Day 18 :-)
Hiya!! This girl is super duper happy because today was the last day she has to wear that dreadful Back-to-School t-shirt during the weekends at Plato's Closet, and today was also the last day in her five work days in a row. Happy Kassy :-) Work today started off kind of slow, but of course it picked up shortly after a girl called out making us shorthanded. Go figure. It was super buy heavy, which meant there were a ton of people bringing in clothing items to sell. Obviously, being buy heavy is a good thing as it gives us the chance to increase our inventory levels and get more product out on the sales floor. And if I buy in anything that I like or if I tag anything that's been bought in that I like, I get dibs, which is super helpful for this 365 Day Challenge. However, being buy heavy when you're down a person isn't the greatest thing ever because the number of bins that need to be tagged grows after every buy gets cashed out, the store doesn't get straightened very often so it becomes a hot mess, the registers are constantly being used to input the buys and/or to ring up customers which backs up the buy line and ringing up line, and the customers get frustrated because we aren't able to unlock the fitting rooms fast enough or ring everyone in line up fast enough. It just becomes a hot mess of a situation. If my feet hadn't been hurting me so bad, I probably wouldn't have minded being so busy all day. Otherwise, it really wasn't too bad of a day :-)
I do have an update on the theft that occurred before I left work yesterday. The couple who stole my two co-workers' purses have been arrested, and both of my co-workers got their purses and belongings back. The couple was found in St. Pete by the Tampa PD officer and detective yesterday evening. One of the two girls (not my bestie) had everything returned to her, or nothing was missing other than the cash in her wallet. My bestie's cash was also taken, but she is still missing her coach wallet. Well, ok. We know where it is. The lady who stole the purses emptied out my bestie's wallet and put it in her purse, and the lady's purse is currently in her car, which is currently in TPD's impound lot. All my bestie has to do is go there, show them the report number, and get her wallet back. Other than that, everything was returned safe and sound. OH! And interesting side note: Apparently the couple stole purses from employees in a Family Christian Store in St. Pete and possibly other stores as well. Crazy, right?!
Now, onto the important stuff... my outfit for today ;-) Like yesterday, I had to wear my Plato's t-shirt, but I did it in a boring way with some dark skinny jeans from Express, the black blazer I work for Back in Black day, and some black Mossimo flats. Not very exciting, unfortunately. And since I worked until 6 and my husband has to work early in the morning, I haven't really gone out at all other than going to work. So.... I ended up going more for a comfy, in-the-apartment look :-P
I wore a plain black fitted v-neck OP t-shirt as it's one of my go-to shirts when I want to be comfy on top. I paired it with a dark purple cardigan I purchased from Plato's Closet earlier this week (I have no idea with the brand is) that is super cute, warm, and comfy :-) Yay for an easy outfit!!
I wanted to wear some comfy bottoms, too, so I went with some Aerie floral-printed cropped pants that also came from Plato's. I got these a while ago, but this is the first time I've worn them :-P While they are super cute, they do happen to look a lot like lounge or pajama pants. I have to be careful with what I pair them with whenever I wear them out so I don't like like one of those ratchet people who wear pajamas out in public. That's a HUGE no-no!! Don't do it... EVER!! Even if it's just a quick trip to the grocery store or gas station. No means no.
Anywho... back to my adorable pants :-P Look at the fabulously wonderful pattern!! Not only are they super cute, but they're also amazingly comfortable. I really do need to wear them more, but my hubby doesn't really like them, so IDK how that's gonna work. No worries, I'll figure it out :-)
Since I haven't left the apartment since I got home from work (and since I'm not planning on leaving it any time soon), I haven't picked any shoes to wear with my outfit. I'm going all natural, feet-wise at least :-P I didn't want to short ya'all a picture, so I included one of my foot tattoo. Isn't it pretty?? Well, ok... it's just words, but the words are totes pretty :-)
Well my darlings, it's time for this girl to put her feet up and relax after a five day stint of working on my feet. I'm going to enjoy a bottle of Smirnoff while watching Sex and the City reruns on TV. Stay fashionable until tomorrow :-) Ciao!!
-Kassy
