Day #10

| My adorable nautical-themed bikini! |
A couple of Gage's friends were already at the beach, so we hung out with them for a while. Gage played football in the water with them while I struggled to keep the water from devouring me. lol But really though. We went pretty deep into the water! Being the short person that I am, I was having a hard time staying above the waves once we got out into the deeper stuff. Luckily Gage is tall and nice, so he was able to protect me a little bit. Even with him keeping me from drowning, I still managed to lose my sunglasses in a huge wave. :( Neither of us were paying attention to the water when all of a sudden a gigantic wave came up on us! I didn't have time to hold my hands up to my face to protect my precious aviators, so I ended up losing them to the ocean. Sad day :( Then, to top it off, I was facing the wave so I got the nasty, ratchet saltwater all up on my hair, eyes, in my mouth and up my nose. Fun times...NOT! Even though all of that happened, I toughed it out like a boss and stayed in the water for about another hour or so. I'm just that awesome :) lol
After the beach, Gage, his friend Davis (his first name is Branden), and I all went to a little restaurant/bar for a late lunch. I ordered chips and salsa since I wasn't all that hungry, and they ended up being gross. I tried my best to eat it but I had to give up at a certain point. Apparently these chips and salsa were "homemade" and "the best," but I'd say the complete opposite! The chips had a bland, almost chalky taste and feel to them and the salsa was too spicy for my taste. I knew they were no good when Davis, a BOY, tried them and said they were gross. So it wasn't just me being picky! lol
Gage dropped me off at the hotel to shower and get ready for ice skating after we got back from the beach. It felt lovely to rinse all the saltwater off my body and out of my hair! I dressed myself up in a new top that I got for my birthday and my favorite pair of American Eagle dark skinny jeans, that have rips in them. The top is from Von Maur, not sure on the brand, and is a 3/4 sleeve white blouse with a kind of Native American brown and black pattern on it. Then I wore my new white sandals that I got at Rue 21 for ONE DOLLAR (I know, it's pretty awesome), but I packed some socks in my Coach satchel for ice skating.
Ice skating was actually a total blast! I was a little worried that I'd fall flat on my face, but once I got going I was pretty darn good! lol I managed to not fall at all and I got some pretty good speed going. Gage even told me that he was impressed. :) haha Although I'm not nearly as good as Gage and one of his friends- they both used to play hockey- I still had a good time overall!
Skating lasted about an hour or so and then we headed back to the hotel to watch a movie, just the two of us. We pulled up "Breakfast Club" on my Netflix account (we both love that movie), but ended up passing out not even thirty minutes into it! :P lol We were both exhausted from the long day. My nap lasted about half an hour, and Gage was still sleeping, so I finished watching the movie and waited for him to get up. I'm such a nice girlfriend! ;) lol That was basically it for the rest of the night. I dropped him off at the base again and picked him up bright and early on Sunday! :)
