brown Ounce jacket that I've had for forever. Pretty darn cute, if I do say so myself :-)

My printed tee is one of my favorites because it looks really cool. That, and it fits really well, matches pretty much everything, and it's really comfy. Win :-)

I really like my jacket because of the cute detailing it has around the pockets. It's a little bit big on me and not quite as fitted of a jacket/blazer as I would like, but it keeps me warm when it's chilly, and it's still really comfy, which is important.

I went with my good 'ole teal Mossimo pointy flats that have little holes in them because, well… I love them :-P These flats match a lot of my stuff, look really cute, and still give me the comfort I need. Plus, they add a pop of color to an otherwise neutral-colored outfit.

After we got back from Christmas Town, I read the third book in my series on the couch while Adam played a game on our Xbox One. Fun, right? ;-) We ended up passing out in bed not even a hour after being home because we were just so tired. True story. I have to catch up on some more posts… So until the next one, stay fabulous!! Ciao!!
