Day 27!!
Hello my fellow fashionistas!! This girl had a really long day today, or a day that felt really long. I worked 9:45-6, came home, ate dinner, did homework, discovered I'm only 58% complete with my degree even though I'm a senior and would've been graduating at the end of this school year had I not transferred/changed majors, and sulked about having to be in school for the rest of my life. It's not a very fun time for me right now... I hate school. Seriously. I'm honestly considering a Bachelor of General Studies degree since I'm 80% complete with that degree. If I knew exactly what my career field would be with that degree, I'd be all over it because I really don't know if being a teacher is what I really want out of my life. IDK.
So, onto the important stuff: my outfit :-P I went super simple today with a plain black racerback Xhilaration tank top and some light pink cropped Jennifer Lopez pants. It was comfy, easy, and casual for opening the store this morning. It also showcased my tattoo, and with my hair pulled up in an OK-looking bun, my tattoo really shined through (sorry there isn't a picture of my tattoo or my hair... when I got home from work, I just wasn't feeling a full out photo shoot :-P)
I added some interest with my shoes by wearing my coral-and-light-pink floral pointy-toed Old Navy flats. The lighting in the picture kind of distorts the color a wee bit, making it look like these adorable shoes don't match my outfit. No worries, they really do match, I promise :-)
Work today was slow and busy at the same time. Our sales were low, but we did a good deal of buys, yet that wasn't what made us busy. We are in the process of doing 50% off markdowns in different sections of the store, and it all has to be done by hand before Friday. Yesterday, we had two girls doing Men's t-shirts, Women's short-sleeves, and something else, and that was all they did for their shifts, leaving us five other people to get tasks done, ring people up, do buys, straighten, etc. Today, though, we had five total people scheduled, and we all had to some how manage to mark down Women's t-shirts (the assistant store manager and I knocked that out by like 1) and Women's tank and halter tops. When I left, we still had to sort about half of an aisle of tanks and physically mark down over 3/4 of the soon-to-be clearance tanks. It wasn't too bad, but it still kept us busy as it was separate from our daily tasks. All that's left to mark down is dresses, I believe, so we are actually doing pretty well so far :-)
Regardless of how busy or slow my day was today, I'm still super tired and want to relax before hitting the hay. Ya'all have a great rest of the night, mmk? Until tomorrow... Stay classy, my lovelies :-) Ciao!!
-Kassy
