Whoopsies...

Day #16

So, because my day was so busy yesterday and I was too tired to stay up late, I didn't get the chance to post. So here it goes:

I got to my friend Anna's house around 11pm Thursday night after work. We had a LOT to catch up on! We ended up not going to bed until like 2:30 in the morning! I was pretty tired when I had to wake up at 7:30. :P

Chic outfit of the day :)
I wore my outrageously gorgeous Icon mint-colored high-waisted shorts that I got from a local store called Runway! I'm obsessed!!! :)  They are so comfy and soft and they have cute little gold buttons on them! Then, I borrowed my youngest sister, Kimmy's, razorback chiffon flower print tank top from Kohls. It's from the Candie's line and it's light pink with ruffles! The shoes I chose to finish off the outfit were my white Rue21 sandals. I'm seriously so in love with this outfit, it's ridiculous! :) lol

Anyways, we headed for the fair in Des Moines around 8:30am, getting there around 11. We walked around for a bit, took pictures (by the lion statue/Alphie) and then headed to this place called Bird's Nest, to eat. One of our friends, Jordyn, was working there so we got to see her for a bit while we ate. Good times. :)

After we ate, we headed over to the rides, where we met up with some of my UNI rugby friends. They weren't too into the rides, so they just walked around with us and held our bags while we rode the rides. It was funny considering that they were boys, holding our girly satchels. lol  The rides were really fun! We went on a lot of rides, but my favorite was called the Ring of Fire! It was crazy scary, but that was probably the best part about it. :) lol

The rides tired me out. Basically after we were done with all the rides, I was ready to go home. "Lucky" for me, we stayed another few hours. My legs were so sore, and I was tired, and my feet hurt. It was no longer a fun day at the Iowa State Fair. :(  Finally, around 6pm, we took off for home, THANK GOD!!! I got back to CR, after a long seven hour day at the fair, a little after 8, getting me home at 9:15ish. I was so happy to be home. :)

Then, I took a shower, super exciting I know, and I ate dinner, before skyping with Gage. We didn't skype too late, since we were both extremely exhausted, but we still made time to talk about our days. :)  That summarizes my yesterday! Peace out girl scouts! ;)
