Day Five!!
Guess who closed at Plato's today?? This girl did, that's who!! And guess who didn't have to wear the Plato's shirt and was able to wear her own cute clothes?? This girl!! Work was really busy, but it was definitely infinitely better because I was able to rock my Kassy style. Today I decided to just look super, super cute and play with color after having to wear a black, boring t-shirt for three days in a row. I wore a golden yellow, scholarly-looking cardigan from the Banana Republic Outlet (it was only $10!!!!) with a pale mint green, spaghetti strap tank top from Charlotte Russe that I got from Plato's and a pair of brown, faux leather, high-waisted shorts from Forever 21 that I also got from Plato's. So cute, right??
Now, for most of the day it was kind of hot in the store (especially since I was running around like a madwoman helping customers and what not), so I ended up going cardigan-less for the majority of my time. Going cardigan-less meant I was able to show off just how darn cute my tank-top really is with all it's cut-outs. I mean, seriously, how adorable is that design, and it was only $3!! And apparently the color matches my eyes almost to a tee :-) BONUS!!
Now for shoes, let me just say how freaking awesome my feet looked today!! I just bought these shoes yesterday from Plato's, and I couldn't be happier with them. They are beige with pale gold sparkles towards the front and partially lace-up. These adorable oxford-like flats are Not Rated brand (so originally like $40 or so), and I paid $10 for them!! SOOOOO CUTE!!
I got so many compliments from my fellow Plato's employees on my outfit today, and it just made me so happy :-) There was an incident with a super rude old Chinese lady that kind of ruined my good mood (and my confidence levels), but my good mood came back after the girls I work with told me the lady was wrong.
So here's the story of the rude old Chinese lady: She comes in with her husband and looks around for a pair of jeans. Apparently she doesn't understand what pant sizes are with it is something other than 00-15/16, and she comes up to me with a size 25 (or a 1) asking if it's small. I tell her yes, that it's a size 1, and she walks away. NBD. Well 5 minutes later, she comes up to me with a size 6 and says "This small?" and I reply "Yes. It's about my size" (because I do normally wear a 4 or a 6). She then goes "Oh, it big" and walks away. Rude as eff, right? Right. That pretty much ruined my mood for a while, but I luckily have the best coworkers ever who helped make me feel better. That and when I posted about it on Facebook, I got a bunch of positive reinforcement about how I'm not big and how I'm beautiful. I LOVE my family and friends on Facebook :-)
Well my lovely readers, this lady has to go to bed because being on her feet from for close to 9 straight hours really tuckered her out :-P I'll post again tomorrow!! Tootles!!
