Okay, so it's not that my day was uneventful, it was just the same as every day has been lately, so basically boring and, well I guess, uneventful. :P Blah.
I woke up 6:20 this morning to get ready for class, where I ended up having basically the entire two hours of class to work on an assignment that's due in class on Friday. All I had to do was use note cards to make "trading cards" for the planets, with fun facts and an illustration, and then I could leave. Lucky for me, I brought my laptop, so I was able to find facts really easily and fast and I ended up getting done with the assignment twenty-five minutes early. Score! :)
After class I went to the union to get some mentored study hours in and to later eat lunch. I was there until 11:45am or so, before going to class at noon, so I got a good two hours of mentored hours. Whoop whoop! lol For lunch, I got nachos, with Lauren, which were super delicious! I just put beef, salsa, and nacho cheese on it. That's all it needed! Oh my gosh it was seriously so good. :)
While I was sitting in the union with sisters, we started talking about Pride Cry, which is an event that's done every year for homecoming, where groups change lyrics to a song to fit the theme for the year, and then they sing and dance. The sororities and fraternities always pair up, so this year we're with Sigma Alpha Epsilon (SAE)- last year we were with Sigma Phi Epsilon (SigEp), Gage's fraternity. The theme is Purple Tie Affair (or something like that), which is UNI's version of Black Tie Affair, so we were trying to figure out good songs to use at lunch. We started to discuss on how we should split up all the work, and the girls decided that I should be in charge of choreography, since I helped with choreography during the Lip Sync part of Greek Week last year and got us 1st place. A lot of my sisters have talked to me asking if I'll choreograph Pride Cry, or they've just assumed that I'm in charge of it, so they ask to help out a little. So basically, I was already volunteered as "tribute" to head that up, but today it was made official that I'm leading the charge for the dance portion. I'm really excited and actually really flattered that my sisters chose me to choreograph! I'm so pumped!!! :)
After my two afternoon classes, I went back to my dorm to change for work, which I've been at since 2:30pm. I was there until 8:45, meaning we left early, because we were dead. Hallefrickinlujah! haha :) (but really though) Mark (boss man) ended up coming in towards the end of the shift to make sure we got the whole closing check list done, which we did, and then made us vacuum the pro course. And by "us," I mean me, since there's only one vacuum. :P But that's fine. I don't mind vacuuming all that much.
We only had one group come in today, but we had a TON OF PHONE CALLS! No joke. It was nice that we were dead though, because that gave me time to do more homework. I actually got quite a lot done, which I'm real happy about! :)
I just got back home a little while ago, so I'm gonna get going to bed soo, once I tell you about my outfit of the day! Today, I wore a white and black spotted crop top tank top, from Forever 21, burgundy jean shorts from American Eagle, a grey cardigan that I got from Gap Kids (lol), and I finished off the look with black gladiator Candie's sandals from Kohls and a preppy chic sock bun! I felt really cute and professional-like today, so I was in a good mood. That really helped me get a lot accomplished, as well as get organized for the week! Loved it. :)
That's all she wrote for today! Sleep tight and stay fabulous! :)
