Hey hey hey!! Today was kind of a long day for me, even though I slept in until 10:30. I got up, ate breakfast, showered, got ready, and was out of the apartment by 11:30. Not too shabby :-) My husband and I went on-base to Tinker Elementary School so I could hand in a volunteering form. The form is for me to be able to do observation/volunteer/field experience hours in Tinker. I'm hoping they'll let me get my hours done there since I live 5 minutes from base. We'll see... So, we dropped off my form and drove to Jersey Mike's for lunch. I had a rueben, and it was amazing :-) By the time we got done eating, I still had a good 45 minutes until I had to be a work for my 1-9:30 shift. We ended up going to Game Stop so we could buy a Wii controller and nunchuk. After that, my husband dropped me off at work since I already had everything I needed with me. I was like 15 minutes early, so I ready my book in the back room until I had to clock-in.
I decided to wear my new light pink Forever 21 high-low dress today because I'm totally in love with it!! I bought it yesterday in the Brandon mall (from the actual Forever 21 store) with a thing of lipgloss and a plain white camisole for only $21!! SCORE!! I love it. It's adorable. NBD :-) I wore a skinny white belt with it to add some waists definition. Accenting or defining your waist is always a good idea when wearing a dress.
One of the things I think is super cute about this dress is that it's see-through at the top, making a sweetheart styled front part with a keyhole cutout in the back. Totally adorable :-)
I didn't do a whole lot of fun patterns or color today, but I did as some sparkle with my shoes :-) I wore a pair tan sparkly New York & Company flats with a bow on top that I bought from Plato's for only $8!! Soooooooooo cute!! And totally affordable. Man, I do love my Plato's purchases. My closet is so much more fabulous (without breaking the bank) because of Plato's.
Work itself was ok. We were busy, then slow, then busy, and then slow again. When we first started to slow down, my fellow co-workers and I were like "Let's get everything done!!" (Tasks, clearance markdowns, tagging). Of course, as soon as we all stared really making progress on whatever it was we were doing, we got busy again. Go figure :-P We still managed to stay caught up on straightening, buys, and tagging, and we were also able to finish marking the clearance down (by hand) from 50% to 75% off. Everyone else was able to finish their tasks, but I still have to fix the sandals and fill in the holes in the regular shoes. We were too busy for me to completely finish. What matters that I was able to dust, straighten, and shift all of the regular shoes while putting out 1 full bin of size 9/10 shoes. Yeah, I still have to fill sizes 5-8 (and fix the sandals), but I do open tomorrow, so I'll be able to do that first thing in the morning before it gets busy. Either way, it'll get done :-)
I got off of work 5 minutes early tonight (yay??), and after my husband picked me up and brought me home, I relaxed while eating the homemade mac n' cheese my husband made for dinner. Adam went to bed pretty much right away after we got home since he has to leave for work by 4am (sorry, I have to take home to work at 4am), so I ended up finishing my book. The ending was super intense, and I have to get the fifth one ASAP!! Seriously. I HAVE to have it!! What's going to suck, though, is the last book in the series won't come out until May, which is 8 months away. I don't want to have to wait that long :-/ Luckily, there's a three book prequel to the series that I can read after I read the fifth book to tide me over until the new one comes out. So yay for that I guess :-)
After finishing my book, I realized that I hadn't posted today and figured I should probably do so before I forget/go to bed. I really do need to go to bed, though, since I have to take my husband to work at 4am and then work a 9:45-6 shift later on. So, yeah... I'm going to hit the hay. Ya'all have a great night, and until tomorrow... Stay sparkly :-) Ciao!!
