Working, Drama, and Groceries... OH MY!!

Day 17!!

Hiya!! I don't know about ya'all, but I've had a very long day today full of interesting happenings. Here's a quick rundown of how my day went (no worries, I'll go into detail later):

4am- Took Adam to work (went to bed right after)
8:30- Woke up and got ready for work
9:45- WORK!!
6:00- Supposed to be off of work
6:30- Actually off of work
7:00- Hardcore grocery shopping
8:15- FINALLY home relaxing :-P

Work today was crazy busy pretty much the entire time, and I did have to wear my Plato's t-shirt again. However, I did do it my way by cutting into the bottom of the shirt to tie it in a knot. I paired it with some high-waisted light-denim shorts (shown in my non-work-oufit's picture) and some black-and-white striped Wet Seal flats that I bought during their "Buy one get one for a penny" sale for $8 ($7.99 flats, $0.01 scarf). I wanted to do the t-shirt thing my way :-P AND tomorrow just so happens to be the very last day of having to wear that t-shirt, EVER!! (Next year will be a different one) Let's just say that I am one happy Kassy :-)

So now for my cuter outfit :-P I kept the same shorts from work, the high-waisted light-denim BDG (Urban Outfitters) shorts that I bought from Plato's for $8. They are surprisingly super comfy while still being super cute. I paired it with an off-white Forever 21 shirt that has a black lace bow on the front which I bought from Plato's as well for only $6. A super cute outfit at super cheap. Win!!

Now this shirt is sooooo adorable, I just HAD to show the lace bow's detail ;-) I also wanted to show off the black studded belt I was wearing (so I guess I had a secret motive behind the picture). I have no idea what brand the belt, where I got it from, or how long I've had it. That's how long this belt has been in my possession. But I do love it, and I'm surprised it hasn't died yet [knock on wood] :-P

Here's a shocker: I decided to wear my teal pointy-toed Mossimo flats that have little holes in it. I love these flats waaaay too much. It's kind of sad. But in all seriousness, these flats just happen to look cute with almost every outfit, so they will be in on this challenge a lot. Deal with it ;-)

I did promise I'd show off my adorable hair, and I am not one to disappoint :-) My hair being down tends to annoy me during busy days, so I decided to sock-bun-it-up. I have this cool hair donut thingy I bought from Claire's last year that matches my hair color. I put my hair in a high ponytail, put the donut around the ponytail, pulled the donut up to the ends of my hair, and then rolled it down the length of my ponytail while wrapping the ends of my hair around it. (This description makes it sound super confusing and hard, but I promise it's not. Look up a tutorial online for how to do a sock bun, and you'll see just how un-complicated it really is.) Anyways, I did the sock bun thing and then wrapped a long scrap piece of off-white lace fabric around the bottom part of it, finishing it off with a bow in the back. So freaking cute, right?! Right :-)

Earlier in this post, I mentioned that there was something interesting happenings at work today, and by interesting I mean other than being crazy busy for most of the day. Two other stores in our district short people, and they ended up taking three of the girls who work at my store, two of which who were supposed to work with me today. One girl went directly to the other store while the other one started off the day at my store and then left to go to a different one. However, this wasn't the most interesting part of my day. The most interesting part has to do with [dun dun dun] a theft!! Here's the story:

Two of the girls I work with (one of which was my bestie) had their lockers open in the back room, a place that is off-limits to non-employees (side note: I had my locker open, too, but at first glance it looked shut). Around 5:20 or so, both of the girls went to the back and noticed that their purses were both missing from their lockers. At first, everyone thought someone was just playing a joke, but after one of the girls (my bestie who's eggo is preggo) started getting mad and no one fessed up, we realized that we might have had a theft on our hands. The store manager called the store owner who then looked at the camera footage to see what had happened. Apparently this bigger African-American lady and an African-American man were to blame. At 4:58, the lady went into the back room while the guy stood watch near the back room door. She took the purses from the lockers and stuffed them under her dress. By 5:00, she was out of the back room, and 1 minute later, the couple had left the store. Crazy, right??

Here's some good-ish news, though. My bestie has an iPhone and was able to use the Find My iPhone app on one of the computers up front and track the location of her phone, showing that it was already in St. Pete. The police officer for the plaza we're in, a local police officer, and a detective came into the store, printed off images from the video footage, took down all of the information, used my bestie's Apple ID/password to actively track the phone from their vehicle, and left the store around 6:30 to go chase after the thieves. That's why I ended up having to stay late. It's just crazy.

When I go in to work tomorrow morning, I hope to get some more information or some kind of update about what the officers were able to find out. I'll let ya'all know tomorrow night when I post again. Until tomorrow... stay fashionable my loves :-)
