Day #15
So, I'm definitely looking forward to having a day off tomorrow. This is my third day in a row of working, and as much as I LOVE my job, I'm ready for a break from all things laser tag. :P But really though. I was going to try to look cute today, but there's not much you can do with a work shirt, especially if it's a t-shirt. If I owned any kind of camo I could wear that, but of course I don't. Plus, camo is supes ratchet, and I ain't about that life. lol No joke.
I decided to go ahead and wear my green work shirt again- since my red one is dirty. I did wear different pants, though, so that's kind of exciting, right?! haha Not really, but it was a good attempt on my part! ;) I went comfy/lazy today with wearing my black Champion shorts, that I'm pretty positive I purchased in the kids' department at Target, that have a white stripes on the sides, as well as the rims being white. My black flippy-floppies were ESSENTIAL to complete this super chic look, so naturally I wore them! My ensemble would be a train wreck without these beauties. ;) Lawlz. I wanted to wear a jacket since the store is usually pretty cold, so I borrowed my younger sister, Katy's, light grey slash kind of white zip-up hoodie jacket. The brand is Mossimo Supply Co., so I'm almost one hundred percent certain that it was also purchased at Target. All that matters really though is that it keeps me warm and it's soft! It's just like a boyfriend. :) lol
Tonight is probs going to be a long night! I'm scheduled from 2:30 until 9:30pm, and since our last session time is booked, I will not be getting out early like I have the past couple of nights. Sad day. :( Fortunately, I work with a guy who is really nice and pretty cool and funny, so the night should go decently well and fast! *fingers crossed* *knock on wood three times* Plus, he's mainly trained on reffing, and not working the front of the store register and phones, so he'll probably end up doing most of the reffing aspect of the job- which I'm totally a-okay with after last night! :P No complaints here! :)
After work, my plans are to shower, pack an overnight bag, and drive to Cedar Rapids- about forty-five minutes away-, to stay with my best friends, Brea and Anna, at one of their houses before the Iowa State Fair in the morning. The three of us haven't seen each other in person since May, when school ended, so I'm super duper stoked to see them both and hang out with them all day tomorrow!!! We're the three best friends that anyone could have! ;) lol (hopefully you understood that reference) Instead of waking up at the butt-crack of dawn tomorrow, to drive to CR to their houses, we thought it'd be best to have a sleepover and catch up and then leave bright and early in the morning for the fair! I'm excited! I've never been to the fair before AND I get to go with my besties!!! :) Plus, one of my other really good friends, Jordyn, is working at the fair so we're gonna stop by and say hey! :) I'm hoping for a fantabulous day!
The only sucky thing about tonight is that I probably won't be able to skype with Gage. :( Since I don't get off until 9:30pm, 10:30 his time, it's gonna be pushing it for how late it's keeping him up. He has PT (physical training) really early in the morning so the earlier he can get to sleep, the better! I won't be able to skype with him while I'm driving, obviously, so we'd have to skype right after I get off, but it'd only be for maybe fifteen minutes. :/ I'll probably just end up talking to him on the phone while I'm driving to CR or once I get there, before I head to bed. Let's just hope I get some kind of communication, other than texting, in before bed time! :)
