If you were wondering about the title of this post, it's a reference to the movie Practical Magic. It's after the ex-boyfriend's ghost or whatever is officially out of the sister (Nicole Kidman), and out of house, and one of the ladies in the house yells that line and they all begin cleaning everything out of the house. For those of you who have seen this movie, you get what I'm talking about! :P lol
Today there was a lot of cleaning done at the good 'ol Pi Palace (the Alpha Delta Pi house)! We worked from 12:30 until 4:30pm, nonstop, on cleaning the entire house! I was on outside duty, so I had the lovely "pleasure" of pulling weeds, cleaning the yard of garbage, cleaning the porch and power-washing the house, all in the front yard. It was exhausting!!! Luckily there was a group of about ten of us working together to get it done, but it still took four hours. :P I was already extremely tired to start off, and cleaning like crazy did not make matters any better.
In the morning, before lunch, we ran through our recruitment days a few more times, so at least I wasn't cleaning all day. During lunch, I went to my dorm and checked into my room, getting my keys so I could go see what my room looks like and move things in tonight. Because I'm living in a single, my room is pretty small, but it's just me so I'll manage! Plus, Brea lives in a single next door so of course it's still gonna be fun no matter what. :) The closet is surprisingly bigger than my double was last year. I found that to be really odd, but no complaints here! lol I started moving in some big things after dinner, with the help of my parents and youngest sister, so I won't have quite as much to do tomorrow. It's perfect since I'll be home alone for most of the day, with my parents going to Des Moines for the Warrior Dash, Kimmy going with, and Katy working all day. :P There is absolutely NO WAY I could lift and carry my TV, fridge and cubicle type thing on my own! Yikes. Talk about an accident waiting to happen...lol
Since we weren't doing anything too crazy this morning at Spirit Week, I wore a cutesy outfit. I wore high-waisted coral shorts, from Forever21, with white and floral razor back L.O.L. Vintage tank top from Target, and a denim button-up vest with sequins (I'm not sure where it's from since I got it online). I tucked the tank top into my shorts and left the vest open, so I looked super cute! Then I wore my silver Candie's to finish off the look. I got a lot of compliments from my sisters, as always, and felt wonderful! lol I had to change at home, during my lunch break, into clothes that I could clean in though, sadly. I put on black flip flops, my black Rock 4a Cure shirt I got from a fraternity on campus (for their philanthropy), and purple and black UNI shorts. To make the outfit even more "banging," I put my hair in, what we ADPis like to call, a "power bun." lol It's basically a ratchet messy bun. :P haha Most of the girls had their hair in this style, so it was acceptable. ;)
After I got done at the house, I packed some stuff up at home, ate dinner and moved some stuff into my new dorm room. That's really it, I guess...I'm gonna skype with Gage here in a little bit, so I'm gonna get going! Have a wonderful Friday night and stay fabulous, friends! :)
