Ok, so... I've been busy... And tired... But mostly busy. My Sunday 11:30-7:30 shift was pure craziness. I opened and closed the store/registers, which was kind of a big deal since I haven't actually closed down everything in over two months. Luckily it went pretty smoothly, so that's good. The day itself was crazy busy, though, so we didn't get out until 7:50. That part sucked. BUT we were able to markdown the clearance to $1 & $2, condensed the clearance to the front of the store, decorated a college-themed wall for a district-wide competition, created a homecoming dresses feature rack, and put out 5 total bins of shoes, which was pretty impressive. Still, it was a busy busy busy work day :-P
After work, I got home, ate dinner, relaxed briefly with my love, and then did homework from 9pm-1am. It was painful. I really need to stop procrastinating on my homework, especially when it's all due on a Sunday night where I have to be up early the next morning. Yeah, I had to be up by 7:30 for a meeting with the Associate Principle at Ballast Point Elementary in regards to my mandatory field experience. Not very smart of me to stay up so late... Oh well.
I kind of slacked with my outfit on Sunday in order to support my hubby's New England Patriots. I wore a Patriot's t-shirt, my cropped American Eagle skinnies that have holes in them, and my favorite white cutout no name flats that I can't seem to get enough of. What?! They're adorable and comfy, so of course I'm going to wear them a ridiculous amount ;-)
After work, I did homework for a ridiculous amount of time and then poured myself into bed. Not a super exciting night by any means.
Monday was an OK day. I had my meeting from 8:30-9, which went really well. I'm officially doing all but 6 of my 46 hours there, so that's super awesome. I was even able to set up a full day (7:15-2:45) of observations in a single classroom for Tuesday :-) Since I didn't have to be at work until 12, I ended up taking a nap when I got home. It was wonderful :-) I worked another crazy busy 12-9:30 shift where I found out that getting more than 2 weeks off a time for vacation will literally be impossible. Sucks. If we had more key holders, it wouldn't be such an issue, but there's only 3 of us plus our manager. So, yeah... Vacation requests probably won't go so well. Fantastic.
For the meeting, I wore a gray-and-light-pink Lauren Conrad sweater (Kohls for $10), a mint green Silence and Noise pencil skirt (Plato's for $6), and the cutout white no name flats. It was cute and professional. A great first impression :-)
For work, I wore navy Yale tank top (Plato's for $6), a teal Charlotte Russe cardigan ($10), and some dark denim Hollister skinnies ($25). Very comfy!! And it kept me warm in our freezing store.
I paired this outfit with some medium brown no name combat boots that I had got at Plato's for $12. SOOO comfy and absolutely fabulous!! LOVE them!!
After work, I got all of the stuff I needed for my field work ready and then hit the hay. Not too exciting :-P
Tuesday morning, I had to wake up at 6:30am to be at the school by 7:15. It was raining like crazy. Go figure. But the 7.5 hours of observation were actually pretty good despite the heavy rain. I was in a 5th grade classroom that has General Education, Special Education, and English as a Second Language students in it, which was a good mixture to see since my future classrooms may very well be the same way. I really enjoyed observing that classroom, and I'm excited to observe there again :-)
For my observation, I wanted to look professional, so I went with a black button-up short sleeve Forever 21 shirt that has white trim (Plato's for $6) with a black SO camisole underneath and some blue Express trousers ($25). Fashionable and professional :-) And the teacher I was with thought I looked cute. NBD.
I wore my nude Mossimo flats that I got from Plato's for $6 since they're comfortable and cute :-)
After my field experience, I put on a pink floral high-low Charlotte Russe dress that was a Plato's for $8 and a plain white cropped no name cardigan. So cute!! My husband had just finished the last Hunger Games book, was kind of depressed, and wanted to get out of the apartment, so I wanted to look cute when we went out to dinner. Hence, the adorable dress :-)
I wore the same flats since the matched my outfit ad since I'm lazy :-P We went to the mall, and I got a cute dress and some sandals for $18 from Charlotte Russe. Score!! Then we ate at Maggiono's (Italian), and it sooooooooo good!! YUM!!
I mean, look at that food. It's amazing!! After dinner, I stayed up until almost 1 doing homework. That part sucked. I was super tired when I finally got to bed.
And now for today (Wednesday)... I had to work a 12-9:30 shift today, and it actually wasn't too terribly bad. We were pretty bored by the end of the night, which I wasn't expecting at all, AND we did end up getting out 10 minutes early, so YAY for that!! Nothing super interesting happened at work today, other than getting to eat my leftovers from dinner for my lunch. It was still super yummy :-)
So, today I wore my new Charlotte Russe maxi dress that I got the day before. It was $12, and I LOVE it!! It has black-and-white stripes on the top and a bright blue skirt. Soooooooo cute :-) I paired it wth a yellow belt, which was a great idea.
I also wore my new Charlotte Russe sandals. They were $4.99, and I'm for serious in love with them right now. They're white with bright yellow on the sides. Fabulous!!
I just got home not too long ago, and I'm going to spend some time with my husband since I won't get to see him like at all tomorrow. So... Until tomorrow, stay fabulous, my fellow fashionistas :-) Ciao!!
