So, I've decided that this has been a long week. Even though I didn't have class on Monday, it still feels like this week has been going on for a month. :P I can't wait for tomorrow to be here.
Today wasn't too bad of a day. I had class at 9:30 until 10:45am, so I got to "sleep in" until 7:45. It's pretty sad that I consider 7:45 to be a sleeping in...yikes. :P lol So yeah, I got up went to class, in my fabulicious outfit, went to lunch with my friend and sister, Lauren, and went home for the afternoon until work at 2:30pm! We just went to the dining center, but the food I had was actually pretty good today! I think a lot of that had to do with the fact that we got there right when they opened, so the food was fresh. :P I had half of a cheeseburger, french fries, some kind of weird spiral noodles with alfredo sauce, a couple sliced apples, and a glass of lemonade. Yummm!
I went home afterwards, getting there around noon. I played with the daycare kids for a little while and then I started doing some of my homework, so I don't have to worry about it later tonight when I get off work. I had to grab a few things from home, so that's mainly why I was there, but the AC is always a nice little touch. :) haha I packed a PB&J sandwich, goldfish, and a nutty bar for my supper at work while I was at home, and took off from there around 2:15ish.
When I got to work, I was the only one there, since I open, so I plugged in my iPod to the speakers and began the opening check list. Lucky for me, the store was left a mess from last night. There was food sitting out on the front counter, all of the cleaning supplies "used' last night were left out as well, the floor hadn't been vacuumed and the phones weren't hung up on the hooks or charging. How lovely! And the sad part about this is that my boss was working last night, and I know for a fact that they didn't have anyone come in last night (because I checked the schedule), so the store should not have been left in the condition that it was left in. Sorry for the rant, but I was thoroughly upset. Moving on!
Back to the present, I just got off the phone with my boss. He was calling to see how I'm doing and to let me know that the guy I'm working with tonight, Devin, is running late for work. He's scheduled for 3:30pm, and here it is at 3:30. He called to give me a five-minute heads up. Like really??? Apparently, my boss and Devin had taken a little trip today up to our new store in Clear Lake, to do God knows what. We just bought the store over the summer, so it's not open or anything yet. My guess is that they went up there to look around and get some things done (hopefully). My boss knew that he worked at 3:30 and still took him up there. When he called, they had just left Clear Lake not too long ago, which I believe is somewhere around an hour away, so I'm going to be here all alone for a while...yay. :P
I'm hoping and praying that no one comes in tonight. I know that sounds horrible, but I'm really not in the mood to ref, and I just want to get my homework done before I get off so I don't have to stay up late tonight. Plus, if no one comes in, I don't have to do the closing check list really, and I get off at 8:45 instead of 9:30, which then means I get more time to talk to Gage. So fingers crossed that this all pans out well! :) lol
