Hey guys!! Sorry I didn't post yesterday. It was an incredibly long day for me, and all I wanted to do was go to bed by the time it was over. I worked a pretty busy 9:45-6 shift, and immediately after work, my husband picked me up and took me to a Volkswagen dealership to look at possible certified used options for a second car. He had been there earlier in the day to narrow down our options and test drive a few cars. We were at the dealership from the time I got off of work until around 9, which meant I was super duper tired and hadn't been home to eat or relax since before work. We did end up buying a certified used 2012 Volkswagen Golf, so now we have two cars. Yay!! But I was tired and hungry. By the time we got home, I had no desire to make anything for dinner, so we went to McDonald's :-P After that, we went home, got ready for bed, and were asleep by like 10:30. I was exhausted.
My outfit yesterday was pretty cute, if I do say so myself. I wore a patterned Forever 21 tank top (Plato's for $6) that's super cute with a pair of dark greenish Mossimo skinny jeans. It was easy, cute, and comfy :-)
The back of this tank top is pretty sweet since there's a cutout. I don't know if you've noticed, but I love tops/dresses that have some kind of fun cutouts in them :-)
I wore a pair of taupe Traffic boots that I bought from Plato's for $10 with this outfit because they were new, fabulous, and matched my outfit :-) I do so love me some fabulous boots!!
Now, on to today: I woke up at 6:30 this morning, quickly got ready, and left by 7:30 to go take this GKT thing (General Knowledge Test) that all aspiring teachers have to take. It starts at 8 in St. Pete and was supposed to take 4 hours. Yuck, right? Right. I got there about 15 minutes early and was able to start early (thank goodness). There was four sections (all online): essay, literature, language, and math. It was basically like the ACTs easy sister. After I got done with each section, I was able to go onto the next one if I chose to do so, which I did. I ended up getting done at 10:30, and according to the unofficial scores for everything but the essay, I passed the three sections. Yay!!
So I left the testing place, got home, took a nap, got up around 1, and went to run errands with my hubby. I was luckily able to talk on the phone with my advisor to get some questions answered and then relax a bit before leaving at 5 for my class at 6, which was super awesome :-) My class itself was ok. My teacher is really cool, but a lot of my classmates tend to get off topic very easily, which means we go all the way up until 8:55 when it's over and still don't finish what we were supposed to, leading to us getting behind and having to finish the material during the next class. It's going to be a problem, I think.
For the test part of my day, I went super comfy. I wore my cropped slightly ripped American Eagle skinny jeans with a fitted white t-shirt and a gray Forever 21 cardigan that has patches on it (Plato's for $10). Really, really comfy and perfect for test-taking :-)
Now, this t-shirt is pretty awesome, and here's why: A favorite book series of mine is the Sookie Stackhouse series that the HBO show True Blood loosely draws from. In this series (both book and show), the main girl Sookie Stackhouse is a waitress in a bar in Bon Temps, Mississippi called Merlotte's Bar and Grill where she has to wear a uniform of the bar's shirt and some black pants or shorts. HBO's online store has this exact t-shirt for around $30, and I've wanted it for forever. Well, yesterday this Merlotte's t-shirt came into Plato's with a buy I was working on, I freaked out, bought it into the store, and then purchased it for myself at a whopping $4. I was so freaking happy, it's ridiculous!! But I love this t-shirt, and I hope that fellow True Blood/Sookie Stackhouse fans think it's just as awesome as I do :-) Win!!
For shoes, I wore a simpleish pair of black Soda sandals that have a little beading on them. I bought them for $5 at Plato's, and I think they're adorable :-) Plus, they go with everything because they're fairly simple black sandals. Another win!!
For the later part of my day, I went with another super comfy outfit: a coral-and-white striped Cotton On shirt with the same cropped American Eagle skinnies from earlier. I was still kind of tired from yesterday and having to wake up early to take a test today, and I didn't feel like going all out :-P
To make the outfit a little bit cuter, I wore my fabulous mint green Forever 21 sandals that I got for $7.80 IN STORE. I love them, they're fabulous, and yeah... There's really no other explanation as to why I wear them a lot :-P
After class tonight, I came home, took pictures for this post, and got ready for bed. I'm most definitely ready to sleep, and since I'm working a 9.5 hour closing shift on Friday the Thirteenth, I know I'm going to need all the sleep I can get :-P Not that I'm necessarily into all that superstitious stuff, but it doesn't hurt to brace yourself or be prepared for anything, especially when it comes to working retail and dealing with crazy customers.
Well, my lovelies, this fashionista is calling it a night. I'm in serious need of some beauty sleep. Until tomorrow... Stay fabulous :-) Ciao!!
-Kassy
