Bonjour!! Guess who had to work Friday the 13th? ME! It really wasn't too bad, surprisingly, even though it was my first closing shift (3-11). Coming in at 3pm is really weird. Everyone was already set up and settled into work long before I came in, which meant I felt like I was just floating around trying to figure out what to do. That's always fun :-P
Something really cool did happen when I was at work, which was me being able to help a lady find a complete outfit after not shopping at the Buckle (or really anywhere for herself) in almost 10 years. She had just lost a bunch of weight and needed some help finding outfits that worked for her new body. I showed her a bunch of options, she ended up buying one full outfit, and she told me she would come back when she had more time so that I could help her find even more outfits to fill her closet. It always makes me feel really confident in my abilities when I'm able to help someone like that. She left so happy, and it made me happy :-)
Other than that, nothing too special happened at work. Just lots of running around and getting overheated from all that running. That seems to happen a lot lately… Me becoming a "hot box" as my mom would say :-P Wearing 3 layers at work, where at least 1 is ¾ length sleeves, probably doesn't help with my "hot box"ness, but I have to follow the rules so I don't get into trouble. I kind of want to keep my job, you know?
So, my outfit for this usually jinxed/"bad" day was really cute. Pretty standard ;-) I wore a gray, pleated Daytrip tank top that has little splotches of color on it ($10 online!!) with a burgundy BKE Boutique cardigan (about $30 after discount). Super cute, right?! For my third layer, I just added a black So camisole underneath (like $8 from Kohl's). Wearing 2 tanks with a lightish-weight cardigan helps to keep me somewhat cool. For jeans, I wore some lighter-wash Daytrip skinny jeans (about $45ish after discount). I personally think that these pieces look really cute together, just saying :-)

This is a close-up of the tank top pattern. Definitely super cute :-) You can kind of see the stud detailing on the cardigan. These studs line the open edges of the cardigan, as well as the top part of the pockets. LOVE IT!!
It felt like a boot kind of day, so I went with my gray Not Rated quilted boots (about $35 after discount). These are so fabulous, it's ridiculous. AND they're super comfortable, too. WIN :-)
After work, I literally crashed. Not even kidding. I was so tired. It's not like I worked a super long shift, but because it was so late by the time I got off, I couldn't wait to crawl into bed :-P I've got a couple of posts to catch up on, so until I finish the next one… Stay fabulous :-) Ciao!!
