Day 19!!

Hello there, fellow fashionistas!! I don't know about ya'all, but my day has been pretty chill. Even though I was up from 3:10 this morning until about 7 or so with some serious gastrointestinal pain/discomfort, the rest of my day was just a typical day off (aka lots of sleeping in and laying around). I didn't get out of bed until a little after 12:30, and after eating breakfast, I continued to lay around some more on the couch while watching TLC's What Not to Wear (sad note: this is the LAST season EVER of WNTW), HGTV's Love It or List It, and A&E's Criminal Minds. I pretty great combo if I do say so myself :-) My hubby got home from work around 2:30, and after he ate lunch, we both showered and started to get ready for the day (or what's left of the day). However, this whole "getting ready" thing didn't really last very long or get very far because we both passed out on the bed for a little over an hour. Like I said, I had a very typical lazy day off :-P
When we woke up from our nap, the hubby and I finally got ready, Skyped with my side of the family, and we made plans to go see Kick-Ass 2!! Originally, we had wanted to go to the 7:00 showing at the AMC theatre in the Westshore Mall as it's really nice (and kind of pricey) and not sketch at all. We left around 6:15 or so to avoid hitting too much traffic. Let me point out that at this point, it had been raining pretty hardcore for the past 30 minutes or so. We were driving down Dale Mabry Highway, maybe about 10-15 minutes away from the theatre, when we see that the road is flooding really bad. Now, we have a cute little Ford Focus. Not some rough and tough vehicle. There was no way our little Focus was going to make it through that hot mess of a situation. So instead, we turned around and decided to go to the 7:30 showing at the Britton 8 Theatre in the plaza where I work. We did have a ton of time to kill before the movie started, so we went into Burlington Coat Factory where I found a beautiful Steve Madden purse for $34.99 that I do hope to own one day. It's just so pretty, and I have to have it :-) While the movie was really good, and I HIGHLY recommend seeing it if you liked the first one, the theatre is super sketch (and significantly cheaper). Since it was raining and theaters do tend to be chilly, I decided to dress a little bit warmer than the humid Florida weather usually allows for. I went with this super cute teal shirt with a white lace front that I bought from Plato's earlier this week (I have no idea what brand it is :-P). It's longer in the back, which I love, and a tad bit see-through. I ended up wearing a dark tan Charlotte Russe camisole underneath just to be safe. Couldn't have the goodies hanging out, no could I? ;-) For bottoms, I rocked my favorite pair of super dark wash Express skinny jeans that were $12 from Plato's. And for shoes, I chose these fabulous caramel brown boots that I got from Plato's for a mere $11!! (I'm starting to think that the majority of my wardrobe consists of Plato's finds... Hmm. I shall have to test this theory at some point). I just looked super fabulous and fashionable today. NBD :-)
Tomorrow will be an 9 hour work day, and then afterwards, I get to sit next to my hubby as he gets a tattoo for like 3.5 hours. So it'll be a long day for sure. What helps is not having to work the day after. Yay for days off!! Well, this fashionista has to hit the hay since she does have to open tomorrow. Until tomorrow... stay fabulous :-) Ciao!!
-Kassy
